Andes Hiking Experience Full Day

We had a great day in the mountains. Our guide adapted the tour to our experience and wishes. Saw Condors and Guanacos! Perfect day! :)

A wonderful day hike experience led by our guide Matias. He was an engaging and knowledgeable guide who took great care to make it memorable. The thoughtfully prepared lunch at the top was fantastic!

Lovely hiking trip to a beautiful part of Argentina. Our guide made us a lovely lunch which we had at the top. However the trip to the mountain was over 2 hours and we would have liked if there was more conversation from our guide. It was an expensive trip and we don’t feel it was the best value.

The hike was perfect. Vanina was a delight of a guide. The drive from Mendoza was gorgeous. The hike was demanding but not difficult or technical. The high altitude (3000m +) meant we had to take it slow. We saw so many animals and the lunch was delicious.

We 100% recommend this tour! The hike was certainly challenging, but our guide Fernando was fantastic. His knowledge and energy/passion was incredible and the scenery was top class.

My wife and I hiked with Pablo in the Andes. It was a great and extremely memorable experience. Pablo was extremely thoughtful and professional. Traffic was challenging because of construction and we always felt safe because he was a very cautious driver. Pablo made us a delicious lunch on the top of our hiking summit at over 11,100 feet. we had a great Andes day hike with Mati! He kept us at pace and took us a through a lovely valley in Cordon Del Plata, with lovely views at the top. The lunch picnic was substantial at the top! Well worth the $

Absolutely worth it, we loved every second of our hike! We had an amazing time with Vanina as our guide. She was nice, easy to talk to, supportive and very knowledgeable. She accommodated our group's needs without any problems and got us all excited to start planning our next adventure. Joaquin was great while booking our reservation, I had a good feeling about the tour from the start. This was the best experience we had in our vacation through Argentina!

Joaquin and Vanina at Destino Montaña organised an excellent day trekking up the Cerro Arenales and Lomas Blancas for us. We were picked up from our hotel in Potrerillos and then a short 60 minute drive to Vallecitos where we met our outstanding guide Vanina. Vanina speaks very good English and was able to easily describe the safety plan, the mountain, vegetation and region for us. She also provided a wonderful lunch high up in mountains. We highly recommend Destino Montaña for anyone who wants a great adventure of trekking and mountaineering.

This hiking tour in the Andes was outstanding! Starting with the good communication and prompt pickup, through delivery at day’s end, the tour could not have been more perfect. We loved our guide Vanina: she was so friendly, patient, and knowledgeable and she planned an excellent day of photography and hiking that was tailored to our specific needs - plus a great lunch that we had mountainside. She is an amazing mountain guide who clearly has a love and passion for her work. Regarding the hike itself, it was appropriately challenging and we were able to see and feel the splendor of the Andes, especially stunning with light snowfall. It was an amazing day with Pablo. I have almost no experience on trekking and he helped me all the way through, giving me confidence and valuable tips. I strongly recommend as part of a trip to Mendoza

We had a wonderful hike experience with Pablo. He took great care of us. He speaks good English and he made us a lovely lunch at the peak of the mountain! We recommend him! He even took some nice pictures of us and he took care of me when my knee hurt

We had a perfect day in the Andes with Vanina. After the pickup directly at my Airbnb in Mendoza center we headed towards the mountains. On our way to the beginning of the track we chatted and discussed logistics. After some alignment, we decided to go for the tougher option of the possible hikes, which lead us over three peaks (Andresito, Arenales and Lomo Blanca). We really enjoyed the hike and the delicious food! Vanina also told us a lof of interesting things about the area and told us that we might even see Kondors or Guanakos - and before we reached the last peak we saw several of both, also up close. We were stoked! That was an additional reward for the hike. On the last peak, Vanina served us a delicious lunch and even a small dessert and coffee! After the delicious food we enjoyed the view some more and headed down. We all had a very amazing time and can really recommend the Cordon del Plata hike with Vanina!

