A wonderfully romantic quiet setting, with very attentive staff and everything you could want for a nice experience of the Mendoza countryside.

We had an amazing stay and had the place virtually to ourselves when we stayed. I can imagine it might be a different experience if there were lots of people staying but I can only review from what we experienced. Beautiful rooms with double doors onto the well manicured garden which was a lovely view of the lake with mountains in the distance. Lots of wildlife to pbserve. Gardens had many seats scattered around in the shade. Our room had 2 large doubles, comfy mattresses and pillows, air con unit, safe, kettle and fridge. Staff were friendly and attentive, spoke good English. Gave us the WhatsApp number so that we could contact them whenever we needed. Were able to organise taxis from reception including driver who would wait several hours while we had lunch/ tours of the vineyards. Free pool table in reception was a lovely touch, upstairs lounge with some books. Outside pool was refreshing on a hot day with water loungers available in a shallow section. Spa consists of jacuzzi and sauna (extra cost), massage (extra cost) and a very small gym. Breakfast was a lovely spread of fruit, cereals and nuts, yoghurt, scrambled eggs freshly made to order, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, pastries and jam. You will need a car or taxi because it is in the countryside away from the town. Negatives - strong smell of sulphur when using the hot water in the shower - as if it had come straight from a volcano. Dinner service starts at 2000 so if you are an early diner it’s quite late. Clay oven takes a while to heat up so there might be a delay to some dishes if the restaurant isn’t busy enough to have it turned on already.
Very poor infrastructure. The spa is a COMPLETE DISASTER, terribly designed. There are no proper bathrooms or showers. The jacuzzi is TINY. The staff does what they can, but they are clearly not trained. The rooms are far from what you’d expect from a “new” hotel. The only good thing is the restaurant, excellent food and efficient service. Overall, I do NOT recommend Casa Septem. There are much better hotels outside Greater Mendoza.
We booked our stay back in September 2024, well in advance for our trip in February 2025. About two months before the trip, the hotel contacted us and the couple we were traveling with. They told us the hotel would be closed during part of our stay due to an event, and offered to move us to House by Casa Septem instead. They described it as a big upgrade — newer, bigger, with a private pool, and overall a better experience for two couples. We agreed, and honestly, we were excited about it. And to be fair — the house was beautiful. It was spacious, modern, and really nice to share with friends. It gave us more opportunities to enjoy the trip together — we could relax in the living room, watch movies, have wine nights… it had a lot of potential to be a great stay. But unfortunately, the way everything was handled completely ruined that. On the day we arrived, they messaged us saying the pool wasn’t usable — the water was dirty — and suggested we stay at the hotel for the first two nights and then move to the house for the last two (we were staying four nights total). We said no. It made no sense to unpack and repack halfway through such a short trip. So we stayed at the house. And the pool? Never got fixed. It wasn’t usable during our entire stay. On top of that, there were workers outside the house for most of the time — again, how could they schedule that knowing guests would be staying there? Also, despite being marketed as a more private and intimate experience, the house wasn’t actually that private. Multiple people — including the hotel owner — passed by the house regularly. It completely took away from the relaxing vibe we were expecting. In the end, while the house itself was lovely, the experience was extremely disappointing. The communication was poor, the solutions they offered didn’t make sense, and it felt like they didn’t care about the inconvenience they caused. What they should’ve done was cancel our booking, take responsibility, and help us find another place — even if it cost them something. Instead, they insisted on a fix that only made our stay worse. I wouldn’t recommend it. Beautiful house, yes — but handled terribly. Guests deserve better.
The view from this hotel is incredible. You can stare at Andes mountains right on your room's balcony. The lake is lovely. The room is spacious, comfortable, and charming, as its bathroom. The bed is really comfortable, with good bedsheets. There are robes available in the room. Also, there are shampoo, hair conditioner, body lotion, and vanity kit available. Unfortunately, the water in the shower was not hot during our stay. We've asked for help, but the staff couldn't solve the problem. About the breakfast, you have to schedule it the day before, and it starts at 8 am, if I could remember it right, which could be late if you have reservations on wineries around. They can offer you a simple version of the breakfast, that not include eggs, for example, unfortunately.
