The activities are carried out in a gaucho post located at the foot of the beautiful pre mountain range about an hour from the city of Mendoza. Once finished we will begin to ride on horseback, for 3 hours, unexplored paths between hills and plains adorned with the imposing framework of the pre Cordillera with the possibility of seeing wild animals such as guanaco, condor, fox and hares. In the middle of the tour we will go up to a viewpoint located at 2000 meters high giving view to a unique landscape of the city and its mountains. There we will get off the horses so they can photograph the majestic landscape and feel the magnificent mountain, after a few minutes we return to the gaucho stand where a typical country roast awaits us, accompanied by roasted vegetables, fresh vegetables and the delicious Mendoza wine that The rest of the evening will accompany us. At 10 pm approximately we undertake the return to the city of Mendoza where our services end.

This was highlight for our family's visit to Mendoza. Everything was very organized, and the horses were lovely—especially since we were beginners. Beautiful views and great dinner.
Such an amazing adventure, the ranch was really chilled with loads of animals and such beautiful dogs. The welcome was genuine and enthusiastic. The trek was well organised and an absolute pleasure, tipped off with a fantastic rustic bbq meal. A perfect day! Thank you
Stella and her extended family could not have made this better. Everything from communicating, hotel pick ups and any other requests were all dealt with quickly. We took the ride on a very rainy day and with a few beginners, so it wasn't too demanding. Horses were great, no issues for anyone. Back to the ranch for dinner and the meat and wine just kept coming. Loved it and highly recommend to everyone.
Even in the rain this was a great experience. Lovely dinner and such a welcoming friendly vibe. Thanks so much Stella and Gabriel.
This was the highlight of our entire trip. Stella and her family/friends are top-notch: the friendliest, kindest people we felt so lucky to meet and support their family-owned, ethical operation. The scenery was incredible and we ate the best asado of our entire trip. Can't recommend this more, I hope we get to come back!
The horses are very calm and sweet. The trip is amazing. Very bumpy so expect to be sore the next day but the view at the summit is worth every penny and every achy bottom. Stella and Luis put on an amazing asado. Thank you
We had an absolutely incredible experience horseback riding with this tour. Pick up was seamless and we were taken straight to the ranch, which is a beautiful setting. Stella and her family are so welcoming and made the whole trip so personal. We had tea and pastries to start, then were introduced to our horses. The ride was breathtaking and the horses so good at what they do! The views from the top of the mountain at sunset was amazing. Then to top it all off we were served the best meal that we’ve had in South America, a traditional Asado. The meat just kept coming and coming - we would have paid what we paid for the meal alone! The vegetarian option was incredible also. Do not hesitate to book! One of our favourite experiences.
I have to say this was one of the best experiences I had in Argentina. Everyone was so welcoming. The ride was amazing (beautiful views) and all the horses very gentle, so good for non-experienced riders. After the ride, the family of the farm make us an amazing dinner (they even did a vegetarian option for a girl in our group which I thought that was a very thoughtful gesture). Our group got along really well so we had an amazing time. If I come back, I would definitely do it again. Highly recommended! Thanks everyone at the farm!
One of my days out, ever! Everything communicated really well with pick up/drop off at my hotel. Stella is a warm and welcoming host from the moment you arrive. I have ridden horses for many years but others in the group had never ridden a horse, so they chose the route well to please everyone. The guides were great at encouraging first-timers on their calm and sure footed horses. The scenery/views are stunning and such a unique way to explore this part of the world. The food at the end was just what was needed and cooked to perfection, with wine and lemonade on the table: chorizo, beef and pork were served with the most deliciously melting potatoes, peppers, salad, bread and Chimichuri/salsa. Cannot fault it. A fabulous experience with a great group of strangers.
Do this. Best view. Best horses. Best Asado.
Absolutely incredible! I came to this experience with a group of friends since we were all visiting Mendoza, and this excursion was the highlight of our trip! With transportation to and from the ranch, a guided horseback riding tour into the stunning mountains, and an asado with wine to finish off your night, I couldn’t have imagined a better experience, and for SUCH a good price! The staff were all AMAZING, so kind and informed and truly made us feel so welcomed and comfortable during the trip. I couldn’t recommend something better to do, if you’re in Mendoza you NEED to book this excursion.
This was an absolutely beautiful ride through the Andes! The team was wonderful and I felt safe and taken care of through out. The views were breathtaking and I completely enjoyed the tour. The asado was the BEST I had during my 1 week in Mendoza.
