Logistics could have been better communicated. Didn’t find out pickup time until late the night before, and with an early pickup time, it was stressful. The driver arrived slightly outside the pickup window, which also added to the stress. Unfortunately our balloon ride was cancelled due to weather, but we were told we would be refunded a portion of our money. However, even the communication on the refund was inconsistent. The guide was very nice, but with no ballon tour, nothing for them to do at breakfast, and no guided tour of the ruins, I feel torn about the value of this trip. All else considered, my main complaint is that I did not realize that the pyramids were not guided. Furthermore, the guide said 45-60 mins would be sufficient and we should meet back at the bus. The whole group returned to the bus and felt that the visit warranted more time, but didn’t realize it was possible. On the bright side, I thought the breakfast was tasty.

We had a wonderful experience! Watching the sunrise from a hot air balloon was absolutely gorgeous, and seeing the sky filled with dozens of colorful balloons was a highlight of the trip. The early morning wake-up was definitely the hardest part, but it was well worth it. We booked the transportation option and highly recommend it, as it made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Breakfast in a cave was a fun and unique touch, too! While it is definitely a touristy experience, it’s absolutely worth doing. Our guide, Carlos, was fantastic and spoke flawless English. Overall, a memorable experience that I would highly recommend!
