The hotel needs a big renovation, it’s still a cool butique hotel but is no longer the topp hotel it used to be. But I like it and will go back. Still it has its vibe that is nice and the staff was very nice and the location is still the best.

I spent a weekend at the hotel and was very happy with my choice. The location is excellent—The staff was very friendly and accomodating I was within biking distance of many museums, the castle, and several parks. The hotel also provides bikes for guests, which makes getting around even easier. On the first Sunday of every month, the street in front of the hotel is closed to cars, creating a pleasant pedestrian and bike‑friendly zone. The breakfast options are delicious, with fresh fruit, juices, gourmet coffee, and a variety of egg dishes. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though the quality of the beds could be improved. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
Our stay was not pleasant and we were offended by their homophobia by having 2 of their staff ask us multiple times if we wanted separate rooms. We’re a gay couple. The room was small and very noisy so we got very little sleep. The hotel reminded me more of a hostel. This is at best a 2 star hotel.
I don’t understand how this hotel could be a four-star hotel when it feels like a stay at a hostel. Rooms are not well soundproofed. You can hear people in the halls and everything outside the building. The staff are homophobic, asking us TWICE if we were under one reservation. Once when we were dropping our bags off before check-in and again when arriving back to get into the room. Definitely do not suggest this hotel. The bed are so hard and pillows are then like a three magazines stacked.
Location-wise, it’s an excellent option, well-situated on the busiest street in Polanco. However, the hotel is outdated and lacks service. It urgently needs a renovation if they want to maintain those high prices. Amenities-wise, it has a pool, a rooftop deck, a small gym, a barber shop, and a basic restaurant that primarily serves a simple breakfast. While it’s an option for its location, you can get much better value for your money nearby.