Wow, what a beautiful experience, it became the highlight of our trip! It’s a small family business that is ran with so much love. The ride was beautiful, the horses wonderful and the food exceptional!
Absolutely amazing experience, fine for beginners to horse riding too - my kids had never been on a horse. The only horse riding experience that takes you up into the mountains. Incredible dinner afterwards. Absolute highlight of our time in Argentina. Must do experience. Don’t miss it!!! Authentic real experience too with a family and Gauchos for company.
We had the most amazing experience with our family. Our tour group was eclectic and varied with a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. Our group was more experienced and completed the most difficult of the three trail rides. My wife’s horse slipped, but she handled it beautifully and stayed up. Our tour guides were immensely attentive. They ensured everyone was confident, comfortable, and engaged. My daughter dropped her hat… twice. The guides were so aware that they were able to get the hat back to her both times. However, the most incredible part of this experience was actually the food. I don’t have words to explain the deliciousness! We ate at many restaurants and nothing compared to this Asado. The wine, meat, and sides were beyond expectations. I highly recommend this tour! Our group bonded and was sad to see the night end. We ran into some of the people we met the next morning. We happily conversed as old friends as the hospitality set the stage for true friendship.
An absolutely amazing time. Stella, Gabriel, and Franco were wonderful hosts and created a magical experience. The food was also amazing!
Amazing experience, certainly a memorable one - the guides were amazing, the views were incredible, I would recommend this to everyone who travels to Mendoza.
This was the most incredible experience of my life. Coming from NYC I wanted to see the stars clearly and to ride a horse, and I got so much more. The family running this operation cares so much for the land, the horses, and each other. They make this a once in a lifetime adventure, you do not want to miss out on!
A very tranquil and well guided horseback riding tour through a challenging yet very beautiful environment with steep hills and amazing views. And a superb BBQ to top it off! I felt it was well organised and had trust in the guides and horses.
Incredible experience from start to finish. We had an issue with our flight to Mendoza and Stella was very understanding and moved our activity a day later without any problem. She was an incredible host, the horses are extremely well trained and suitable for any level of horse rider, the guides lead and close the group at a very comfortable pace and offered to take pictures at the summit. The views are one of a kind and the dinner at the end also is. It was the best food we've had so far in Argentina, a great variety and plenty of it. Worth every single penny and could not recommend it enough.
My husband and I had a wonderful time! This ranch is a family business. The host and gauchos are warm and welcoming, the horses are sweet and sure footed on the mountain path, and the food was amazing. Highly recommended!
Both experienced and non experienced horseback riders would enjoy this tour. The trail through the mountains was fun and the guides were very welcoming and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! More steak and wine than you could eat! Highly recommend.
5 stars is not enough to show how good this experience was. It was my first time on horses and I had a little panic at the start but Stella, Gabriel and Luis were SO supportive and I’ve never felt such kindness from strangers! luis and Gabriel checked on me the whole ride and Stella was there with open arms when I got back. The asado afterwards was delicious and it was the best way to end the experience. Amazing!!!!
Super nice driver, very cool location (isolated and very off-grid), everyone was super nice and the horse ride was fun. Everything was perfect!
The hacienda is off a highway and down a VERY long and VERY bumpy gravel and dirt. DO NOT be concerned! The hosts are lovely, horses calm and compliant and barbecue after the long ride was delicious!! Don't miss this!!
This was great!!! We were told when we would be picked up from our Air BNB. Ezekiel was fabulous!!! We had so many laughs in the car alone. Once we arrived at the ranch, refreshments were available. The ride took us through canyons of the Andes. You do not need any riding experience. The views at the look out area are absolutely breathtaking. Back at the ranch we were served with a really delicious BBQ. Definitely a must on your trip.
Didn’t really know what to expect but would recommend the experience, especially once you reach the view point, as it’s amazing. Horses are so calm and know exactly what to do, especially when coming down the hill The family are so welcoming and making sure you know what to do and you have enjoyed yourself Full instructions are given so you know what to do on the ride, safety helmets are also available if required. The road into the ranch is an experience its own, but worth it. Really tasty food afterwards with wine or juice. Everyone involved in the tour is excellent. Great communication beforehand, we had a bit up of a mix up about pickup but it was all sorted out easily with the organisers. Would definitely recommend.
A highlight of our trip! A must do in Mendoza. The most incredible experience with lovely people and gorgeous food
We had the best time on this excursion with this family business! They were so welcoming and friendly. The ride through the mountains was breathtaking and the food that awaited us at the end of our ride was delicious. They were very understanding of my gluten allergy and adjusted my meal accordingly. Highly recommend!!
