The tour was as advertised. The tour guide was knowledgeable and attentive. Just be aware that there is a fair amount of walking at night over uneven sidewalks and a LOT of stair climbing to get to the cheap seats we had.

When we first arrived we were a little concerned about the tour. The tour starts in the training facility and then goes to the arena. It turned out to be a fantastic tour with us getting in the ring with a luchador wrestler, having some mexcal, snacks and tacos before heading to the arena. Gabby even gave us a cheat sheet of the appropriate responses to use at the matches. Fantastic wrestling, great seats, show and people watching. Gabby even walked us to an easier location to catch an Uber afterwards. Highly recommend.
It was an interesting experience. We started at a wrestling school, but there was a team already practicing so there was not much to see, and it was difficult to hear our guide explain the history of Lucha Libre as it was very loud there. We then walked to a taco place where there was no space for us and it was a bit disorganized so we stood at the side of the street and ate our tacos and then it was a very long walk to the arena. We had the most basic tickets at the arena.
A great way to experience Lucha Libre. Gabby knows the sport well and provides a great tour. Tacos and tequila are great too!
What a fun evening! Watching aspiring wrestlers practice and learning about the history of lucha libre was great. We also learned about mezcal and sampled some too! Meeting and taking pictures with a luchador, getting our own masks and learning about their significance, and then eating tacos was just a preview to the main event: a (long-ish) walk to the Arena Mexico to see the love event. Our guides were amazing and kind, just a great experience overall
What a fun experience! Gab was our tour guide and she was extremely cool and approachable. I value people who put me at ease. Gab not only guided us but poured our mezcal (as much as we wanted) too—how can you resist a tour guide who’s also your bartender? And her boyfriend was a sweetheart too. Shoutout to our long-haired friend who joined us because Rush was in town. 👋🏼 We started out by meeting outside the wrestling center where the luchadoras and luchadores practice. Once everyone joined us, we went inside. I got to wrestle with a duck and the duck let me put him in a headlock!!! I learned some moves I could use on my friend, Mark, who had it coming. The other guys were from the UK (?). Fun guys, just post college age, who were fun and game to party. We ate tacos at the stands, tasted the varied mezcals, and wrestled. Oh yes, and we went to the arena for Lucha Libre! Good times. Great memories! Thank you, Gab for making it so special! Hasta la proxima!! ♥️🤼♂️
This was a wonderful experience that totally fed by inner child! As a kid who grew up enjoying pro wrestling and being fascinated by the luchadores of WCW and WWE, to travel to Mexico City, visit the HOME country of Lucha Libre was beyond description. Gaby is wonderfully knowledgable of the sport, Sky Man was COOL, the mezcal shot was delicious, and getting in the ring was locked away as a new core memory. We visited the arena and the energy was ELECTRIC. Something to note that if you're slightly afraid of heights or uncomfortable with stairs, you'll be high up in the stands, which are made for smaller stature. I have no regrets. I put my fear of heights aside and frankly the balcony seats have the BEST VIEW of the ring in the house. I can't express how perfect it was. You have to go! The spot we stopped for tacos was delicious as well. Whatever we get in the States could never compare to authentic tacos made with fresh ingredients. Have it with a Mexican Coke - made with natural, pure cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Crisp and paired perfectly with our meal. Don't think twice, book it and have a great time. Some things to note before you go: Know your own physical capabilities. At the wrestling school you'll be invited into the ring to learn some moves (volunteers). Nothing too crazy, but they are not kidding - you will learn to flip and roll. It is up to you to go in and you should not if you're concerned about getting hurt, etc. If you do, it's on you. I broke a mild sweat rolling around in there, but at 260 lbs and a woman who lifts weights: I was just fine. Note the stairs at the arena - there will be a few flights to get to the top. Nothing too crazy, again - I was fine. Just a note for folks who are concerned about heights. Would I do take this tour again: ABSOLUTELY.
We did the Friday night Lucha Libre experience with Gabriel as our guide. Overall it was a blast! From meeting at the school, experiencing the ring with a professional wrestler, delicious tacos served afterwards, to the matches at Arena Mexico it was absolutely pure fun. My family and our friend loved it! I’ve been to more sporting events in my life than I can count, and I have to tell you the energy and excitement at the Arena was off the charts! The spectators go absolutely nuts for Lucha Libre! If you’ve never gone to the Lucha Libre matches in Mexico City, you need to experience that at least once in your life. Mil Gracias to Gabriel for a wonderful experience!!
Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Mexico City! Even though I made a huge fool of myself in the ring with the real wrestlers, my friends and I had a great time at the lucha libre gym. After experiencing how difficult it is to do basic lucha libre moves at the gym, I was totally blown away by the professional wrestlers once we got to the arena. The matches were such a blast, and our guide Gaby was amazing. I was in Mexico City for a few days from the US and had been doing standard tourist things like going to museums, archeological sites, etc. Places like that are cool and all, but it was so refreshing to change things up and do a high-energy lucha libre tour with a local guide.
We had a great time and this really exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area!
