Rafting Adventure On The Mendoza River

We had an amazing time rafting with Argentina Rafting. The operation is really well-done. Very organized and safe. The guides clearly have a great time and are excellent. It is very safe with lots of instruction and safety precautions.

An absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! The scenery along the Mendoza River is stunning, and the rafting itself is pure adrenaline—fast, thrilling, and very wet in the best way possible. 😄 The entire team was incredibly professional and clearly prioritized safety while still making the adventure exciting and fun. The group vibe was wonderful; too many great people to mention individually, but every single guide and staff member was amazing and added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a high-energy outdoor adventure surrounded by beautiful landscapes, this rafting trip is a must-do in Mendoza.

My wife has never been rafting and we laughed so much and had the best time!! Ricky was an incredible guide and totally made the adventure worth it. Thank you to Backroads for setting it up. I highly recommend.

This was a great trip. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to the experience not completely matching the description. We signed up for an English speaking tour. We were picked up by the company and drove an hour in the van with 2 other couples, a driver and 2 guides. No one but us spoke English. The guide was providing information along the way but we could not understand it and felt we were missing out. Also the description says you can explore the town of Potrerillos after the rafting. There was no town. We finished rafting around 1 pm and the van didn’t leave until 3:15 to take us back. There was a nice restaurant where we ate but nothing else to do. For the actual rafting experience- it was awesome!!! They are very organized and clearly have expertise in conducting these tours. We had an amazing guide, Blake, who ensured our safety and fun. They give a lot of safety talks before you go (about what to do if you fall out of the boat, etc) which freaked me out but once we got on the water it was incredible. One person in our raft did fall out but it was no big deal- she was able to get right back in. The rapids were so much fun and the scenery is spectacular. They have photographers taking pictures along the way that you can buy at the end for about $10 USD. I highly recommend this if you will be in Mendoza.

It was a wonderful experience. From communication with the office and the bus driver kept in contact with me before picking me up to All the guides and kayakers all very professional. It was very organized and included a couple english speaker for the ones that needed it. They made sure you had the right gear and knew all the safety precautions and then we had exciting time on the river, great group of people and business. Oh, and the restaurant is a big bonus great food and staff

Great experience, great staff, the only thing is it takes a full day for one hour's rafting because like all events here in Mendoza, they collect everyone from their hotels, which takes 45 minutes, and again dropping off. Also, after the rafting you are left in the location for 2.5 hours to hang around, so that you are enticed to buy lunch and spend a little more. It is a lovely location, but 2.5 hours hanging around was 1.5 hours too much for us anyway.

The staff were professional and very safety-oriented. They gave clear directions and made sure we all had a lovely time.

Kevin was an awesome guide. Trip Advisor did a good job of describing the excursion. The pickup from the hotel was on time and finalized with confirmation calls in the am. My wife who does not swim was very scared and Kevin did all that he could to ensure she had a enjoyable and safe trip while ensuring the rest of the rafters were able to enjoy the thrill of rafting themselves. I highly recommend enjoying the food that they had. It is high quality at a good price.

The activity itself was a fraction underwhelming, approx 30-40 minutes in the water. But over a 7 hour duration. The wait for the transport back is over 2-3 hrs. And in my opinion not necessary. The activity was well organised and all of the staff were lovely. Just underwhelming and I personally don’t think it’s worth the money.

<p>The rafting was amazing! I don't know where to start. The guides were very very knowledge and gave us good instructions to keep all safe. We had a beautiful clear day the river rapids were very strong, I believe a class IV so I was told. On the river our guide was awesome and we had alot of fun and we stayed safe. I will spare you all the details while on the water so you can experience it yourself. We brought our GoPro to capture the whole thing and even bought the souvenir DVD pictures. After the rafting, we relaxed at the base and enjoyed a hearty lunch overlooking the river. I will do this again if I am in Mendoza in the future.</p>

<p>Really fun day! In reality the actual rafting experience was very short - maybe one hour in total. There was a lot of hanging around afterwards, waiting for the bus to take us back to town. But worth it for the rafting experience itself.</p>

<p>One of the highlights of our 21 day Chile/Patagonia/Argentina vacation. The tour group was outstanding including pick up and drop off from hotel, to their home base and making it feel comfortable, to the safety factor they followed for the rafting adventure, having plenty of gear wet suits, helmets, boots, etc to choose from. Although we did not take advantage of it - hiking and zip line was also available. After our raft adventure we enjoyed a very nice lunch cost extra before leaving. Very good food and a nice variety to choose from. I am 72 years old and did it after breaking 5 ribs to months earlier from a fall from a ladder. You can do it to and enjoy a great adventure.</p>

<p>We had a great time on this tour! They picked us up prompty at our hotel and took us to a little oasis in the mountains complete with a restaurant, huge patio, kitchen (with great food) and lounging chairs. We went whitewater rafting in the morning, which was one of the highlights of our trip to Argentina. We then did the ziplining in the afternoon, which had lines that extended over the Mendoza River. Some of the longest I've ever experienced. The guides were professional and helpful and the costs for these excursions was very reasonable compared to their competitors. I highly recommend!</p>

Experience simply amazing! Rafting with the Argentina Rafting was very fun, exciting to the right extent and, above all, extremely safe. The team is highly professional, conveys a lot of confidence and always makes it clear that safety comes first. The equipment is adequate, well kept and passes total tranquility. Our instructor Léo was sensational! In addition, the place is spectacular — lush nature, beautiful landscapes and a landscape that is worth the experience. A special compliment to Manuel, who picked us up at the hotel and was impeccable from beginning to end: punctual, polite, attentive and always helpful, taking care of everything from arrival to return to the hotel. Made all the difference to make the walk perfect. I highly recommend! An unforgettable experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice experience. Perhaps a little flexibility was lacking in the afternoon as the rafting was extended a few minutes longer than planned and that took time away from lunch etc.

CONTRACT DIRECTLY WITH THE ARGENTINE RAFTING COMPANY. These charge you 10 times more just for transportation. The activity itself is good but not because of this company that did not come to pick us up and we had to wait in an ugly area.

Very good experience! Rafting is totally recommended and I advise you to enjoy the flame-cooked ribs after the experience right there.

Yesterday, Sunday, I went with my nephew to go rafting 12 km. The truth is, everything was perfect at Rafting Explorer. They treated us wonderfully. And Brian, our guide, was a crack (really cool!) He took care of us and we had a lot of fun despite the cold. Highly recommended!!!!! Applause!!!!

All the excellent excursions! 1 day cannon of tuna guide carlos a kingpin 2 day high mountain guide ornela made us excited with the crossing of Los Andes and the talks of San Martin told things we did not know very exciting! 3 day kayac with Paola guide a genius!! He had a patience and told us very good things we killed ourselves laughing and rafting with Diego as a guide that the truth a kingpin even made us throw into the river and make the best crossing a total genius 4 day unmissable cashmere thermals a dream! I went with no great expectations and got an excellent impression. The people of Argentina Rafting really have the complex from where you start well equipped with food, tables, space, showers. The guides make a very enjoyable presentation of the safety rules that must be adhered to and are very attentive. At the end of the tour you can buy the photos of the journey (very well taken) at a low price. More than enough for half a day of X-belonging.

Argentina Rafting guides are well prepared for a fun and safe experience that pays off. If you go in a group of friends to Mendoza, you can not stop doing this activity. For me: Excellent!!

We were with my daughter in Mendoza the weekend of Carnival, the rafting trip was great, they give you the equipment, there are changing rooms with hot showers, a stop for lunch, very nice place. The experience was amazing even though we had a cloudy day, something to repeat without a doubt!
