We had a great day! Ricardo was a terrific guide. Our tour was in English. We spent 2 hours at the castle which was amazing. I had limited knowledge of the history and Ricardo explained a lot with dates/years and people. Mexican history from the Spanish conquest is quite something and I had no idea. We had a short break to grab a bite then off to the Anthropology Museum where we spent about 2.5 hours. We didn’t see all of it on this tour - it’s way too big, but after the tour we had time to go back and see other parts. We met at 9am and finished at just after 2pm. Highly recommend this tour and we really enjoyed Ricardo’s guidance.

The guide was knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about the history and insights into the area. The pace was good for us to follow. Highly recommend thus tour.
Rick is very knowledgeable and we had a good time. It is a lot of walking, and definitely lasts the full allotted time. Good overview of the history of Mexico… recommend.
Ricardo was a superb guide, extremely knowledgeable he made the experience so much more enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend
Our tour guide was constantly on her phone. Either text messaging or calling someone. Our tour finished in 3.5 hours. We used AI to go thru the area she didn’t show us.
We had an incredible tour with Ricardo, who was absolutely amazing and exceptionally knowledgeable! Although my husband and I both speak Spanish, I chose to take the tour in English to make sure I could fully understand and appreciate everything being shared, and I’m so glad I did. Learning more about our culture and history was an unexpectedly emotional experience, and I truly don’t think it would have been the same without Ricardo. I was also struggling with altitude sickness and some stomach issues that day, but Ricardo kept the tour at a comfortable, manageable pace without sacrificing any of the experience. His knowledge, patience, and passion for the history made this tour one of the highlights of our trip. I couldn’t recommend him more!
Rick was far and away the best tour guide with the best constructed tour we had in Mexico City and really in past travels as well. And he constructed the tour perfectly. We started at the castle and learned the history of Mexico from the time of Cortez really until the recent presidents moved from the park to the palace on the zocalo. We didn’t see everything in the castle but everything we saw helped us learn about Mexico and its complex history. Then we walked across the park, stopped for a quick snack and went to the anthropological museum where we learned about the pre colonial history of the various civilizations. Rick clearly knows his stuff — he studied history in university — and could answer questions on almost every topic in both museums. He wasn’t like other tour guides we’ve had where we felt like they were making things up — he clearly knew what he was talking about on every subject. I cannot imagine a better way to learn the broad overview of Mexico’s pre colonial, colonial, and modern history to place everything else you’ll experience in this amazing city in proper context. I just wish I had known about him and his tours so we could have booked other tours with him instead of some of the lesser tour guides we experienced on our trip. All the stars. No notes.
Alicia was our tour guide for this activity. She was amazing! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Be prepared to walk a lot and take many pictures. 100% recommend this tour.
Our guide, Ricardo, made the entire day unforgettable. He brought the history of both sites to life with amazing facts and great pacing. You cover a lot of ground, but having Ricardo guide us through the pre-Hispanic exhibits and castle grounds made it 10x better than going alone. Highly recommend!
Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job leading the tour. It was a great experience
Our tour guide Rick was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and so good at sharing it. We learned a lot about the sites we saw (the Chapultepec, Anthropology Museum, and Castle), the history of Mexico, the Aztecs (some about the Mayan culture), and also a bit about life here as a young adult in Mexico City. It was a great experience! My sister and I really appreciated our tour and highly recommend it.
This tour was excellent. Ricardo was exceptionally well prepared and demonstrated an impressive knowledge of Mexican history. His explanations were clear, engaging, and informative throughout the tour. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned and well organized. Starting with a visit to Chapultepec Castle helped us avoid the crowds and long lines later at the National Museum of Anthropology, making the experience much more enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City.
I had a wonderful trip. My tour guide Ricardo was impressively knowledgeable and helpful. 10/10 recommend.
