The tour was incredible. My tour guide Roberto was extremely knowledgeable and hospitable. The castle had amazing scenery. I could not have asked for a better experience.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 — Epic Journey Tours made our proposal absolutely perfect! I can't say enough good things about Epic Journey Tours. From the very first message, they were responsive, warm, and genuinely invested in helping me plan a wedding proposal at Chapultepec Castle. I'd reached out to several other companies beforehand — most never responded, and one actually went silent the moment I mentioned it would just be two of us. Epic Journey Tours was the total opposite: prompt, thorough, and clearly experienced with exactly this kind of moment. They answered every question, walked me through their policies and what to expect, and even shared photos of different locations to help me choose the perfect spot. They offered add-ons like a secret photographer, flowers, and champagne, but made it clear there was zero pressure — if I skipped the extras, they'd still make sure the moment was captured and memorable. Our guide, Victor, was outstanding — patient, knowledgeable, and so easy to be around. He guided us through the whole experience seamlessly and even took photos for us himself. I'd recommend him to anyone. And the twist we didn't see coming: our driver quietly doubled as our secret photographer! After dropping us off, he parked, changed into a jacket and hat, and secretly followed and filmed the entire proposal without either of us noticing. We only realized after the fact — genius. Everything ran on time, we felt safe and taken care of the whole way through, and the team turned our proposal into a memory we'll cherish forever. Epic Journey Tours truly lives up to its name. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
Wanna know about Mexican history? This gives you a good picture and understanding of just that! Very good for the whole family.
We had a wonderful visit to the Chapultepec castle with Victor, our guide. He was on time to pick us up with his driver. There is an inclined path to walk to the entrance from the road .My wife used a wheelchair rented with the tour company and Vittor was very patient, helpful and attentive- took us in the elevator inside the castle and made this trip really enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and well informed about the history of Mexico.
Unfortunately our pickup was a half hour late, and then it took another 30 minutes to be picked up at the end of the tour. Not sure if this was all due to CDMX traffic or just poor planning but, in retrospect, it would have been faster and easier to catch an Uber. Roberto, our guide, was lovely and he seemed to be very knowledgeable, but his English was weak so we did not get as much out of the tour as we had hoped. That said, the castle was fabulous, especially the residence, and Roberto tried very hard to answer our questions and attend to our needs.
We enjoyed our private tour. Our guide, Ernesto added valuable historical context and subtext, and he highlighted the more significant artifacts and figures. I highly recommend a private tour to get more bang for buck and cultural impact. Rather than just wonder thru the exhibits aimlessly. Particularly if you do not speak Spanish fluently. Museums in Mexico have very little English descriptions on the exhibits (which is a “me” problem for not speaking better Spanish). But it is very exhausting to try and read/interpret descriptions all day. It just slows you down.
we were very glad we did this tour. Our guide was very informative. You can certainly visit the castle by yourself, but having a guide, made it such a better experience. Many parts of the castle and the museum don’t have much signage, or only signs in Spanish. And we had booked transportation to and from the castle, so the whole thing was very pleasant, seamless and easy, getting picked up at our accommodations and brought back at the end.
Private tour is really worth it. The Epic Journey, the local company did a great job. We were picked up from the hotel on time. The guide was nice, pleasant and knowledgeable. We did have a good time.
Roberto was a knowledgable guide and adapted the tour to meet our time constraints. He also did a great job of figuring out ways to make the visit to Chapultepec more accesible for my in-laws who have some physical restrictions. Manuel our driver stayed with our luggage and then expertly navigated traffic to get us to the airport on time. This was the perfect way for our group to access this amazing historical venue.
Very smooth and well paced visit to the castle of Chapultepec. Knowledgeable guide and very informative visit. Thank you!
Fabulous trip with Alberto! He was so knowledgeable and it was a pleasure exploring the Castle with him. Was worth it to have a private guide take us rather than going on our own and not hearing the history and the past history of Mexico. FYI…Alberto is fluent in Chinese for foreign travelers to Mexico…request him!, Definitely would recommend the tour! Make sure transportation and entrance fees included:)
Roberto was an excellent historian and a really great tour guide! We had a great time and he even showed where to get the best ice cream
There was a little elevated walk up to the castle and they do not allow food or water - there is no water anywhere around the castle either which made it a little uncomfortable in the heat - the castle itself is very nice and learned so much about the history of Mexico City from our tour guide Rene. He was great.
Very helpful guide Roberto. Flexible and knowledgeable . Eager to please and personable. Offered good information . Spent extra time
Castillo de Chapultepec a must visit for anyone visiting Mexico City to understand the traditions, culture and history of Mexico and it's emergency into a country of significance in the World. We also had an amazing guide in Roberto who had great knowledge about Mexico's history.

Great tour with a knowledgeable guide! Especially good for non-spanish speakers since many panels are only in spanish.
Roberto Peniche and Epic Journey Tours really made our visit pleasant and enjoyable. This is our first visit to Mexico City and not sure what to expect. But Roberto Peniche and the tour company have provided both knowledgeable and experienced service. We highly recommend.
An amazing castle full of history and rich architecture . Senior friendly. Has an elevator for handyman’s elderly 😆
Roberto was a great host and guide. We had the best afternoon. Highly knowledgeable and and fun, we learned a lot and enjoyed our time doing it.
We enjoyed our tour! Hotel pick up and drop off was very convenient and our guide was very attentive. Our only comment was we would have enjoyed to hear more history about Mexico in general worked into the tour conversation but over all the tour was nice and focused in the park and castle at Chapultapec
The History of CDMX and the castles collection that illustrates many of the turn of events. Pleasant walk through the park. Very relaxed tour, no crowds no rushing.
Exceptional guide with great knowledge about both the Castle and the history of Mexico. The hotel pick up and drop off worked great and both drivers pointed out landmarks and answered questions. Very memorable experience.
This tour of Chapulteec Castle and some of the surrounding park was a perfect overview of the history of the building and of the place. It was really nice being picked up at an agreed spot near my address, which was not a hotel and not on a street that allows cars. Before the tour, I used the phone number provided to communicate easily with Epic Tours via WhatsApp. The guide was very friendly, courteous and careful to tailor the experience to my personal interests, which I greatly appreciated. So much nicer than a large tour group. I recommend it.
Excellent tour, the castle is a very beautiful place and full of history. It is admirable how they have managed to preserve items from the past. The guide was very well prepared and had a lot of historical knowledge of the place.
My family and I had an unforgettable experience at Chapultepec Castle with excellent tour guides. Diego C. and his wife were very knowledgeable and made the tour even more enjoyable. They also took wonderful pictures of us! Thank you!
Excelente, el guía bastante informativo y agradable. Nos explicó la historia, el arte y fue un tour donde aprendimos mucho.
Very interesting and enjoyable tour We went at our own pace and in a very pleasant atmosphere Getting to know the castle I found carriages and chambers very valuable There is also a small museum of Mexican history The view from the castle is spectacular
Los chicos muy amables, en todo momento atento para resolver dudas o si quería tomar una foto, traían agua y snaks para nosotros
