I had a fantastic day exploring Wilsons Promontory! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the whole experience was really enjoyable. Everything was well organised, and it was a wonderful way to see and appreciate such a stunning part of Victoria. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Fantastic experience with our travel guide Pete. Pete was very informative and made our travel journey smooth and fun. He was extremely interactive and eloquent.
We had a wonderful day trip to Wilsons Promontory! Our guide, Michael, was super friendly, patient, and attentive. He took great care of everyone and made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable. The group atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and everyone had a great time together. It was such a lovely and memorable experience. Highly recommended!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable day at Wilson Park! Absolutely amazing! I visited yesterday with my couple and we were accompanied by 3 wonderful staff — Michael, Hanna, and Andrew. They were so kind, helpful, and genuinely caring. They made sure we were comfortable, explained everything clearly, and went above and beyond. Best hospitality I've experienced in Australia! Admission fee: Very reasonable / Free — totally worth it for the experience and facilities you get. We spent about 3-4 hours, but you could easily spend half a day here. So relaxing you don't want to leave. Atmosphere: Peaceful, clean, green and very family-friendly. Well-maintained park with fresh air and a calm Aussie outback vibe. Perfect for couples and families. Crowd size: Not too crowded at all. Quiet and private, we could really enjoy the moment. Staff: 10/10 — Very special thanks to Michael, Hanna, and Andrew! Super friendly, professional and helpful. They made our visit perfect. Best for: Couples, family picnic, nature lovers, anyone who wants a relaxing day out in Aussie. Highly recommend Wilson Park to everyone visiting! Will definitely come back again. Thank you Michael, Hanna & Andrew! 🙏
Absolutely loved it! It was a wet day but still had lots of fun. Saw cutie little wombats eating grass and moving towards you was absolutely the highlight of the day. The company is called Explore Australia, very reliable, and we had Darren who is a very friendly and professional tour guide :)
Guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. We were able to complete everything on the itinerary.
This is a must! I highly recommend this. Our tour guide Stuart was great. He made sure we captured everything on this journey. Seeing all the wildlife in their natural habitat, stunning beaches and amazing views of the National Park. I loved every minute of it.
A hassle free way to visit The Prom. Great driver and friendly travellers. Nice lunch stop along the way. The only downside was taking a full 13 hours round trip - longer than expected, so allow time for any connections.
Not a particularly interesting experience. Guide was entertaining, and friendly. Walking was at your own pace. Which was good. Not suitable for older people with disabilities. It was a holiday so lots of crowds and worst part was all the Americans. Go during a weekday if you can.
We had a wonderful time at Wilsons Promontory. The views are stunning and the whole experience was very well organised. Anthony was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip really enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Melbourne and wanting to explore nature!
Our tour guide Mark was incredibly kind and friendly and me and my friend really enjoyed Wilsons prom tour!
Great way to see the highlights of the Wilson Promentary with spectacular beaches and majestic mountains.
This is one of the few tour options to go to Wilson's Promontory. I wouldn't call it a must-do, but it is a nice escape from Melbourne if you have a lot of time in the city. The views are nice and the trip was well organized.
The itinerary was perfectly paced and well organised, allowing enough time to enjoy scenic views. Great experience.
This was an excellent day tour! A huge thank you to our wonderful guides Peter and Anthony, who made sure everyone had the best experience and shared just the right amount of info while keeping the spirits high throughout the day. With three options for the hike (Mt. Oberon, Mt. Bishop, and a walk through a rainforest), we weren't sure how the guides would handle different preferences within the group, but they managed our group of 10 exceptionally well. Most travellers wanted to hike Mt. Oberon (easier terrain for the most part, taller peak, more popular). This meant that they could only reach the start of the hike by taking a free shuttle bus, as other buses weren't allowed past a certain crossing that day. Our guides made sure they all got to the shuttle bus and provided clear and helpful instructions for their return. Afterwards, they took us to the starting point of the Mt. Bishop hike, which we had opted for due to a more interesting terrain and fewer crowds (and a 0.1 stars better rating on All Trails 🙂). As required, we messaged our guides once we reached the top, and they were already waiting for us in the car park when we got back. Since there were some delays with the shuttle bus and the rest of the group could not return to the base camp on time, the guides took us to Squeaky Beach earlier and recommended that we check out an additional lookout, which the group normally does not have time for. This was incredibly thoughtful of them and, indeed, a much better way for us to spend our time than waiting for the others in the car. We are very grateful. The Squeaky Beach was amazing too. To our (perhaps unwarranted) surprise, it really did squeak... On our way back, we made several stops to meet some wombats and wallabies. Our guides' enthusiasm was contagious, and we very much appreciated all the fun facts they shared. The only tiny detail that could make this awesome tour for wildlife lovers even more awesome is getting that iconic purple bus powered by electricity, not diesel. :) Still worth all 5 stars though!
