This was truly an amazing experience! Our guide did a wonderful job breaking the ice, following our pace, and educating us on various plants and animals. He even offered to take photos for us! I went alone and was able to meet like minded individuals. This all day experience was definitely the price.
The day was a pleasure from start to finish. We got to stop off at a lovely bakery in Meeniyan to buy lunch, before entering the Prom. After a gentle walk over tidal river we walked up Mt Oberon to enjoy our lunch taking in one of the most beautiful views on the Victorian Coast. We then got to have a paddle or a swim (for those that don't mind cold water) before heading to see some of the local wildlife & heading back to Melbourne. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely go on another tour with this company.
Had a blast doing this tour in Wilson's Prom! It was just the right amount of walking/hiking/chill time for a full day. Kurtis is an excellent guide — great energy, good vibes :)
I was so happy I found the only company that provides Wilson Prom tours during winter months as I had limited time in Melbourne. Perfectly planned trip, with decent amounts of hiking, breaks, and nature and wild life to enjoy. The view from Mt Summit is stunning. I mostly enjoyed the proximity of wombats. They were a few centimeters from me. I also see a few emus from near distance as well as kangaroos. There were 3 other persons on the tour. So it was nice friendly atmospthere. Overall great experience and can fully recommend to everyone. Booking was straighforward and pleasant. The tour guide Jay was very kind and friendly. He explained a lot during the tour, and happy to answer all my questions.
Incredibly beautiful part of the world. Great to be driven there and back by a knowledgeable, friendly, helpful guide, stopping at the best bakery in Victoria in the way, and enjoying lunch at the top of Mount Oberon with breath taking views.
Had a great time with our knowledgeable host!
I don't know why this tour is less famous. Kurtis's car had spacious seats and comfortable seats, and he drove very safely. We worked hard to reach many schedules, and at the end of the trip to a nearby place, we took consideration of our physical strength and brought the car to a nearby place. This day is unforgettable and it was the best tour I've experienced in Melbourne.
The tour guide Kurtis was professional and friendly; it was a very pleasant day.
This is a must-do tour, it's very different than the Great Ocean Road Tour. It's an active tour, starting with a picturesque hike through a forest to an ocean view. There is a walk along a tidal river to another lovely viewpoint, then a walk on Squeaky Beach and a tour of a Wildlife Park to look for kangaroos and emus and wombats. This is the second oldest national park in the world, and is beloved by Melburnians. Ryan was a wonderful tour guide, looking after everyone and making sure to get to know everyone throughout the day. He really likes people, and was cheerful the entire 15 hour day. He helped make the day really fun.
The tour was amazing and Jayda is the best!
If you enjoy challenging hikes in a small group and want to see the most beautiful forests and beaches in the world, then this is THE tour for you. Our guide – I think her name was Gwinda – isn’t just a brilliant bus driver but also a real expert on geology. Thanks a million, it was a wonderful tour.
I booked this trip as a solo traveler and I'm so happy I went. The tour guide was super friendly, had great music for the drive there and back, and made sure everyone felt included. Everyone on the hike was delightful, and the views were amazing. Highly recommend Hike and Seek!
Andrew our guide was sooo lovely and low key throughout. Our day was full visitig the dunes, walking Mount Bishop, exploring Squeaky Beach and seeing so many animals on the wild life walk. Very worthwhile visiting Wilsons Promintory.
I had a great time on the Wilson’s Promontory tour. The hike offered beautiful views, and Squeaky Beach was a fun stop—it's true, the sand really does squeak! We even saw some wildlife, like kangaroos and ostriches! The small group made it easy to connect with others, and the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the day even more enjoyable.
amazing trip with nice view and a lots of wild animals, gentle tour guide and not too hard about the hiking, easy to finish
I enjoyed the experience travelling solo and I would love to go back again. Hike and seek is highly recommended to my friends and family.
Good mix of walking experiences including paranomic view of the promontory walking to the top of Mount Bishop, a coastal walk at Squeaky Beach and followed by a gentle walk in the wild life park. Marcus is nice and friendly telling us a lot of interesting stories!
Good experience, Jo was a very nice guide. The description of the tour however, was not very accurate. Plus, I expected food would be included.
This tour was a great way to experience Wilson Prom if you only have one day. The drive on either end is long but worth it. The bakery stop on the way there was amazing, so many great options. First stop was at the Big Drift which was very impressive. Not long enough to venture too far in but enough to appreciate. Next stop was Squeaky Beach. Since everyone brought/bought lunch ahead of time we were able to spend extra time at the beach and eat there. That gave us enough time to swim which was wonderful. Next stop was a hike up Mount Bishop which provided an amazing view of the coast. It never felt too steep but we climbed a lot of elevation. Final stop was a natural walk but unfortunately we didn’t see any kangaroos or wombats as they might have been scared a way by the recent construction. Mark (and Dino) was a great guide. He is super friendly and passionate about nature and being a tour guide. He kept us informed and entertained the whole way. Highly recommended!
Mark was an excellent guide. This trip was a great mix of local history and activity. We enjoyed lunch at the beach and a moderate hike to a beautiful vista. Highly recommend.
