We had a great experience at Zocalo Central Hotel in CDMX. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The 24/7 cafe is a great service that I've never seen in other hotels. The breakfast was amazing! The concierge staff was extremely helpful and friendly, specially Daniel, Antonio and Josue, they all helped carry our luggage to the taxis and make sure we were always taken cared of.
The only thing to consider is that it is right in the middle of the Zocalo, therefore traffic in and out of the area can be impacted but we walked to the Metro or Bellas Artes to grab Ubers.
I had such an amazing stay! The location was great! The view to the Zocalo was nice and there was a lot of things to do walking distance. The staff was so nice and helpful. It was a little chaotic with the World Cup going on but they helped us navigate around and gave us tips to travel around safely. We got a really nice trip through them as well to see Teotihuacan and they had a morning excursion. The breakfast was so delicious and the view was incredible. My favorite thing for sure was the 24 hour Cafe! I think I found my new favorite spot to stay at while visiting CDMX. Highly recommended.
Rooms were a bit smaller than we are used to but the service and location made that not really matter. Every employee was attentive and accommodating but Adrian went above and beyond when cleaning our room. Breakfast was delicious not your typical hotel breakfast, we had several activities so only had the opportunity to eat with them twice. We have already recommended the hotel to two people planning their Mexico City trip within the next month. Would definitely come back.
This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in the world! I chose this hotel because of its unmatched location right by the cathedral and breakfast terrace, but I was unprepared for the outstanding hospitality and the incredible perks like free cafe that includes even hot food and beer. The room has everything too including water filter, but the breakfast roster was as stunning as the cathedral view. However the real gem is truly the staff especially Fernanda, Ivan, and Raul who are friendly yet professional in ensuring that I had a comfortable stay. I would stay here again when I return and will recommend you and my friends to choose this hotel
The stay at this hotel was a completely mixed experience. Some of the things were just top notch : 1. Location - Very safe neighbourhood with significant police presence and a lot of major attractions, restaurants, and shops nearby, 2. Amenities - The cafeteria located on the ground floor provided food and beverages for free except alcohol, so we were able to save a lot of money on tea, coffee, water, snacks, etc. There is also a nice place to sit and relax next to the cafeteria. 3. Room Service - Room service was awesome. Sometimes, the cleaning crew would come and make up our room two to three times a day and the staff were extremely nice and humble. 4. Breakfast - We had breakfast included in our booking and the breakfast served was pretty good with several options available. However, sometimes, the staff took a long time to serve the food; for example, once they took 45 min to serve a couple of boiled eggs. 5. Others - The hotel was quiet, had very nice interiors, and amazing views from the breakfast place.
However, there were a couple of major drawbacks: 1. Wifi - The wifi was simply horrible and would turn off every now and then, and the speed was one of the slowest I have ever experienced. The issue was not fixed despite us making several complaints. 2. Bed - The mattress provided was of very poor quality. My wife and I have back problems and we got back aches every single morning after sleeping on the mattress.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would like to thank the hotel staff for their excellent hospitality.
