This visit to Cuernavaca and Taxco was lovely. Nice countryside, nice stop at a silver factory with good prices, fabulous lunch includes soup, main course and cake for under $20 US dollars, 2 beautiful cathedrals, quaint towns, nice townspeople, our driver/guide Roberto was very nice and informative. Long day but worth it.

Our tour guide Pável was amazing ! He definitely had plenty of knowledge on the pre-Hispanic stories and highlights of the towns we visited. Our tour included round trip transportation, the van was actually comfortable with AC and chargers. It’s an all day trip so be aware to not reserve anything else for the night. First stop was at Cuernavaca where we briefly went inside the church , then we stopped at a restaurant where Buffet was waiting for us (you pay for your plate + drink) The guide then took us downstairs to a silver store and they explained the process of silver making and time to buy jewelry if you wished. Our next stop was Taxco (the reason why I booked) I simply loved this magical town! It was so lively with live music, people dancing at the plaza and plenty of vendors and stores to buy souvenirs. I had some authentic ice cream, churros and got me some beautiful art from a local vendor (always buy from locals!!) Gracias Pavel y nuestro conductor Martin por hacer está expericia tan divertida.
The experience was amazing, was a highlight in my Mexico trip, the food was amazing, the guide Gabriela was so friendly and helpful, as an English speaker highly recommended.
Lot of time on the road. Probably 12 hours total and 7 of it driving. The Cuernavaca part probably not necessary as the stop is very short.
Way too much time spent in the silver boutiques. One rather than two would have been great. Our guide compounded two jobs, being the driver and the guide and in two languages.. She is a Super driver 5 Stars for sure!
Both cities feature visits to jewelry stores with a wide selection of silver items. Explanations were provided about the differences in the quality of silver. Both cities feature their Catholic churches and their unique art and design. The colonial architecture of the buildings of Taxco's city centre and it's white wash is rather stunning. Our guide, Eduardo, was informative, jovial and has a great sense of humour, which I truly appreciate.
We enjoyed this tour Taxco is such a beautiful town and in Cuernavaca you make one stop only to see a church. It was however a long trip but worth it.
We’ve had the best time with Gabriela visiting Cuernavaca and Taxco on our private tour from Mexico City. Gabby is absolutely amazing- knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We’ve learned a lot, saw unique places and loved learning and sharing. Would highly recommend this tour!
Tour guides were great. Transportation was nice and clean. They were prompt to pick us us. The stop at Cuernavaca was one hour and it’s only for one block but it is pretty. The second stop at Taxco was too short considering there is more to see. Recommendation is to skip the jewelry store on the way to Taxco, shorten the visit/talking points at the church and the other jewelry store. Only had free time to eat and go into one store. I understand the tour company or guides can make money with stops at certain stores but I’d rather pay extra to skip those places. Overall I would recommend this tour company.
The tour picked us up from our hotel. The guide Daniel and driver Miguel spoke to us in Spanish and English. They told us all about Mexico City as we drove through on our way to Cuernavaca. Cortez was a good topic and we were shown lots of beautiful old church. The streets were full of vibrant people. The next stop was in Taxco, after a very interesting ride through a cloud high roadway. In Taxco we went to a fourth generation silver store, with a guaranteed 92.5% purity. We shopped and bought some very fine silver. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, answering all our questions. Afterwards we strolled through the village and enjoyed a mountain dinner. Well planned and highly enjoyable! 5 stars!
We had a wonderful and exciting time with our tour and our guide, who was so friendly, helpful and speaks fantastic English!!
It was listed as 9 hour tour but it actually took more than 11 hours. They spent too much time in Taxco that was not needed. The trip to Cuernavaca was not that great either. Only the church was covered not the Maxmilian summer house.