This was such an incredible tour! Ricardo was such a knowledgeable guide, and gave us a great tour with all the best highlights of Mexico City. I really loved the thorough history lesson that Ricardo gave. He told us all about Mexico City from its very beginning, before the Aztecs built the Tenochtitlan empire, through the revolutions and wars, to the beautiful and historic place it is today. The castle was gorgeous, turned into a museum. Ricardo showed us the best artifacts and highlights. Then we took a lovely walk through the huge forest park, with some information about its history and beauty. Of course there were snacks and a couple nice breaks along the way; and we ended at the Anthropology museum. Once again, Ricardo guided us through a thorough history of the native peoples who once lived in the area, and how their influence and culture spread throughout Central America. Overall, really really excellent tour. Ricardo, if you’re reading this, you need to ask for tips at the end of your tour! You definitely went above and beyond. Worth every penny and more! Thank you a thousand times! Will be back!
I had an amazing time during this excursion yesterday. In addition to an excellent group of people on the tour, our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our questions. I highly recommend!!! FYI…Don’t slip out on the restaurant in the museum, the food was a 20/10
Excellent! Must do activity in Mexico City. We would Highly recommend this. Was on time and Ricardo was very informative.
Wow I am completely speechless, Ricardo (ricky) was incredible my god all the knowledge!! His patience. I am so grateful for this experience.
Our guide was super knowledgeable about the history of Chapultepec! He gave us great insights and was able to answer all of our questions. Highly recommend!
Ricardo does a great job at being your guide. Our tour started on time. Lucky for us, the day we went we had a very small group. It was easy to ask questions and we were able to get through the areas pretty easy. We went on a Sunday, unknowingly, all museums are free to Mexican citizens, which means they can be a little crowded. We were still able to maneuver through the castle and museum with any issue. Ricardo was good a giving us the needed information while keeping us moving through each place. Plan to stand/walk the entire time. We covered a large area. The walk through the forest was a really nice way to break up the castle and the museum.
An excellent tour. Highly recommend. Ricardo was our tour guide and he was excellent. He really knew his stuff and it was clear he is passionate about all that he shared.
Richardo was knowledgeable and caring, we learned so much from this 5-hr walking tour. Highly recommend it, and wish Richardo all the best with his ambition.
Great to see the castle and anthropology muesum. I would not have been able to undestand the signifigance or progrss of pre and post columbian Mexico without the guides knodlege about art and stories/mesages it conveys. 100% worth it.
Our tour guide Brenda was amazing. She knew so much and seemed so well-informed. We had a great time and we learned a lot!
The tour with Ric was FABULOUS! Ric was so knowledgeable, entertained all of our questions, and gave us the perfect foundation of Mexican history (ancient and modern). They went above and beyond throughout the tour—they didn’t just know the historical facts, but also where to grab a snack, where the bathrooms were, and gave us ample opportunities for breaks throughout the trip. The day flew by and they did a great job getting us excited about the city and Mexican history. It was especially helpful to have them guide us through the Anthropology museum—we got so much more out of it than we would have on our own. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anybody!
Ricardo curates a wonderful and informative tour of two major tourist destinations that could be totally overwhelming without such an experienced guide. If you want to do Cahpultapec Castle and the National Museum of Anthropology in one day, do it with Ricardo - he is deeply knowledgeable, friendly, fluent in English, and he has the timing down perfectly.
Richard, our tour guide, was fantastic throughout. It was easy to book, easy to communicate and easy to meet up. The tour itself (the Castle and Museum of Anthropology) was interesting and fun. Richard is very knowledgeable and prepared). I recommend this tour unreservedly,
Ricardo was an outstanding tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. He shared interesting facts and local history in a way that kept everyone interested, and he was happy to answer questions along the way. His professionalism, friendly attitude, and passion for what he does really stood out. I highly recommend Ricardo to anyone looking for an informative and memorable tour!
Brenda out tour guide is excellent!! If you book this tour I hope you are lucky enough to get her…her enthusiasm for Mexican history comes through in her work!!! Trust me you will enjoy!!!
Ricardo was a knowledgeable tour guide who took interest in the things we had to say! He gave us great insight on the history of Mexico and the wars that came in the 19th century. He was a guide who looked out for us, and recommended things to see at the end of the tour! I’ll tour with him again any day!
