Yarra Valley Half-day Winery Tour From Melbourne With Small Group

Amazing experience. Loved the vineyards we visited, tasted 15 or so wines. Rod was a wonderful guide.

Great day out explore Yarra valley wine region by bus to allow wine tasting at 3 different wineries.

Experience was amazing! Guide was on time, very easy to follow and gave simple directions. She was also very informative about the area and the wineries. We completely enjoyed the wine tour experience.

The wine tour was well organised and run, the guide was funny helpful and informative. Each of the 3 vineyards were beautiful and it was a lovely surprise to get to taste some local ciders too. A fun day out with friends!

An excellent introduction to Yarra valley wines. Jenny was an informative and thoughtful guide and handled the delay due to the freeway being closed very well. We were met at each winery with an area set up just for our group and had a little time to linger and get a glass of one at the first winery despite the delay. The van was one of the more comfortable ones that I have been on.

First time to the Yarra Valley for my husband and I and loved it! Great way to spend my birthday. It was great it started in the afternoon and went to 3 wineries which were all so different. Thanks to our guide Rod for making it fun and can totally recommend this tour.

The half day tour fitted our holiday agenda well. The three wineries were excellent with interesting and informative hosts at each. It’s always a joy to be guided by people with such a phenomenal depth of knowledge. Yuri was a great driver and tour guide. Bus was comfortable and the tour ran to schedule.

The pre-trip instructions were very clear. Jenny was an excellent guide. There was just the right balance of commentary on the trip out of Melbourne and her driving felt very safe along a very scenic route to the vineyards. She also organised the opportunity of a cheeseboard at the first vineyard which was a nice addition! The variety of the 3 vineyards was also interesting as they had very different characters.

Jenny was an outstanding and fun guide. Wonderful day. She talked about Melbourne landmarks and history and interesting details about the Yarra Valley. The three wineries we visited were beautiful and impressive. We enjoyed the wine and our group. Fantastic day.

Nathan and the crew made this journey safe and enjoyable, despite the overcast weather on the day. We explored some great wineries and learned some of the processes involved. Was lovely to meet other people along the way. Well worth it!

Great experience and a lovely day out

The whole tour was very relaxing, we didn’t feel rushed at the winery tastings, plenty of time to enjoy the wines and a little walk around the stops.

Nathan provided us with a fun tour! The first winery was absolutely gorgeous. The wines weren’t our favorite, but we enjoyed it. The second winery was busy with minimal explanation of the wines. Would have liked more discussion. The third winery, Soumah, was our favorite! They had some interesting wines with thorough conversations about the wine being offered. Nathan , our driver and guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He really helped us enjoy the bus ride back to Melbourne with fun music we all enjoyed!

The Yarra Valley Wine Tour was our first experience in Melbourne after spending 30 hours in flight and various airports the day before. We were looking for something low-key and relaxing, and this tour was exactly what we needed. Our guide, Perry, was fun, organized, well-versed in wine tastings and pairings, very knowledgeable about Melbourne and surrounding areas, and had a great sense of humour. He took us to 3 different wineries, and it was evident that they had been thoughtfully curated for their unique vibes. We had a spectacular day —— thanks so much, Perry!!

It was a great way to experience wine tasting on a short time budget. Jenny was our tour guide and was very informative and helpful. We really enjoyed her info about Melbourne history as well as wine country insights. Would highly recommend this trip to others!

The itinerary was an unknown - unless you sat next to the driver on the bus. There was Zero communication from the driver, on the plan to visit 3 vineyards. A few sentences would have been very well received by all the passengers who were all asking each other OK what’s the itinerary! The proposed vineyards weren’t stated on the tour details/ outline - which was a little concerning! Also the 2nd stop was more of a wine warehouse than a vinyard - ie no visible vines. Although we were given wines to tast, and described by the staff.

