The museum was amazing; we would spend the whole day there! Having the guide there was the way to go. Leonor was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and really emerged us into the history, explaining everything in detail. We wouldn’t have gotten the same experience if we would have went on our own.

Cinthya was a great guide bringing knowledge and linking ideas and time periods helping to appreciate this wonderful museum
Cynthia was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain everything in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. She was personable and fun. She made our museum visit both enjoyable and insightful, sharing so much interesting information without ever making it feel overwhelming.I'm so glad I booked this tour because I know I wouldn't have had nearly the same experience exploring the museum on my own. I highly recommend it! Side note: If you're thinking about having lunch at the museum after the tour, I'd definitely recommend eating elsewhere.
I highly recommend this tour and our guide Cinthya. She was informative, describing a fascinating heritage and so engaging that the tour flew by. If I am ever back in Mexico City I will book another tour with Cinthya from Chill N Go as there was so much more to see.
Wonderful tour, the museum is spectacular. So much to take in and see. Our guide Roman was so well informed. Roman concentrated the tour on a few rooms in the museum. He was very friendly and open to questions. We were a group of seven so we had plenty of opportunity for questions. The restaurant on the location is also very good.
Vale was our guide and she was so kind and informative. She did a great job and always answered our questions.
If you have even the slightest interest in history, archaeology, or understanding Mexico's extraordinary cultural heritage, the National Museum of Anthropology is an absolute MUST when visiting Mexico City! This is easily one of the most fascinating museums in the world, and there is so much to see and absorb that you could easily spend an entire day here. What makes this museum particularly remarkable is the opportunity to explore the civilizations that shaped Mexico thousands of years before the arrival of the Spanish. From the Olmecs and Maya to the magnificent Aztec civilization, the artifacts, sculptures, and archaeological discoveries are simply breathtaking. It's one thing to read about these civilizations in a history book, but something entirely different to stand in front of the objects they actually created and used centuries ago. I would highly recommend taking a guided tour rather than attempting to navigate this enormous museum entirely on your own. There is an incredible amount of history here, and having someone explain the cultural significance and historical context of the exhibits can make the experience far more meaningful. For me, traveling is about much more than sightseeing. It's about understanding the people, history, and cultures that make a destination unique. This museum offers exactly that kind of experience. Whether you're a serious history enthusiast or simply curious about Mexico's remarkable past, don't miss it. Absolutely worth your time!
Roman was terrific and so knowledgeable - he ought to be a college professor!. We wound up with a private tour because we were the only ones. This is the only way to make sense of a museum this large; otherwise, it is just overwhelming. Romans insights were especially helpful the next day when we went to the pyramids.
Romi was a most interesting, and knowledgeable guide. One can tell he is passionate about telling people about his cultural history. We felt very fortunate to have had him as our guide.
Our tour guide Romi was fantastic. He was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about educating us on the culture and history behind the exhibits. He added a layer to the experience that you wouldn’t get by just attending the museum on your own. Highly recommended!
Cinthya Was the Absolute Best!!!!!! You would not find better more Knowledgeable guide than her. She's so sweet and charismatic! I would highly recommend her and i know we will be back to tour the other side of the museum,
Cinthya was Absolutely Amazing and so so Knowledgeable and Charismatic and kind. We loved every minute of this tour and will definitely be coming back and Booking Cinthya again. I promise you booking with her and you will not be disappointed!!! 5 stars
I booked this tour pretty last moment and I'm really glad that I did. I saw less of the museum than if I had speed run it alone but I got so much more out of my time spent there. Roman was very knowledgeable about the history and mythology of the pre-Hispanic civilizations. He was also incredibly nice and personable. He was happy to customize the tour and answer any of my questions. Highly recommend!
Daniel was great. He was knowledgeable and kind. We learned so much.
Leonor was a wonderful guide. She shared very clear instructions on where to meet and gave us a heads up about the annual earthquake drill that coincided with our appointment time. She was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout our time and I 100% recommend her to everyone.
Although our guide was clearly very knowledgeable, her English was not clear enough for us to fully appreciate the museum. Disappointing. The other couple in our group of 4 also had difficulty understanding her. I brought the issue up with the guide within the first 10 mins of the tour, but the situation did not improve.
