Had a wonderful stay . Quaint and a perfect location. I especially loved the very large bath tube. Being over six feet tall I don’t fit in a lot of tubs comfortably. The staff were as friendly as could be. The free breakfast was super. Much better than any I have had in the states. Thank you everyone. The second time was even better. The staff at the front desk proved that they are impeccable at taking care of their guests. I cannot thank them enough. The location is just outstanding. It’s absolutely near everything you want to be near. Do yourself a favor if you’re in Mendoza. Stay at the Villaggo hotel boutique.

This is a small hotel with charm. I believe (Amelia?) at the front desk (the women who works days and speaks good English) is definitely part of the charm. She speaks very good English and recommended some local restaurants that were absolutely spot on and she also gave us advice on other things we appreciated. We are Americans, traveling the world, in our 60’s. The room had AC that worked well. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean. Our adapter didn’t work and they loaned us one. The shower was a bit weird but we always had hot water. The walls are thin so you hear other neighbors but most hotels are the same. The location was excellent for walking around and we felt safe. The included breakfast was carb heavy but they do have fresh fruit and I am gluten free and every morning they would have a special plate for me. I appreciated this and my husband liked the many goodies they had every morning, coffee and fresh juice and yogurt.
NOT 4 STARs (in anyway) of a Hotel My first experience was them trying to charge me 80 USD for a ride from the airport. I got a different ride. Then they charge me in dollars they converted although their computer clearly has pricing in ARS. Then they tell me its my bank. This is my 15th hotel stay in Argentina and no one else has a problem with my card. Paper thin walls you can hear everything. Arrogance for a barely 3 star hotel is embarrassing. This doesn't not apply to house keeping or breakfast.
Lovely hotel in a nice neighborhood. Comfy bed and shower was ok, sometimes the water pressure went up and down presumably due to other rooms usage. Rooms a bit dated but comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful with scrambled eggs and bacon as well as the usual continental style and plenty of sweet pastries and fruit bowls too. Breakfast coffee was a let down, not great. You can book the hot tub, steam room and sauna for private use which is recommended. We booked a full body massage also through reception which you pay them in cash (Argentinan Pesos). They brought in an outside masseue, Esteban who was amazing and highly recommended after a lot of treking Patagonia! Check out a couple of great steak houses on the next street. La Lucia for something a bit fancier and HUGE steaks and Estancia la Florencia just up the street more informal but just as good and cheaper.
The hotel is in a great location, has a very welcoming clean, pretty lobby and top notch front desk staff, really great service! The only downside was our room which was very large, but looked out into a central corridor so there was no daylight or no privacy if we opened the curtains. The bathroom was shabby. The room had a minibar but no kettle or coffee/tea making facilities, but the breakfast coffee (and selections) were great! We enjoyed our two night stay but would have not been so happy with longer stay because of these small issues.