This was my favorite tour of Our trip! We met at the wrestling school and met El Picote a Mexican wrestler that attends the school. Mezcal tasting & local tacos were delicious!! We had a great time at the show and our tour guide stayed with us to explain more wrestling information. I wore my mask most of the time and had a great experience!
We had the best time ever!!!! I would so highly recommend this tour and Gabriel! He was very informative and friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We had the best time ever!
Gaby was very passionate and gave a great background of the history of Lucha Libre. A bit theatrical when we went on the Saturday show at the Arena.
Fantastic real experience - do this one. You get to do some light training at a legit training gym and the host has all the tea on the local wrestling scene. Would recommend to everyone.
Lots of fun. Gab was great. It was interesting to find out about the tradition and being part of the enthusiastic audience. Awesome vibes, check it out.
This is truly a unique and incredible experience! We all felt so comfortable with our host Gaby and learned so much about lucha libre! And aside from going to the awesome show, I will never forget getting into a wrestling ring for the first time in my life. Bucket list item checked!
Signed up for a Friday night tour with 12 other friends, and it was easily the highlight of our trip. Gaby was very responsive on WhatsApp, and Gabriel, our guide, was very knowledgeable, attentive, and chill. Tacos were delicious, and we learned and laughed a lot at the wrestling school tour. Lucha tickets are in the nosebleeds, but honestly, the energy is much better higher up in the arena. There were actually people behind us heckling the low-energy big-cash people ringside lol. Just a heads up to head to the meet up spot near the Arena earlier than expected. The traffic is no joke and adds twice the amount of time needed to get anywhere. Would recommend and will be back!
Gaby gave us a great tour! First stop tasting different types of mezcal with choice of chasers from green tomatoes, oranges, cocoa and grasshoppers! 2nd stop a great local taco shop! Final stop was the main event Lucho Libre at the Coliseo! Highly recommend this fun local venue and Gaby to be your guide!
Gab was a very good guide. She was very attentive to everyone’s needs and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed this experience
I can't say enough good things about this evening seeing Lucha Libre. Gabriel gave a fantastic tour. We started at a small neighborhood wrestling ring where we got our masks, sipped mezcal, and learned about the wrestling culture. We also met a wrestler, Demasiado, who showed a few moves to some in our group and posed for photos. He was awesome. We then went for some delicious tacos and then walked to Arena Mexico for the match. I liked the unique approach to the tour... you could tell our guide genuinely wanted everyone to have a good time and learn about the wrestling but also the importance of it to Mexico. Afterwards we gathered at an easily identifiable spot for an Uber or Didi pick up to get home. I would highly recommend this tour.
The arena was huge and having a guide helped us to navigate the ins and outs of the arena. Gaby our guide was quite informative and gave us a brief history of Lucho Libre and introduction to the matches of the evening. Loved the small group size and personalized experience. The taco and tequila/ mezcal tasting was a bonus. I highly recommend this tour.
The event was a lot of fun and informative. This was booked as a quasi-surprise for my husband, as I don't care much for wrestling. The taco place was good. Our guide was very engaging, and the conversation flowed. We learned about the history of Luche Libre, this history of the arena and specific Luche Libre company that we were seeing. We enjoyed several matches. Note, our original tour was cancelled because the guide fell sick. We were especially grateful for the extra effort the guide's company/teammates made to accommodate our schedule and rescheduled us to a date that worked for us!
Gabriel is an excellent guide, he really knows and loves Lucha and has so much insider info. The group size was 15 or so, we were 6 people including one 11yo and it was appropriate for him as he didn’t do mezcal but he did get a kick out of eating the insect snacks. The Lucha match is a really fun time, so much going on! Thank you Gabriel for a really memorable night in our first trip to CDMX.
I'm hesitant to write a "bad" review, because the guide seemed like a nice enough guy. But, the tour wasn't a positive experience. First, the guide was late to the first stop and then he and the wait staff had to find enough chairs, get waters for everybody, etc. The group was stuck sitting in a storage/conference room twiddling our thumbs. Then the "mezcal tasting" was two small sips of mezcal. At this point the guide told us we were running late and had to hurry. We walked to a taqueria that he had apparently scheduled with to have room for our large group. But, we were late and the taqueria gave our space away. We were stuck waiting on the sidewalk while the guide tried to figure out what to do. When we did finally get some tacos it was rushed. There was not even enough time for a second beer. Then we got to the arena. The guide got us to our terrible seats and then disappeared. The entire groups seats were not together, so I thought he was with other group members. But, when he finally returned he said he had seen a friend. He sat down and was on his phone for most of the rest of the matches. Lucha libre was fun. The tour took away from it. I guess if you are not comfortable navigating Mexico City or ordering your own tacos this may be a good, but expensive, option.
Gabriel was the best. He was so engaging, prepared and fun - making this a true highlight of our stay.
Gaby was an excellent tour guide! She was so gracious and helpful and explained everything at Lucha Libre! We'd love to join one of her tours again!