Valerie was vey informative & friendly. Learned a lot about the specific ancient civilizations in this area.
Cinthya who was our guide was so fantastic!! She was very knowledgeable, very well prepared, spoke fluent English and gave us very detailed explanations! She was excellent!
Leonor was an amazing wealth of knowledge in history and art that brought the museum to life. Highly recommend having a tour guide like Leonor to properly experience this huge collection
We’ve done our share of guided tours and this was one of the best. Our guide Cinthya was fantastic and gave us a great framework to experience this amazing museum. I would actually recommend that you do this tour before other archaeological visits. Absolutely worth it.
My husband and I really enjoyed our tour of the Anthropology museum with Omar as our English tour guide. The museum itself is very large with most signs in Spanish so it was very helpful to have a guide that could showcase the most important artifacts and parts of Mexican anthropology. Omar was a delight to have as a tour guide, he is knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely enjoys talking about all the different artifacts. Although we were expecting a small group, we were lucky to be the only ones on the tour with him. Highly recommend this tour and Omar!
Our guide was Cinthya and she was great. She took us to many of the highlights and explained the carvings and beliefs in the context of how people lived and what shaped their beliefs. The museum is massive. You really cannot see it all in a day, but we saw quite a lot and learned a lot. Cinthya was friendly and knowledgeable and kept the pace slow for me (I have a bad knee). We stayed after the tour and visited some of the other galleries. The restaurant at the museum was also terrific and I highly recommend taking a break there!
I've never learned more at any museum.
Cinthya was a great guide. She was knowledgeable and able to convey her enthusiasm. A very pleasant and informative 2 1/2 hours.
Excellent "express" tour. This was an excellent first to the Museo Antropologico. Our guide, Maite, was super knowledgable, excellent English, and she shared a ton of information and history in just 2.5 hours. We felt like we got a great visit to the top highlights in the museum.
Roman was AMAZING. We couldn’t recommend this tour and our guide enough! 10 stars
Cinthya was GREAT. Knowledgeable, incredibly patient, and genuinely good with our kids — she kept them interested in a museum that could easily overwhelm them. This place is enormous and you'll miss most of it on your own. Ask for Cinthya when you book!
Omar was so knowledgeable and the details helped our kids really enjoy and understand the history of Mexico.
Cinthya was such a great tour guide, she was very informative and open to any questions we had. I would recommend going with Cinthya again not only because of her knowledge but how digestible she made the information for us.
Cinthya was very knowledgeable and easy to find at the start of the tour. She also kept things moving so we could see as much as was reasonable in 2 hours. I would book her again!
Cinthya Luque provided a very comprehensive tour, incorporating histories, cultural and spiritual backgrounds of the important artifacts within the museum. Her explanations of content each of the carvings and their meaning to the people of the time was very interesting. She is very knowledgeable of the periods of mesoamerica and the Aztec and Mayan history and the difference of those cultures. We were a small group that made our way around easily and were able to ask our questions, which she easily answered. I highly recommend a tour with Cinthya to get the most out of your visit to this important museum.
The tour was very interesting and informative! Cinthya was an excellent tour guide! Definitely worth doing again.
It's a big museum so having a guide is definitely helpful if not necessary. Our guide Cinthya was very knowledgable and a good story teller. She made sure we understood the history throughout the entire tour and gave us recommendations for what to do after. Overall, great tour and amazing guide!
Went to this museum with a friend and booked tickets via Viator. The museum was so well designed and rich in artifacts and history. Valerie, our guide was fantastic, funny, and informative. I’d book with Chill N Go again.
Cinthya was a fantastic tour guide, very informative, and it was easy to ask questions. Would definitely recommend to any first timers!
Leonor was incredible! She was so knowledgeable and provided such a rich history to allow us to enjoy the museum to its fullest. She answered any and all questions as well! Overall, it was an amazing tour!
What an amazing museum. There is so much rich history that we would say it is essential to have a guide. We had Cinthya who was incredible. We can’t thank Cinthya enough. Her insights and her knowledge of the history transformed the experience for us.