Had a fantastic day hiking in Cordon del plata with Vanina. We had planned to walk to Confluencia but the park had delayed opening. Joaquin had been great with communication beforehand so we knew that was possible. Was just me and my husband. The hill was amazing, great views. We had planned to walk up 3 peaks but at the top of the 2nd we decided to have a more leisurely lunch and not do number 3. Whilst not a hard hike the 3000+m makes it challenging if not accustomed to the altitude. Lunch was beautifully prepared and we had a lovely lunch in the sunshine whilst a condor circled closely overhead. Vanina was very patient with me practising my Spanish with her. Already thinking about when we can come back and do another trek!

Vanina was an amazing guide for this terrific and beautiful hike. We climbed from 10,000 ft to 12,000 feet over about 3 miles on a beautiful late winter day. She brought up a beautiful picnic for us to enjoy before heading back dow. Spectacular views, jack rabbit, guanacos and great company!!! A highlight of our travels for sure.

Had such as great time hiking the Andes with Vanina! The Cordon Del Plata area is breathtaking! This hike was great in that it wasn't a simple car tour with a stop to take photos. This was a real hike where you had to put in some work to attain the awesome views of the nearby peaks (the tallest I've ever seen!). Saw several condors which was really special (largest birds in the world!). This hike was informative and felt personal, given the small group size. Vanina was very knowledgeable of the area as she has spent many years in these mountains. The lunch she packed for us was delicious. Thanks again! Highly recommend.

This was a perfect day that we will remember forever. Our guide Joaquin was deeply committed to providing the best experience based on what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable, friendly and balanced our desire to do lots of walking with our abilities. He provided a great lunch too. If we could give this more stars we would.

We hiked with Vanina and had a perfect day. She was lovely, professional, on time, a good driver, cared about our adjustments to altitude and the cold. She helped us with photos for memories and layers for warmth. I would recommend this to anyone with a reasonable fitness level for walking or climbing stairs - it wasn't challenging for us as long distance runners and cyclists. These guys are running a fantastic company, cannot recommend enough!

Joaquin from Destino Montaña is an awesome guide: super knowledgeable, kind, and patient and a great conversationalist. In three words: re buena onda. The hike is moderately challenging, but I think very accessible for all fitness levels. And the views from the peaks are tremendous. We saw a whole bunch of guanacos and a few condors overhead. The lunch is a great picada and Joaquin is a master of mate. We sipped mate the entire car ride back to the center of Mendoza.

Thanks to Joaquin for organising such a great trip. We were picked up promptly at the time agreed and drove out to the Cordon del Plata. Joaquin made a huge effort to inform us about the local landscape and climate as we drove and we got to see some beautiful scenery. On arrival we did two smaller peaks in order to acclimatise to the altitude and he provided snacks - we also saw Guanacos and Condors. After making sure everyone was comfortable and checking our fitness we ascended to 3650 metres and saw some amazing views. He then provided a lovely home made lunch with home cooked bread and local cheese. Book your trip with Destino Montana - you'll have a great time, do lots of walking and learn a lot about this region. Thanks so much Joaquin!

It was a beautiful experience. Vanina, the guide who took us, was very warm and careful of our well-being throughout the tour, especially during the ascent. It was certainly the gateway to continue with this type of activities.

A nice Trekking, beautiful landscape, with a patient and experienced guide, very friendly. We are not experienced, so Mauricio (our guide) stopped us to rest and asked us if we wanted to continue, return or which way to go. I brought fruit, cereal bars and a delicious picnic for the top. He took photos of us and was in a good mood for our talk. We highly recommend them

We made the one-day silver cord with Vanina and Germán. Geniuses! They talked to us about the mountain pile and the history of the area, they put all the waves into it and they were super responsible for safety issues and physical regulation to be able to finish the tour. We also have dietary restrictions (celiac and vegetarian) and were super conscious, which does not happen even in many restaurants. In short, tremendous experience and I recommend them again!

The tour was individually supervised and executed very conscientiously. I felt well informed about the process and felt safe throughout. Joaquin also "conjured up" an excellent and unusual picnic. A wonderful experience with lasting memory.

