This was a great experience until the very end. We booked this tour because it specifically said it drops you back off two blocks away from where our hotel was. Viator lets you customize experiences and there are many options for the same activity through many different booking options. The option we chose was a different drop off location than the general itinerary. We paid for a specific location that was in our actual booking. The tour company driver didn’t understand this (language barrier) and dropped us off at the general location, not where we booked (45 minutes from the actual drop off location in our booking). I spoke to the tour company and they denied it even though I sent multiple screenshots and screen recordings showing what we actually booked through Viator. The hot air balloon company itself takes bookings directly through their website, through Viator and many other 3rd party vendors. We were on a bus with other groups that booked through different sources. What I specifically booked should have been honored since it literally says it in my booking….They refused to refund us the $15 for the Uber we needed to take after paying $400+ for the booking. Very big miscommunication that left us confused on our anniversary…. If the drop off location was where they claimed it was supposed to be, it would show in my booking. It did not.…it showed the actual location clear across the city by our hotel that was in my specific booking. The customer service was horrendous. Please be cautious when paying for this experience despite what your booking may say. Our entire tour group and those who booked through other vendors were confused…that isn’t a coincidence…