I booked a six-hour whale watching tour on October 1st in Wilsons Promontory, but it was canceled due to strong winds. So I joined a one-day hiking and wildlife tour on October 5th instead. Our two guides were very professional and introduced the unique features of Wilsons Promontory along the way. Although the climb to Oberon Summit was quite challenging, the stunning view of the beach made it all worthwhile. Another unexpected highlight was Squeaky Beach — even though it wasn’t a sunny day, the white sand reflected like a mirror, which was amazing. The two guides worked hard to help us spot wombats and kangaroos. Unfortunately, today’s shuttle bus did not pick up us as scheduled, which affected our later schedule, so we had to shorten the wildlife viewing time and return to the city. Many thanks to both guides — I really appreciate their efforts. I hope to come back next time for the whale watching tour.
It was an amazing opportunity to get to know the nature of the Nature Park! The tourguide was friendly and took care individually.
Gary was really enthusiastic and informative! The trip was a bit far away but the views from Gippsland onwards up until the Prom were exhilarating 💫 There were many hikes / walks so we had to pick and choose, but Gary knew the ones allowing maximum coverage of the views and locations for optimal lookout plus keeping the timing and group mix in mind. At times it did feel a bit rushed, but given that Wilson’s Promontory is a large site, a day to tour it would not do it justice. Nevertheless I felt great going on this particular one-day trip with my partner and could not have asked for a better tour operator and guide 😊
A wonderful experience but a day trip to the Prom just does not do justice as the drive there alone and back, physically exhausted us. By the time we came back home we had a massive migraine from the extremely bumpy and uncomfortable driving (small size of the van); the hustle and bustle of rushing to and from places was not enough exploring other fabulous places due to keeping within time limits and waiting for other tourists to keep up with the rest of the group as they were too slow. The people were great, no doubt, but what disturbed us more was the use of a small vehicle and an uncomfortable one where we were literally cramped up like sardines in a can. Next time, please use a larger vehicle and a comfortable one when taking tourists to long distances.
It is a very special area with so many memorable sites especially Tidal River and Squeaky beach. Darren was a great friendly and informative guide.
From the moment I met Gary our guide I knew I was in for a great day adventure. His passion for sharing and knowledge of the area made for an informed relaxed 2 hour drive into the Wilsons Promontory Wilderness. It was a long day filled with several highlights including the sighting and up close viewing of kangaroo, emu , wallaby and wombat in the wild. I can say although the weather was unpredictable the geographical wonder of the beaches and wilderness would still be worth the drive to this lesser known area close to Melbourne even if the animals are not in view on the day you travel. I guess our group got lucky Thank you Gary for a great day out !!
A lovely day out. Unfortunately the weather was awful but our tour guide Gary was amazing and did his best to show us the sights and get us walking around in between the rain showers (of which there were many). Gary was friendly and knowledgeable. Squeaky Beach was a highlight for me. It really does squeak. Not a lot of wildlife out on such a wet day but we did see a wallaby with her joey. Also the rosellas at Tidal River are fairly used to humans and are quite happy to pose for some lovely photos!
Excellent tour! Wonderful Guide, who looked after us extremely well, we saw kangaroos, wombats and walabahs, beautiful scenery. Thank you, Kathleen
The trip is very nice! It is a small group tour and the seats are very comfortable, our tour guide Gary is very nice and he is willing to introduce the animals and geography of the park. And! There are many animals can see! We saw 3 wombats and kangaroo, emu… the view of the whole park is absolutely stunning. It is very worth to join.
It was a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodation. The hike to Mt. Oberon was tiring, but worth it for the view and the wildlife we saw. We saw a double rainbow with kangaroos, emus, and wombats. It was a really great day with nature. Wilsons Prom is really the most beautiful place in Victoria.
It was a great adventure, hike to the top of two hills to admire the beautiful views and see free lemus, kangaroos and mombats and visit beach. We were a small group of three persons and the guide, so we can talk of several topics and the guide Darren so nice, solve all our questions, made the tour enjoyable and ask us what we preferred to do.
Really great tour! Loved Darren as he made this trip just how we wanted it to be. :) Thank you so much for the memories!
A spectacular place, real nature, incredible views and the best guide (Gary) that guides us through the best places.
Our guide is Pete, very experienced, very patient, excellent, enthusiastic. They left us beautiful memories.
J'ai beaucoup aimé Squeaky Beach. La randonnée au Mont Oberon fut longue et un peu difficile mais ça en valait la peine, la vue y est magnifique, malgré quelques averses.