It was a great experience! I highly recommend this tour! Rick was extremely knowledgeable and very personable.
excellent experience Brenda very well experienced professional and informative, the castle and the forest are amazing the museum phenomenal
Ricardo was amazing, as a historian he knew all the important stuff and made the experience unforgettable!
Our tour guide, Brenda, did an excellent job of explaining to us the history and the historical significance of the Castle of Chapultepec. Not only was she knowledgeable, but she able to share that knowledge in a way that was easy for all to understand. Afterwards, we took lunch before crossing the street to the Museum of Anthropology. Again Brenda’s knowledge of Pre-Hispanic history made the visit that much more enjoyable. If you are considering visiting either location, a guide is a must. Otherwise, you’re just going for a walk.
Very kind and patient travel guide who accommodated my 9 year old son. Her knowledge was very deep on Mexican history and precolumbian Mexican civilization.
Ricardo was very knowledgeable and patient in answering my questions. Highly recommend!! My favorite was the anthropology museum. I realized that just going there myself I wouldn't have had the same learning experience. He brought a lot of context and life to the paintings and statues at the museum.
Had sister and friend visiting CDMX for the first time. I booked a guided tour so they could learn in a short amount of time. I had been to both the Castillo and Anthropology museum several times and I learned so much from our guide, Ricardo.
This tour was amazing. Ricardo is super knowledgeable and engaging. We were running late due to traffic and he was very accommodating and understanding. Would definitely recommend booking this tour.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our guide Ricardo was fantastic… so knowledgeable, personable, and able to answer any questions thrown his way. We did everything on the itinerary, and the journey was enhanced because of Ric’s commentary and explanations. I’m so glad we did this tour instead of visiting the castle and museum on our own. Thank you!!
Learned a lot. Tour guide knew a lot of information. Loved the castle. But loved all the different groups that were displayed in the tour.
Ricardo was a brilliant tour guide, not to mention a trained historian. He brought Chapultepec castle and the Anthropology museum to life for our small group. He also took an interest in our interests, invited questions and answered them all, and was always patient and kind. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!
A well planned out experience. Everything was always punctual, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable.
Riccardo is the best guide you can have. My partner isn’t even interested in history but she also has great time!
Ricardo was very kind and knowledgeable. Muesum is a must.
Amazing, informative tour. Ricardo was funny, personable, and insanely knowledgeable about the places and cultures we explored in the museums - had the answer to every question our group had! Great way to pack in two CDMX highlights, though you'll definitely want to budget time to visit the exhibits in the Anthro museum we just couldn't possibly cover. Considering this tour includes tickets to both attractions (otherwise ~$12 USD per place, $24 total per person), it was an excellent value choice. My friend and I had a lot of fun!
Our guide Ricardo Moreno was excellent. His broad knowledge and ability to effectively take us through the history of Mexico City was absolutely amazing. Truly an enjoyable experience and I highly recommend.
Great experience! We learned so much about the history of Mexico. We loved how knowledgeable Ricardo was and how effortlessly the tour flowed.
This tour is really thorough and I’d recommend it if you like history. If you don’t and or have kids with you this is probably not the tour for you. It is quite a bit of walking, as is everything in CDMX, so prepare for that. The tour guide was really knowledgeable. He made sure we had bathroom breaks and a break for a quick lunch in the middle.
Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient with the group. He knew so much about the Castillo and museum of anthropology, truly captured the essence of the history and culture of the two locations. We were impressed with the structure of the tour, and would definitely book with Ricardo in the future.
We had a great time at this tour. The tour guide, Ricardo, was amazing and explained everything very well. We spent about 2 hours at chapultapec Castle and another 2 hours at the anthropology museum, with about an hour in between to walk between the locations and get some food. We wish we had more time in the museum, as it is huge and we could only cover a portion of it. But whatever we did visit was very interesting.
Rick was very knowledgeable and passionate about Mexico’s ancient history. It was great to learn from such a thoughtful and thorough tour guide.
