Balloon Flight With Teotihuacan & Guadalupe Shrine Full Day Tour

I booked with Amigo tours and while the experience was unforgettable in the end, there were some things that were extremely confusing. Firstly, half of our party paid for pick up since our accommodations were far from the meeting place and the metro would not be open yet. The vehicle that came to pick us up was not marked at all even though all the communications said it would have "ALFA" written on it somewhere. The van that picked us up from the meeting point was not marked at all either. All tour vans apparently meet at the same place so it got confusing when it came time to find the right driver. When we arrived at the place, check in was easy but it was unclear that the breakfast was included in the tour we paid for. The balloon ride itself was amazing and views wonderful. The crew were very professional and showed their expertise and experience. After the ride, we were taken to a break fast buffet which was again unclear how it was "included" when none of my paperwork said so but nevertheless, we enjoyed it. The last stop was to a market place where we were taught about the many magics of the agave plant and shown many local products for purchase. In spite of all the confusion, I would still highly recommend this experience.

This was an absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish! Seeing the sun rise over the Teotihuacán pyramids from a hot-air balloon was breathtaking, with incredible views that we’ll never forget. The breakfast was lovely, and exploring the pyramids afterwards was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the history and culture of this amazing ancient civilisation. Our guide, Poncho, was absolutely incredible! He was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate, making the whole experience even more special. Everything was well organised, and the entire day exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Mexico City. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

This was such an incredible, once in a lifetime experience, and I couldn't recommend it more. Seeing the Teotihuacán pyramids from above in a hot air balloon was absolutely breathtaking and something I'll never forget. A huge shout out to our guide, Poncho, who was absolutely incredible! He was so knowledgeable, friendly and passionate, and made the whole experience even more special. From the balloon ride and breakfast to exploring the pyramids and learning about the history and culture of Mexico, everything was fantastic. If you're visiting Mexico City, this experience is an absolute must! The views were unforgettable, the organisation was great, and Poncho truly made the day. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Pick up was smooth, but very early. Our guide Alex was tremendously knowledgeable and very friendly. Our group was both English and Spanish speaking, so all information had to be given in both languages, which was made things feel a bit rushed at times. All in all it was a great day and we enjoyed our experience (though would recommend they book single language groups if possible).

Terrible experience. Woke up at 3 am to meet at the location provided at 4:10 in order to be picked up at 4:20 as we were told. Waited, and waited. Saw many vans come by and asked each one were they with amigo tours. Everyone said no. The one van that did come 25 minutes late for amigo tours picked up 3 other passengers and stated that another driver had us on his list. Ultimately we waited until 5:15 am then received a text message stating we “missed” transportation that never came. This experience was supposed to be for my birthday and I was unable to do it as we left the next day. Would not recommend Amigo tours because even if they do pick you up, they will be later. Horrible. Go with CDMX instead

Exceptional experience. A vital/necessary journey for anyone visiting Mexico for their first or second time. Tour guides were incredibly accommodating to any and all needs, known and unknown. This was truly an unforgettable tour of the city, and my immense satisfaction went beyond my expectations.

Amazing experience a must do when visiting Mexico City!

As one of the last day trips in our almost 3 week long vacation to Mexico visiting the English speaking guide Phoncho made an absolutely great “grand finale” of our trip. He was very pleasant and shared his knowledge in a humanistic way. We chose the departure at 10 a.m. including Mexican barbacoa lunch. The slightly touristy place had made a great lunch roasting a lamb in a stone pit-oven and we were watching when the “oven” was opened. When booking the tour, I didn’t choose the option of paying for the food which I though was slightly overpriced. When visiting the site there wasn’t really any other places to eat hence the barbecue is part of the entertainment. And sure, it was. Paying for food insight did not make it cheaper. Actually the very first time visiting Mexico where I felt the cost was a little bit overpriced. But dont miss this tour for any reason it is something we will never forget!

Alexa was our guide and Francesco was our driver. Thank you to the both of them for their hard work. Alexa was a fantastic tour guide, and the tour was very well-structured with time for both guided explanations and free exploration of the sites. Alexa led the tour in both Spanish and English the whole time; it was clear from her fluent delivery and use of visuals that she is a well-experienced guide. I learned so much from her about the history of the sites that I would not have learned otherwise. The only suggestions I would have for people thinking to book this tour is to dress in layers—it was quite cold waiting for the hot air balloon in the morning and quite hot by the time we got to the pyramids—and to pack a few snacks. The breakfast buffet is delicious but there is no lunch time built into the tour. Overall, it was a wonderful day!

Lily and Eleazar made a wonderful and inmersive experiencie. Eleazar really lives and loves history and culture, and it grows on you, 10/10 guide.