This was my favorite activity in Argentina! The ride through the mountains was beautiful and the asado meal was delicious — better than going to a restaurant! Estela and Gabriel were such wonderful hosts and guides, making me feel very comfortable during my first time riding a horse. They made us feel like part of their family. I would recommend this trip to anyone traveling to the Mendoza region!
Lovely place, authentic, horses were nicely trained and calm. The guides were very helpful and nice. The food was delicious.
Such a fabulous day spent horse riding in the Andes. The journey to the ranch was an adventure itself but so worth the time. Greeted with refreshments and introductions to our hosts. Good instructions to riding and the horses, and then we were off in a line over the stunning and tricky terrain. The views were amazing and plenty of opportunities for photos. We had total trust in the Gauchos and our horses. Falcundo at the front was So calm and reassuring, so even on the very steep uphill/downhill sections, our confidence grew. On our return to the ranch we were treated to a marvellous BBQ feast. Meat, salads, bread, never ending wine and lemonade. It was truly magnificent and honestly the best steaks ever. Big thanks to Ezekiel, Cecelia and Estefanía for welcoming and spoiling us. The communication was excellent prior to the trip, transport was punctual and thanks to Fabian, the drive there and back was uneventful considering the terrain. I highly recommend this day as you will have such a fabulous time in such an amazing backdrop.
Highlight of our trip to Mendoza. Even first timers enjoyed it, no experience needed. Spectacular views. Recommend it. Family owned operation and they are very friendly, excellent food and wine. Fluent in English.
Excellent experience. From the beginning the team was very communicative with us, even sending us a picture of the car that would be picking us up. They take the time to ask you about your experience with horses to provide you the perfect match. You have 3 guides with you on the ride up, they make sure to check up on you and remind you important positions. The view is amazing!! The ride down was a little scary for me, but the guide took the reins of my horse and guided it down. The asado that Ezequiel prepared for us was amazing!!!
I was a solo traveler and almost canceled, but this was great and a wholesome/social experience. I almost did something else because I was alone and had zero experience riding horses, but the rest of the tourists were social, the driver and guides were friendly and never negative, and we all had a good time. Even the riders who needed extra help, spoke no Spanish they were patient with and encouraged well. If you’re nervous about the horses don’t be, they do 99% of the work and all you need to do is trust them to know where to get you. It’s a great experience for solo travelers as well as anyone in a group or couples, highly recommend.
The owners of the ranch were so welcoming and kind. We had a leisurely horseback ride up to a beautiful viewpoint. The highlight for us was the amazing bbq afterwards. Honestly, some of the best meat we had in Argentina! The meal was scrumptious! We were so full and wine was plentiful. Compliments to the chef!
Doing this sunset horseback ride in the Andes mountains, followed by a home-cooked asado at a family ranch was the most memorable thing I did during my solo trip to Argentina. After I booked the experience, the company reached out to provide information on what things to bring (hat, sunscreen, water) and who our driver would be. The drive is about 1.5 hour away from my hotel -- but 1 hour of the total drive is on a very rocky mountain road, so just be aware of that. Once you arrive at the ranch, the family greeted us with light snacks and beverages before giving us a brief tutorial on how to manage the horses. They asked our group if we wanted to do a flat ride or a hilly ride -- we all agreed on hilly! Once they've assigned everyone their horses, we're off to the mountains where we were accompanied by 3 other gauchos who were there to keep an eye out on everything. They helped whenever the horses were walking out of order, walking too slow or just anything that could happen! Halfway through the ride, you stop and get off at this BEAUTIFUL peak where we all took lots of photos. Then we made our steep descent back to the ranch where we had the BEST asado roast, with all different cuts of meat, vegetables, sides, and of course -- wine. One piece of advice - it is a physical activity so be ready to use some muscle to guide the horses. My horse was in a snack mood, so I had to re-direct him a few times to get him to focus and the guides are there to provide instructions on how to do this. The horses are so well-behaved, trained and calm, but they just need a friendly nudge sometimes to keep going :) Overall - HIGHLY recommend this experience, it's a truly unique adventure!