We were a little worried at the beginning of this tour as it started about a half an hour late and very little information was given to us when we got picked up. However, once we got to Cuernavaca everything was explained and we really enjoyed seeing what Cuernavaca had to offer - we will definitely go back and spend more time there. What really made this trip exceptional was Taxco - once we finally arrived in the town we knew the whole trip was worth it. Taxco is simply amazing to see and walk around in - we'll worth seeing - we will be coming back to spend more time there. We did arrive home quite late due to an accident on the freeway which caused a two hour delay getting home the driver made an extra stop for us because it was taking so long to get home. I would definitely recommend this trip.
We made a brief stop in Cuernavaca and the tour guide did not provide a lot of history information about the church. I did the same tour (with a different company) about nine years ago and the guide was very knowledgeable. I feel the tour company should extend the visit to Cuernavaca. The visit to the silver store was a bit long. The worst part was when the guide insisted we go into another store in Taxco after the church visit. I feel the guide wants us to buy more in order to get a cut. I felt disappointed because it was my husband’s first visit and he was not impressed.
It was a tour to remember especially traveling with family to both enjoy wonderful cities in and around Mexico city
Awesome, very knowledgeable tour guide and a lot of fun great ride and driver was great as well, highly recommended
Cuernavaca and Taxco are very with busting as they are colonial towns. Need sun hat and sturdy shoes because the streets are cobble-stoned
Worst day trip ever! Waste of valuable vacation time. They took us to an artificial mine (silver store) away from the actual town of Taxco where they wasted 2+ hours of our time with no options. We had to wait while others finished eating their tourist trap food in the silver store, in a random area. Once they finally drove us into town, they took us to a second silver store (another tourist trap)! Pick another tour company, hopefully you’ll have better luck!
We were stopped by the national Guard on our way from Cuernavaca to Taxco and were surrounded by guns for an hour with no knowledge of what’s was going on.
We discovered beautiful and interesting places. The tour was fun, very entertaining and they delivered what we expected.
The agency was a bit late. The tour bus was experiencing problems with the clutch since the beginning. The space between the seats was so small and tight, it was not a comfortable journey for a tall person like me. We arrived at Cuernavaca and the tour guide told us that a new tour bus is coming due to the clutch issue. We had to wait an hour or more for the new bus. The tour guide would avoid us at some instances when we wanted to know a time frame to be back at the bus. We were very late for our Taxco visit. We left Taxco at 7pm, arrived to Mexico City at 11:30pm, due to traffic.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and she spoke English and Spanish! I always feel safe when I come to Mexico!
The lunch was awful. The guide was driving the bus as well. He drank a couple of beers during lunch. All the driving was good, but I don´t like a driver who drinks beer during his duty. The stop in Cuernavaca is too short to enjoy, and the guide focus on jokes and other stories, but nothing about the place.
Great Tour; However, the Buffet Food was Mediocre, please choose a real restaurant , tour Guide was great
Amazing places, excellent staff and wonderful food. We went to the silver place and had tequila or Mezcal. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I recommend it 💯
The tour with our guide Javier was incredible. The stop in Cuernavaca is short but still amazing. Keep in mind when visiting Taxco to visit Museo de Lagrimas, a mansion made museum offering a glimpse to life in the past.
Great company to tour with (mexitours). The tour guide/driver was excellent. A great opportunity to see the countryside. Taxco is a must see.
too much road trip for one day, you will spend al the time traveling and less time at destinations. It's a waste of time.
This tour needs to be more than just 1 day. It takes too long to get to the destinations. The van ride was too uncomfortable. I felt like we saw very little of Cuernavaca and Taxco and forced to shop instead. The lunch needs more of a variety... quesadillas, sopes or enchiladas. Definitely need a true English speaking tour guide.