I had a fantastic time on the Yarra Valley wine tour, and a big thank you to our tour guide, Nathan, for making the experience even more enjoyable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating throughout the day. The wineries we visited were beautiful, the wine tastings were excellent, and Nathan made sure everything went smoothly. An absolute highlight of our trip! We were in town for the 49ers/Rams game and had a free day to explore, and I’m so glad we chose this tour. It covers three fantastic wineries in the Yarra Valley, offering 5–6 generous tastings at every stop. The drive from Melbourne is a super quick 45 minutes each way, making it the perfect half-day getaway. Sue, our guide was amazing. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our Yarra Valley wine tour! The scenery was beautiful, the wineries were fantastic, and the entire day was relaxed, fun, and very well organized. A huge part of what made the experience so special was our guide, Sue. She was friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, and made everyone feel welcome from the very beginning. Sue shared great information about the Yarra Valley and the wineries while keeping the day lighthearted and enjoyable. She struck the perfect balance between being informative and letting us relax and enjoy the experience. The wine tastings were excellent, the stops were well chosen, and the beautiful Yarra Valley countryside made it a day we’ll remember for a long time. Such a great day, 3 fabulous vineyards, our host/driver Nathan super friendly and welcoming. Great driver too, highly recommended.

From the moment we met at the meeting point until the final drop-off, Russell took wonderful care of us with his warm hospitality and made the entire day such an enjoyable experience. The tour itself was full of variety, and the highlight for us was definitely the main sanctuary, where we had the chance to see adorable koalas in a setting close to their natural habitat. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a memory we will treasure forever. Russell was also incredibly thoughtful and flexible. When some guests were late arriving at the meeting point, and when I unexpectedly needed a quick restroom stop, he handled everything smoothly and thoughtfully, which we really appreciated. During the long drives, Russell kept us entertained with interesting information, stories, and plenty of humor. Thanks to him, even the longer stretches on the road never felt boring. It was a truly memorable tour from start to finish. Thank you so much, Russell, for such a wonderful day!

Highly enjoyable day with Nathan as our host. Interesting, very good wines at three wineries, each quite different from one another, but all delicious. Very nice cheeseboard at the first (which we ordered in advance via Nathan) and at the last stop we had time for a late lunch which was excellent. Incidentally, I do recommend arriving for the tour early enough to get the included coffee before departure - it was really good!

Beautiful yarra valley, we had some excellent wines and a fun half day with Nathan as our driver. The tastings were just a bit hurried because of the half day but I knew that going in and we tasted plenty of wine, and I liked the half day option. The cheese board ordered in advance for us by Nathan was generous & tasty! We did notice that as far as the wine goes we’re weren’t given the best of each winery’s wines in the tastings. We tried a few excellent wines but we purchased a glass at the end of the tastings. This had nothing to do with the tour just a thought I had on the day. It was a lovely afternoon outside of the city.

Went to 3 wineries in 3 hours. The first and third were good (first is the best), with good wine and great locations on vineyards. But neither offered complementary snacks with the tastings. All other wine tastings I’ve been to throughout the world were accompanied by food. Also, both of these were standing tastings—we were not allowed to sit even though they both have restaurants that were empty at the time of our tastings. The second winery was awful, located in a former hair salon, with poor quality wines. Overall a subpar experience.

Fabulous afternoon spent tasting at 3 Yarra Valley wineries. Relaxed schedule, great host. Highly recommend.

Great afternoon touring 3 wineries in the Yarra Valley. Yuri was a great tour guide and kept us all on track with the timing. The traffic was horrible but did not deter from the fun!

Absolutely top day out. Different smaller vineyards than usual big ones. Price pretty competitive and Nathan the driver was a great host. We'd do this again!

The second cellar door we visited, wasn't to our taste. The wine wasn't really what we expected, and definitely not to our taste. The 1st and the last were great.

Had a brilliant day exploring Yarra Valley! Our guide Jenny made the tour — she shared so much interesting history about the area and local art along the way, and was engaging and fun the whole bus ride. The three wineries she took us to were a great mix, each with something different to offer. Jenny's passion for the region really came through, and she made sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time throughout. Highly recommend this tour.

We are not big on guided tours/adventures, but this half-day tour was absolutely perfect! Very comfortable ride out to the beautiful Yarra Valley with 3 wonderful winery tastings. Would highly recommend!