Cinthya was an amazing tour guide! I booked very last minute, 1-2 hours before tour. She met me on time and gave me an incredible overview of many of the rooms and artifacts in the museum, as well as laying them out in a timeline and context that was easy to follow and engaging. She also brought her own materials to supplement the history, and made suggestions for what to see after the tour was over. Cinthya is knowledgeable, professional, funny, and kind - I would recommend her tour to any friends visiting CDMX! If you are unsure of whether a guide is worth it for the National Anthropology museum, I strongly recommend it, especially if you are not fluent in Spanish; the amount of material there is overwhelming and I took away so much more information because of Cynthia's expertise.
I had Omar as a tour guide. Words cannot express how amazing this experience was from an educational standpoint!.From the time of meeting to the end, this tour was an amazing wealth of knowledge and information about the culture. Omar did an excellent job of providing insight in detail about the various artifacts within the museum. This was truly an amazing experience, especially if you are someone that enjoys understanding the history and culture! This tour was extremely informative and will definitely recommend Omar and the services to anyone who is interested in understanding more about the Museum of Anthropology!! 11 out of 10!
One word. Daniel! He was our guide. He was amazing. We wanted to go to the Museo Nacional de Antropologíay but tickets were not available. However tickets for a guided tour were available at almost double the price. We booked it and were so happy we did. As non Spanish speakers we would have been lost at the museum. Daniel was our guide and it was such a great tour experience. It could have been shortened a little but the 2.5 hours were special with our guide. I am not exactly what platform got us there but we would definitely use Chi n’ Go again.
Karina is very professional and patient, we learned many knowledge of Mexico and Central American, Karina also correct the mistakes of "stone of the sun" as we learned. we will be back in the future. Thanks for Karina and Chill N’ Go Tours professional service. Karina导游非常专业和耐心,我们学了很多关于墨西哥和中美洲的知识,还纠正了关于太阳石的错误。
My wife and I took a 2.5 hour tour of the anthropology museum with Daniel. I had high expectations, and they were surpassed. To say the museum is a mammoth collection is an understatement, it would take weeks to visit in its entirety. Daniel brought the ancient relics to life with an exciting and passionate narrative of the history and mythology of the history. Would recommend to all my friends.
Wow what an amazing tour! We had Daniel and he was the best guide I’ve ever had and I travel and get private tours often. His knowledge and passion was infectious! Thanks, Daniel for making our tour so great!
I really enjoyed my tour with Cinthya! I lucked out, being that I went on an off-day, and my tour ended up being private. Cinthya picked up on all my interests, and had answers for all my questions, and made me fully totally prepared for my Teotihuacán visit the next day. The Anthropology museum is full of artwork with complex symbolism, touring with Cinthya allowed me to fully understand what I was viewing, but also motivated me to ask questions of my own!
Excellent tour led by Valerie. Perfectly paced & we learned so much. If you’re planning a visit to the museum & castle I highly recommend!
My wife and I did the guided tour of the museum of anthropology with Omar and it was an amazing experience. He's incredibly knowledgeable but also a genuinely great person. We had a great time! Muchas gracias, Omar.
Vale was incredibly knowledgeable and the tour was fantastic. This museum is amazing. Thank you Vale for an awesome learning experience.
Daniel was expressive knowledgeable and a wonderful guide. I would highly recommend any tour with him. And his English is great.
Daniel was honestly one of the best museum guides I’ve ever had ever. This was so much more than just walking through artifacts and history — he explained the deeper meaning behind everything: symbolism, religion, power, cosmology, and how these civilizations evolved over time. He made the museum come alive and completely changed the way I see Mexican history and culture. You can really feel how passionate and knowledgeable he is, and the entire experience was incredibly engaging and memorable. Must book with him if you want a deeper, more meaningful experience with your Mexico City trip, because it definitely transformed my trip. I think I learned so much more about Mesoamerica civilization than a semester of history class at an IVY league university.
I had a wonderful experience with Daniel, Cultural Ambassador. Someone at my hotel suggested I get a guide since he told me he wandered aimlessly not knowing about the artifacts. I’m so glad I did. Even better was that I had already been to - Xochimilco and - Teotihuacon and my history lesson today by Daniel was superb.