This was a very good tour with an incredibly knowledgeable and kind host! We learned so much about Lucha Libre and got so many of our questions answered! It was lovely to get to not just experience the matches, but learn the context, culture, and references!
Gabriel was a great tour guide, the experience was amazing! Tacos were tasty, mezcal soo good and lucha libre at the Coliseo was entertaining
What a fun and safe experience! Gabriel did a great job immersing us in Lucha Libre vocabulary, history and slang! Book this tour if you are interested in Lucha Libre!
What a fun evening! We enjoyed the tacos, the local mezcal and the explanation of lucha libre. Our guide was great
Great experience. Tacos were bomb. Loved getting to choose a mask for the event. The hype of the crowd and a cheat sheet with words to yell in the arena was a major highlight! Gabby was knowledgeable and very helpful!
Gabby was great! Really sweet & answered questions we had. The tacos were bomb and the lucha libre fight was amazing!
The experience was great! Ivan and the crew got the vibe going at the Taqueria with lots of drinks, and taught the large group some Spanish slang. They led us to the arena and made sure we got a good view in our seats. Definitely recommend this experience if you’re up for meeting new people in a fun adventure. The LUCHADOR masks were included and a lot of fun!
I had a great time during this excursion! Arturo and his team were very kind and entertaining. They gave us an overview of La Lucha Libre, introduced us to some bad words they use during the matches, and we had tacos and mezcalitas before heading over to Arena Mexico. This was my favorite thing to do during my time in Mexico City! As a heads up, digital cameras are not permitted into the stadium. If you bring one, you're chancing it with whoever pats you down at the entrance on whether or not they'll let you in with it. You can only take photos with your phone. I think you can check your camera at the stadium, but its easier to just leave it behind.
I can not recommend this enough. Our guide was funny, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. This is a true and authentic experience. Will definitely book again in my next trip!
Great time! The food was great and the fight was entertaining. Gabriel was very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.
Great time! Really good tacos, and the show was amazing. The guides were the best part, shout out to Ivan, he’s both CDMX and Californian so he’s great with English and also the life of CDMX
We had so much fun on this tour! Our guide shared the history of Lucia Libra and we had amazing tacos, mezcal and beer. The meeting location was close to the event and we truly enjoyed the night! Don’t hesitate to book!
It was really good. We got to learn a lot about Lucas Libra and we met one of the wrestlers and the masks were fun that we got. However, the food at the taco place was not great. Nice mezcal! And really good Lucha libre!!!!!
Such a fun night! Gabriel was a great guide—super knowledgeable and made the history of lucha libre really interesting. The mezcal shots were a nice bonus. Highly recommend this tour!
This was epic! We learned about the history of lucha libre and some of their performers. The stadium was a bit hectic but were able to make it in quickly since we were part of a tour. At the taqueria we ate tacos. Only suggestion would be to take orders for the food earlier or when people booked the tours. We arrived a couple of minutes late and missed the first match.
This was such a fun, intimate, and informative experience. We absolutely loved every minute of it. We went as a family with our 12 year old and we all had the best time. Gaby taught us so much about lucha libre and mezcal. She loves the sport and actually trains in lucha libre! She could answer any question we had and was happy to give us recommendations for places to go and things to do in CDMX. She also connected us with trusted guides for other tours as well. Even after the event was over, Gaby walked us to a safe pick up place and made sure we were comfortable getting home. Overall, this was a highlight of our trip. We appreciate the hospitality and kindness and would 100% recommend this to all ages. Such a fun and exciting night!!
Gabriel had great knowledge about the history of Lucha Libre and a great mask selection. The mezcal and taqueria were delicious as well!
could not recommend enough!!! we had so much fun and learned a lot about lucha libre. it was a must do on our list, and we definitely picked the right tour by picking this one! gabriel was extremely knowledgeable about everything which made it much more enjoyable. we even got a mask and a little card that translated the most common phrases everybody shouted at the ring! if you find time in your schedule, absolutely book this.
Great experience! Gabriel is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable especially when it comes to Lucha Libre.
Had so much fun with Gabriel at lucha libre! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was a lot of fun. Great start getting delicious tacos & mezcal to get the party going. The lucha itself was very fun to watch.
This was a great fun experience and Gabriel was the best tour guide we could have asked for!! He’s was so kind, helpful, and responsive on WhatsApp( we ran late to dinner bc of flight delayed). Also, my friend lost her passport and he helped us talk w security at the venue and even went back to the taqueria w us. He really went above and beyond and made our experience amazing! Tacos were delicious, Lucha Libre matches were so much fun. A must do in Mexico City!
This was a fun, well-organized and informative tour! We met fun people and enjoyed mezcal and tacos and all-around well worth it.
My wife and I had a great experience on this tour! Lots of fun, and the team involved were very helpful and attentive to our needs 😊 Shoutout to Gaby who was 10/10 with communication from start-to-finish 👏 Recommended to others!
A wonderful, action packed, food filled, and Mezcal fueled evening! Gaby’s love and knowledge of Lucha Libre really shown through. We would definitely recommend this to absolutely anyone and everyone. Especially, with Gaby as their guide.