Top Top Top! It was a very nice and authentic experience! The whole family is very nice and lovely and gave us a warm welcome. The horses are very calm and the Gauchos very profecional! Extremely recommendad to experience part of the argentinan culture!
the perfect adventure. I did not expect to be picked up from the doorstep of my Airbnb, it was a real treat to experience that and have such clear and timely communication from our driver. Our driver Gabriel was such a fun and genuine guy, clearly devoted to us having a great time and shared stories with us on our drive. He kept apologizing for his English and while sometimes it was a bit of a back and forth guessing game on all sides, we all communicated very well. The ride was scenic with incredible views from the top of the ridge. the Asado afterwards was so delicious, made only more special by the family atmosphere in which we all ate. A highlight of my trip to Mendoza sure. My only bit of feedback is some more detailed instruction for horsebackriding is necessary as we had a lot of first timers in my group and additional instruction could have instilled more confidence.
Great horseback riding and amazing food! We rode up the mountain and back down. The guides were amazing guiding us and the horses. The food after the ride was delicious and authentic.
What a tripl! We were in a group of 20 or so, with mixed abilities, and at no time did we feel rushed. We were picked up at 3pm by our driver, Fabian, and taken to the ranch. On arrival we were given pastries, coffee and soft drinks, given instructions on how to control the horses and then assigned our horses. We left the ranch and rode along a dry river bed and up through a ravine to the top of the climb where we posed for photos and one couple had a proposal. We then descended via a slightly different route down, at times, a steeper ride, back down through the ravine and along the river bed to the ranch for the bbq. The food was fantastic (choripans, beef, pork, stuffed peppers, fries, salad, salsa, lots of red wine / soft drinks, and alfajores ). We were taken back to our Airbnb by 11:30pm. Many thanks to the very friendly riding crew for an amazing horse ride through stunning scenery; the cooking crew for preparing delicious food; and Fabian for being an excellent driver and finding my sunglasses!
This was truly excellent! Everyone was really helpful and eager, the horses were lovely, the food was excellent and the views were stunning. Very highly recommend - thanks to all the team there!
I had a very nice experience visiting Mendoza City, it's famous for the wine. But I'm not a drinker, so I just stopped for one day just to visit. I stayed at the HOTEL VILLAGGIO, great breakfast included, great atencion from "AGUSTIN", he help me in All my needs in a very professional and kind way. I told him that I was by my self, a woman of 64 years old , and I was visiting for just one day. He was kind enough to get me a taxi who took me to all the important places to visit in town, all the 5 icon Parks. I took pictures in all of them, to the Main market, ( Mercado Central) Pasaje san Martin (it's a Most to visit place), to the Mendoza letters, and to the most Famose place to buy the Famous ALFAJORES which area delicious. The taxi driver was very professional, and kind and patient with me. For everything was only $70 us dlls. We'll worth it.
Absolute wonderful adventure , fabulous hides and great family running it , had such a terrific experience would highly recommend, and finished of with a delightful delicious barbecue what more could one ask for … do it
We had a great time on the beautiful horseback ride and dinner was so delicious and authentic. Loved the dogs at the ranch and the ones who accompanied us on the ride.
Great experience! The horses were healthy and extremely well trained. All the staff was super helpful, friendly and the food and wine was amazing. We had great time!
Excellent views, well cared for horses and attentive staff. The horse back riding excursion was the perfect length and asado dinner was excellent. It is recommended to understand some Spanish, but that is true for most things in Mendoza.
One of the best experiences I’ve had traveling. Made new friends, saw incredible scenery, ate amazing food, and laughed, smiled, and sang our souls full of good vibes. I am not sure if our group is the norm but we seemed to all click and had a lot of fun together, impressive considered we were all strangers at the start. The host family and the gauchos, along with the horses are all exceptionally friendly. For about $100 USD, you essentially get an 7 hour experience with pickup, 3 hours on the horses, a 1-2 hour traditional asada BBQ dinner and wine (and we went through a lot, all included!), and transport back into Mendoza. Now, a couple things, they do offer pickup but they will likely have every seat full. It can be tight in the 2nd or 3rd rows of the SUVs. I would still do this all over, but just something to keep in mind. Second, the actual ride itself is more intermediate rather than beginner - and this is coming from me who has done a few horse treks before and my mom who is an avid rider. Some of the ascents and descents are STEEP, and I had to take quite the leap of faith on one part of the descent in particular. I would personally not recommend this to a very novice / beginner unless they are used to more thrilling experiences and comfortable being uncomfortable learning as you go. Make no mistake, DO THIS trek and this one in particular - they are an awesome family run business (shout out to Gabriel who was our driver/facilitator). Just understand the trek is truly 3+ hours (and you will likely be sore after lol) and it can be very hot even if doing the sunset tour (highly recommend to bring or put sunscreen on) and very steep in parts (but exciting at the same time of course).
Gentle horses, amazing views, a peaceful ride into the foothills. A very good asado too afterwards. Y