The two trekkings we did with them were unbeatable. Two days for remembrance. And not just for the majestic scenery, but for the equally great guides. Since scheduling oriented the best options of Tracking to be done (in the region there are several options), helping in the best payment method for the people of Brazil do not get expensive due to the dollar and during the Tracking the guide was super experienced, attentive and careful. Right to a beautiful vegetarian picnic.

Amazing Silver Cord Experience 6hs to full all day. Heterogeneous group and Vani as a guide knew how to handle it. Joaquin attentive from the First contact I had to book. The truth is cracks and the surprise for my birthday I loved. They took me cake, sail and sang happy birthday at 3850msnm The group shimmied Justo. Super recommended all experiences that Destination Mountain offers! We made Cordón del Plata with Mauri and Laguna Horcones with Lorenzo. Both were super professional, very cool and filled us with data from Mendoza that we did not know. They were the two best days of our stay in Mendoza because we saw unique landscapes and learned a lot. Excursions are different and unique to those offered from other agencies. They are much more personalized and with landscapes and roads that are not seen everywhere. The experience was unbeatable. The place (with the imposing Aconcagua in the background) is impressive, but what made the departure unforgettable was the warmth and professionalism of Vanina, from Destino Montaña. He was attentive to every detail always. The food was excellent too. If we return to Mendoza, we will surely contact them for some other excursion. They are excellent!

5 stars for communication: Vanina and Joaquín, a young couple who took care of all the questions extremely nicely, courteously and quickly and even recommended another agency for a non-mountain tour. 5 stars for organization: Vanina picked me and another person up on time in the Duster cleaned for each tour. Approx. 1.5 drive to the starting point of trekking. Approx. 2 hours ascent, there was an excellent picnic served with homemade vegetarian dips, tomatoes, eggs, cheese, salami, chips and even homemade bread. 3 stars for the mountain experience: the tour itself I felt was nothing special. A few 100 meters up to a good 3500m and then the same distance back. This long weekend hundreds of climbers climbed up and set up a total of 3 base camps. We hiked to the second. Overall, it was very good to stretch my legs again after the many bus rides. I would like to book again at Destino Montaña at any time, but then a multi-day "real" trekking or mountain tour. Highly recommended!

Everything perfect from the iniclal communication when we hire to the whole day of trekking, with a spectacular lunch at the top. We did the Silver Cord trekking circuit. Really amazing, we are one day with leaden sky, with falling garrotillo at times and cold breezes. But we have Vanina a true mountain guide, exceptional staff and great human warmth. Who always cared about our condition, taught us how to hydrate and solved problems with footwear. To each question there was always a precise answer. We learned a lot along the way. It made us want to face another hill next year in the company of DESTINATION MOUNTAIN. Additional recommendation: pay close attention to the list of things to carry delivered by them, because although it seems superfluous some element, if the weather changes surely that element becomes important.

A highly recommended experience!! They picked us up on schedule and took us by 4x4 to where the old Vallecitos track was. From there we started walking. We were five tourists with 3 guides. That gave us a lot of freedom. When necessary due to the different rhythms of the different family members, we were able to separate and remain accompanied. We were lucky enough, we climbed with clear air, green and stone. And come down with snow! The scenery was one on the way up and another on the way down. Beautiful!! I was afraid to go down with snow, but the guides (Joaquin, Alejandro, Gaston) held me back a lot. Lunch was homemade, delicious. Three tips: 1. If a mountaineer says something is "flat", know that they do not have the concept of "flat" that we have those who live on the plain. 2. Never leave without a guide, the landscape changes in an hour and you get disoriented right away. I recommend Destination Mountain, but if you do not get place (they are very requested, ask in advance) go with another, but do not go alone. 3. The list of things to take seems exaggerated but Everything is used, I did not take it complete and it would have been cold but I was lent shelter by the guides.

Fully recommended all the family experience with children camping and treikking on high mountains. They fulfilled everything offered and more. Excellent strategies to meet the expectations of trained, not-so-trained adults...and possibilities for minors. Safety, professionalism, passion and fun.
