This is a beautiful hotel located in a wonderful area of the city. Almost everything is walkable and there are many good restaurants nearby. That said, the hotel is older so expect some quirks from the plumbing and elevators. I also do not recommend eating at the hotel, as the surrounding restaurants and street food offer a better experience.

We had a fantastic 4 nights here. The location is excellent, safe and a fun area with a lot going on! The breakfast is great, lots to choose from and the staff super friendly. There’s a gym with some decent weights and plenty of machines. There’s a steam room each day from 9 to 11 am and a sauna on request up until 5pm. All included in the room rate.
It's a beautiful historic hotel with a lot of character. It has many great amenities such as AC, Spa, Gym... It's in a great location if you are looking to stay close to the nightlife and close to public transportation. There's a cute restaurant, breakfast cafe and a bar. One night, we ordered room service and they were very quick. The only thing I didn't like was that I found the beds to be very uncomfortable. The mattress is very firm and the bed pillows are not very comfortable. I know that is a personal preference, but it made for some lack of sleep. Overall, it's a great hotel.
Historic charm and excellent service! The Hotel Geneve is a stunning building with so much character. We stayed for 2 nights in February- we arrived early for check-in during a very busy time, but the staff was incredibly fast and helpful. They even showed us a larger, refurbished room in person before we committed to the upgrade, and it was worth it! The room was massive—easily three times the size of the huge, comfortable king bed—with charming vintage furniture accents and windows that actually open. It’s a great base for getting around; we used Uber for all our sightseeing and it was very convenient. Don't miss: The Telephone Bar: Perfect for a nightly cocktail. The Cafe: I went for breakfast alone and, while the formal uniforms were a bit intimidating at first, the staff was wonderful. The best part? The bill comes in a tiny musical typewriter! Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and a touch of old-world Mexico City magic.
My wife and I stayed here for six nights recently during our stay in CDMX. I'll start by saying the staff is excellent and the service is phenomenal. Our first room was a bit small but the front desk staff was able to switch us to a larger room in the same category as our reservation and we're very helpful and accommodating. One thing both rooms had in common was the need for deep carpet cleaning or replacement. Overall the room was good, but the carpet has definitely seen better days. The lobby is gorgeous and the location was very central to most everything we wanted to see in the city and we found ourselves walking to most places. Overall I would recommend this hotel
