Amazing staff! Exquisite location and amenities! When we checked in the manager on duty gave us the top floor with an amazing view of the city. The room itself was top notch and nothing less expected and the staff from the entrance outside, lobby, concierge, front desk, the hotel staff, the staff at breakfast and everything from scratch was absolutely amazing! Thank you to the staff for an exceptional experience and we hope to visit again.

My first stay here was in July 2026. The hotel is large and rooms were comfortable. My only complaint was the elevator noise as I had a room next to the elevator. The breakfast at cafe Urbano had many options and was filling. I'm in my second stay in October 2026. This stay was definitely not as good compared to the first one. My reservation was for a king room with Chapultepec view. They had given me a double room. Had to drag all of my stuff back down to get a different room. They then gave me a king room with Polanco view. We really didn't want to bother again so we settled with it. The housekeeping has also not as good as it was last time. They stacked the dirty cups but didn't leave any clean cups (see photo). I was looking forward to my second stay but it's has been disappointing. The bed is very comfortable. It took a long time for the water to get warm for the showers. A shout out to Diego in the lobby. He was very helpful when we had issues with Wi-Fi. Numerous dining options here. One of the restaurant on site is Au Pied de Cochon is open 24/7, which is super awesome!
One thing that really stands out about the Presidente InterContinental in Polanco is how many different dining options are all under one roof. You’ve got Chapulín for Mexican cuisine, Alfredo Di Roma for Italian food and pasta, The Palm for American-style steaks and seafood, plus Au Pied de Cochon for French food. That last one is especially useful because the hotel's own restaurant information says it operates 24 hours a day. Café Urbano also offers international dining and breakfast options. If you're staying in this part of Mexico City, having so much variety right at the hotel is a huge convenience, especially when people in your group are looking for different types of food. Just keep in mind that the restaurants have their own operating hours, so check the individual venue before heading down.
A fabulous 5-star hotel offering top-tier accommodations and amenities, along with a wide variety of restaurants—including French (available 24 hours), Spanish, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, and international cuisine🍲🥘—which serve guests from 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The property also features a lobby bar, as well as a separate venue for breakfast—"Café Urbano"—both of which are open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The hotel pays meticulous attention to the smallest details, including accessibility features ♿️🚻 such as ramps, automatic doors, Braille signage, multiple elevators, and accessible restrooms—all of which far exceeded my initial expectations. Recommended ✅️
Beautiful hotel, but not quite worth the price for me The InterContinental Presidente is a huge, beautiful hotel with an impressive lobby, multiple restaurants and bars, and staff everywhere to assist guests. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was strong throughout my stay. I also appreciated having access to the spacious business centre, which was convenient for printing a few documents. As an IHG member, I was given a complimentary drink voucher, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, check-in was a bit of a frustrating start. Our accommodation had been arranged and was supposed to be prepaid through a conference, but due to a miscommunication, everyone was still required to put down a deposit. At approximately $850 USD for the stay, that is a substantial amount to have unexpectedly held on a credit card, and it was understandably uncomfortable for some people in our group. Especially as it can take a few days to go back on the card. Another disappointment was that the room didn’t match my reservation. I had booked a king bed with a garden view, but was given a room with two double beds, and I’m fairly sure the room wasn’t facing the garden as advertised. Since the reservation was arranged through a business for a conference, I didn’t pursue the issue, but I would have been disappointed if I had personally paid for the room and not received the room type and view I had booked. The rooms themselves are nice, but they feel fairly standard for a large international hotel chain. There’s nothing particularly wrong with them, but I personally prefer boutique hotels with more character and a distinctive sense of place. The lobby and common areas are definitely the highlights of the property. Breakfast was decent, although the options for vegan guests were fairly limited. I appreciated that soy and almond milk were available upon request, along with fresh fruit, juices, and a few basic options like cereal and bread. However, I would have liked to see more substantial plant-based breakfast dishes. There was also a vegetable dish, but roasted vegetables aren’t really what I’m looking for at breakfast. For a hotel of this calibre, I would have expected a little more variety for guests with dietary preferences. I also found it slightly off-putting to be prompted to add a tip for a buffet breakfast when the service was fairly minimal, although I understand this may be customary. Location-wise, this may be ideal for conference attendees and travellers who want the convenience of a full-service luxury hotel. As a vegan traveller who enjoys exploring independent cafés and restaurants, I personally prefer staying in neighbourhoods like Roma, where there are more options that suit my interests. Overall, this is a good hotel with beautiful common areas, clean rooms, convenient amenities, and plenty of staff available to help. However, based on my experience so far, it hasn’t been particularly memorable beyond its impressive lobby and scale. At this price point, I would personally expect a more seamless arrival, greater attention to reservation details, and a more distinctive overall experience. I’ve stayed at other five-star hotels that have genuinely blown me away, and this hasn’t quite reached that level for me. It’s a perfectly good option for a conference or business trip, but personally, I wouldn’t choose to pay this much to stay here based on my experience so far. I’ll update my review after the remainder of my stay, but for now, I’d rate it three out of five stars.