I had an absolutely amazing experience on this tour! From start to finish, everything was well organized, enjoyable, and exceeded my expectations. The highlight of the day was definitely the hot air balloon experience. It was breathtaking to see the incredible views from above, and it was such a peaceful and unforgettable adventure. It was something I’ve always wanted to do, and it ended up being even better than I imagined. I also really enjoyed the tequila tasting. It was fun, informative, and gave us the opportunity to learn about the different varieties and the tequila-making process while sampling some excellent selections. The buffet was another standout. The food was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of options. There was something for everyone, and everything I tried was flavorful and well prepared. What truly made the experience exceptional was our tour guide, Mariam. She was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire day. She made sure everyone felt comfortable, answered all of our questions, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Her positive attitude and professionalism made the tour even more enjoyable. Because of her, I’ve learned how beautiful Mexican culture is! I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun, memorable, and well-organized experience. Between the unforgettable hot air balloon ride, the excellent tequila tasting, the delicious buffet, and the outstanding tour guide, it was a day I’ll never forget. It was such an amazing experience for an all day tour! Pick up was accurate and great, our tour guide Mariam was lovely! Very knowledgeable and amazing bilingual skills for the mix group. We did 3 tours in one and they were all amazing and fulfilling. Enough time was provided between each tours to explore, buy things, and safely return to the meet up points during the tour. I would definitely rebook with other friends in the future! Jibby was a treat at being our driver and keeping our belongings and souvenirs safe!

Wonderful Tour and well coordinated right from keeping you in the loop prior to the Tour Wright the way through the Tour and on the way home. Sal did a wonderful job of shedding light on the Teotihuacan tour giving us more insight into the magnificent structures we were reviewing. The same with a basilica de Guadalupe. The breakfast that they served after the balloon ride was also wonderful. wonderful local cuisine, a beautiful array of fruit, and unique fillings for tacos. And it all started with a wonderful balloon ride over the temples and surrounding area. The views were fabulous and the pilot was very professional. I would highly recommend this Tour as it made seeing several key sites convenient to see in one day. Sal and the other guide were very knowledgeable and kept the group together and on remember that time without feeling intrusive and giving us time to take in the sites.

Eleazar is easily one of the best tour guides we've come across in our travels. He's extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and all in all, a great person. He not only imparted knowledge of the sites, but also best places for pictures where you went from a sea of people to a handful, knew the vendors with great artisanal pieces, and was a great photographer! Looking forward to having him as a guide again.

The photo and video packages were too expensive. They should allow people in the same balloon group to split the cost, because in the end, if one person pays, other faces will still appear in the videos and photos. But they only allow it per reservation, and that makes it far too expensive. They sent me a link that didn’t work, and they never responded afterward — not on WhatsApp, nor on social media. The pilot didn’t go up as high as other balloons. It was a nice experience, but the service from this group was not good.

Hector was an amazing guide. It is an early morning, but an unforgettable experience. Awe inspiring and filled with immense cultural history. Once of the best tours I have ever been on.

I'll consider one of my all time favorite activity I've ever done in my lifetime. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day weather wise. The people we were with in the balloon along with our excellent pilot made for an unforgettable day. Seeing the Teotihuan ruins from above is a once in a lifetime experience. From the time we got picked up until we were dropped off, we were made special thanks mainly to our guide, Miriam. I would highly recommend this company and activity to everyone.

It was a bucket list item and totally unforgettable. It was worth getting up so early and the cost. The view was incredible. The piglet and staff were very friendly and accommodating.

It was nice, but they scheduled an additional person in a last minute, who arrived pretty late when we already were on our way to Teotlihuacan. Then since there was one more person, space in the flight was super uncomfortable (5 people in a really small basket, while the other baskets were occupied by 4 or less people). I personally wasn’t able to see well, the person who gets in the middle of the small basket will not enjoy fully the experience.

The tour and the experience was great. The only bad thing was that the he tour guide did not show up on time, so another guide had to take us. He hat part was the only bad thing, because the tour company emphasizes a lot the need to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the departure. Our departure time was at 4;50 am, so arriving at 4;30 am in the cold water hen waiting until 5:10 not knowing if your tour is taking place was disappointing. All the rest was very good

To be floating in the air with 50 or more other balloons watching the sun come up over the pyramids was truly a wonderful experience. Our pilot, Camilo, made us feel very safe. Everything was well organized. Our lady guide for the day (sorry, I don't remember her name) was very informative. Our breakfast after the ride at the restaurant was delicious. The stop at the local obsidian workshop was informative, with free samples of tequila, and fun but a little long. The Basilica Lady of Guadalupe and Teotihuacan was interesting. Be prepared for a long day but worth it.