Mexitours, again....This time the tour guide was good but not great. Lunch was a buffet and it was not ok. Cuernavaca is a nice place and Taxco, known for the silver, was ok. I know this tour companies has to send tourists to the COOP's but sometimes they are too pushy.

Julieta our guide was very knowledgeable about history of the areas we drove through. There were only two of us English speakers and she was careful to translate her comments for us personally. The scenery we saw was spectacular and Taxco itself was absolutely beautiful. I plan to return.

Very disorganized company - tour started 2 hours late. Instead of English tour as it was requested we got into Spanish speaking group and the guide struggled to constantly translate between languages which resulted in disappointing and incomprehensive experience.

They should confirm the exact meeting time for lunch with you. The departure was at 9 am and at 8:30 am they called me to tell me that the meeting time was at 8:15 am.
Taxco is totally worth it; Cuernavaca could be a much shorter stop. We took the tour that combines Cuernavaca and Taxco and, although it was interesting to see both destinations, we felt that too much time is spent in Cuernavaca for what the stop offers within this tour. In our case, Taxco was truly the big attraction of the day: its architecture, its streets, its churches, its landscapes, and that historic city atmosphere make one want to explore it much more calmly. We would have loved to have more time there to walk, get to know its corners, and truly enjoy the destination. We consider that the tour would be much more attractive if Cuernavaca were handled as a brief visit and the majority of the time were allocated to Taxco, or even if there were an option focused solely on Taxco.
Wonderful service, their attention and energy were super good.
Awful customer service, they kept me waiting 45 min for the bus to arrive, I ask the guides and they don't know, I ask customer service and it tells me that because they passed through a couple to their hotel, they made me walk to the meeting point, Silvia Mejia customer service tells me that why they don't pass to all the hotels, which I never asked
The experience was full of culture, history, warm people. Evelyn, our guide, and Ale, our operator, were friendly and communicative. I advise patience at pickup locations, operators may not arrive on time - traffic is overwhelming at CDMX. The time in Cuernavaca is limited, it is a panoramic visit but very full of important events in Mexican history. The visit in Taxco is more extensive, you walk through its streets, interact with locals. Don’t miss the opportunity to climb up to the Church’s bell tower, if enabled.
Very punctual, reliable agency and provide excellent service. The Guides are very friendly and charismatic
It is a beautiful excursion! of Cuernavaca you can only see the chapels, maybe you could tour it a little more, but that would take time for Taxco that is truly unmissable! I advise to stay at least 1 night to enjoy it fully and without hurry. Both the guide Hugo and the operator Jorge were most friendly!!! super recommended!!!
The stop in Cuernavaca was super short to get to know the center a little better, when we were about to arrive at Taxco we went to a dining room which had no other food options than the Buffet that was had for the rest of the group and when we arrived at Taxco which was our main destination we were 3 hours maximum to know the most relevant of the center; so I think that should handle the time better.
Because of lunch, I had lunch because they said a buffet. It wasn’t that:: just a soup and a main plate with only 3 choices of each. For dessert no choice For the price I am very disappointed...
A top driver, Jorge, and a guide, Pavel, very clear and interesting in his explanations and comments Excellent day to recommend
The guide Ricardo was very friendly and patient with the whole group, the visit to Cuernavaca was brief but beautiful; the visit to Taxco could improve a little is lost a lot of time in silver workshop where you arrive prior to the center of Taxco and I think you could improve in that the option of eating, is not in that place forcibly, but in the center everyone choose where to eat. Everything else from the visit well, Taxco is very nice. Finally something we didn’t like was that the driver was making awkward comments when he saw women on the street.
Very good tour, The manager of the trip was very friendly, attentive and professional; the trip was quiet and safe. I met, learned and had fun.
Taxco is very beautiful, colonial, the guide was excellent, cobblestone streets, recommended place, lots of silver jewelry
We waited more than 2 hours to start the tour. In Hornavaca we only had 30 min, and we knew nothing more there. At Taxco they put us in a jewelry store away and left us for an hour, then they were forcing us to eat at a restaurant we didn’t want to go into, and there was nothing nearby, because I was several kilometers away before entering Taxco. Then they took us and left us at Taxco for 4 hours. And now. We return at 00:30 to CDMX... I really paid to have an organized, 100% guided experience but I think I would have done better if I had taken public transport.
Esteban (The guide) and Antonio (the driver) gave us an excellent Service. Esteban was very detailed in telling the story of the trip and other cities since we started the tour. The problem is that the trip is very long because you lose a lot of time at the stop of Cuernavaca and the silverware of Taxco (prior to arrival in the village). That stop forces eating in one place with no other options. We leave at 9am and after the Cuernavaca and lunch stops we arrive at the taxco center at 4pm. The guide dropped us off at taxco until 7pm, and we set off at night for CDMX (which I understand is reckless). In Taxco stores close between 6-6:30pm so we waited there for 30-45mins. I urge you to have better control of the schedule. Although we left very punctual, we arrived at CDM at 10:30pm
Excellent pilot and guide. Super lively all the way. Excellent explanation of each place visited. Good suggestions for eating and drinking.
Hay varias cosas que mejorar. Horarios. Salida 1 hora posterior a la indicada. Te indican que llegues al lugar de partida 8.45 y el tour operador indica que su servicio inicia 9.30. Al llegar al lugar de inicio del tour no tienes como identificar al operador. Lugares a visitar. Te llevan a una tienda de joyas de plata que es muy cara y no te dan opción de ir a otras al menos para comparar precios. Si no compras nada pierdes 2 horas. Opciones de comida: En el restaurante que elige el operador solicita la carta general. Los precios y la comida son mejores. Ahorras al menos el 50% a la opción del tour.
The tour was an incredible experience, Easter in Taxco is living different the traditions of our Mexico, travel with MEXITOURS and gave me a pleasant experience along the way, the guide Humberto gave us in detail every historical data from the departure of the cdmx until the arrival to Cuernavaca and later to Taxco, Operator Alfredo took us and brought us back with well, the unit was perfectly clean and in good condition.
