Dissapointed. We stayed at this hotel on December 31st going out the next day. We have been staying at this hotel for about 4 years until now. Last night, I payed for 3 rooms and my bank sent me a confirmation of payment but the manager of the hotel told me that they didn't receive the money and I suggested him to check it with his bank and me to do the same. Due to the coming Holiday the lines of the bank were off and the review of my bank statement was going to take longer. Later, he came to talk to me saying in a bad manner that I needed to pay with a different card or at that hour around 8pm, to go by myself to a cashier to withdraw money to pay him because it was not his fault and he didn't care, he was only expecting me to pay eventhough I sent him the confirmation of payment from my bank and I explained to him it was not my fault, I told him that I payed and I received my confirmation. In Mexico City and specially at that hour and day and with so many people partying on the streets- going out for money is not very safe. After all, he disrespectfully said he didn't care and he was waiting for payment. I think the manager Jorge Ortiz had the worst behaviour I have ever had and he doesn't know how to treat the visitors and the ladies. At the end, we used a different card and paid for the pending amount that it was only for 2,900 mexican pesos. He made me feel terrible as a lady! I suggest if you are staying at that hotel, take different cards because it may happen to you and you will have a bad taste with the unpolite manager ladies!!
I stayed at Hotel Casa González for 4 nights while I vacationed in CDXM. The hotel is super cute with beautiful landscaping and cozy rooms. I also enjoyed being able to have breakfast right at the hotel, with delicious fresh fruit and juice. The staff at the front desk and at the restaurant were helpful and kind.
Just finished a lovely stay at Casa Gonzalez! Gorgeous, quiet property, feels like a true oasis in the hustle and bustle of cdmx. Extraordinarily clean, super friendly and attentive staff, and a charming on-site restaurant. Everything went super smoothly for us here, and they even let us drop our bags off when we arrived far too early for check in and let us freshen up. Can’t recommend it enough. This is the perfect place if you want a good nights sleep and an atmospheric stay. Just note there isn’t A/C, but the rooms never got too hot or stuffy. If we visit Mexico City again we would definitely stay here!
Highly Recommended! You enter a beautiful walled compound from the street through a gate and inside are a series of buildings connected by patios with flowers everywhere. The original mansion is where breakfast is served (definitely choose breakfast) and other buildings have most of the rooms. There are lots of seating on the patios, including tables, as well as a covered open air room with comfortable furniture. The staff is lovely. Rooms are good, the bed had a thick duvet there were plenty of outlets and water bottles are provided; baths have shampoo and liquid soap, bring anything else you need. There is seating on the patios as well as in an open air room with comfortable furniture. The staff is lovely!