We had a great time exploring Wilson’s Promontory Ntl Park and loved having Mark as our guide. He was informative on the wildlife and fauna. Having lunch at Squeaky Beach was a highlight. As a group, we all agreed to buy our lunch early in the morning so we could eat at the beach. The sandwiches from the cafe stop, The Pandesal Bakery in Meeniyan were incredible. The hikes were great, but be prepared with snacks, water, repellent and sunscreen. It’s a great day outside of the city in nature.
A very beautiful day with Andrew! The hiking spots were amazing! We have also viewed kangouroos, wombats, emus: fantastic :)
This was the best tour I did in Melbourne! It was a magical day and the scenery was unlike anything I've seen before. There is a bit of walking/hiking involved but it's completely worth it, definitely recommend! Our guide Matt was so good and very knowledgeable, he answered all the questions and went out of his way to make it an incredible experience, it was a trip I'll remember for the rest of my life, on the way back we were even lucky enough to spot a wild 🐨 even though this is really rare!
I recently signed up for the Wilsons Promontory hike, and wow, what an adventure! If you’re looking for a fun day out in nature, this is the tour for you! Our guide, Curtis, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, patient, and super knowledgeable about everything we encountered along the way. You could really tell he loves what he does! As beginner hikers, we were a bit nervous at first, but Curtis made sure we all felt comfortable and included. He was always checking in on us, which really put our minds at ease. The trails were breathtaking, and the fresh, clean air was such a welcome change from the city hustle. I couldn’t get enough of the stunning views! The whole vibe of the tour was just amazing—great company, laughter, and plenty of encouragement. If you’re considering this tour, do it! You’ll have a blast and create some fantastic memories. I can’t recommend it enough! 🌿
I had an awesome time hiking through Wilsons Prom! Our guide was Andrew, and he told us all about the area and also suggested some other things to check out in Melbourne based on our interests. Wilsons Prom is spectacular! We visited the sand dunes, hiked up Mt Oberon (which had a gorgeous view), and visited Squeaky Beach (beautiful!). We saw a wallaby, kangaroos, wombats, and baby emus. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience! I definitely want to return in the future and go on another hiking trip
Hi, our experience were amazing. We saw emurs, wombat, wallabies, kangaroos and different species of birds in stunning landscapes. The tour guide is nice and very professional.
This is the best tour I had in Melbourne! Mark and Dino were fantastic guides—so knowledgeable and engaging. The hikes were incredible, and the views at the end made every step worth it. Plus, the chance to see so much wildlife was an unforgettable bonus!
This tour delivered. Taking to the trail hiking Mount Oberon with the reward of that view was so good! Exploring the Big Drift that just appears from nowhere and the beautiful pristine beaches and lichen covered boulders was the icing on the cake. Wildlife in abundance with kangaroos, wallabies, emu and wombats. It's a great small group tour, excellent guide, comfortable van (great driving from our guide). I absolutely loved it!
This is the most amazing trip I’ve ever had👍👍👍! Definitely worth your money and time! It’s my first time to pat(actually hug) a wild wombat in Melbourne!🤩🤩 I have been longing this for a longtime. Our tour guide Mark( he has a toy dog Dino) is so knowledgeable and thoughtful♥️ He really take cares of everyone and try to make friends with us from heart♥️. He knows so well about the history, vegetation and animals about Melbourne. I really leant a lot. We form a small group of 8 people. This is much more better than the big tour group I use to have. And the view in Wilson Promontory is stunning!🤩 We walked pass the ocean, beach, hills and desert. We also get so close to the wild animals including wombats, kangaroos 🦘🦘 and wallabies! This is an unforgettable experience in my life!🥰🥰🥰
This is a really great trip. Most important to note is that "small group" really means small - max 8 people. Another small group tour we went on was 28 people on a mid-sized coach and completely different. Wilson's Prom should be on the top 10 list for any visitor to Australia. We saw so many animals and the hikes themselves aren't too taxing but give great views of the varied landscapes. The guide was very knowledgeable and in such a small group it was easy to ensure everyone's needs were met and the guide/driver was able to join us and point out wildlife rather than having to wait with the coach. The minibus means that you aren't restricted by where a coach can go and every seat has good views - you don't necessarily need a window seat. It's a long day but not excessive (less than 12 hours) - most of the time is spent on activities, (so few people means comfort stops can be brief), and overall it felt like a really well thought out day trip. Sadly they don't run all their tours every day so we weren't able to do the Great Ocean Rd with them due to our schedule. I'd recommend taking your own food but there are sufficient opportunities to buy whatever you need. Source your own morning coffee before you leave.
It was a memorable trip. The group was small as claimed, with no more than 9 participants. So, everyone could get to know one another while enjoying the experience.
Had a lovely walk up Mt Bishop, walked on squeaky beach and saw a wombat in the wild, long drive, but a great day. Thanks
Lurinda was a great guide and driver, very friendly and knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed the second hike with the amazing view and the walk on the beautiful beach. Would recommend it to anyone reasonably fit.
Had such an amazing time today! Our tour guide Mark was fantastic and the hikes and views were so good! Highly recommended this tour😊
The views were a amazing and mark our tour guide was an absolute legend. Hike wasn't too difficult either. 100% recommend!
Really enjoyed this trip! The views from the top of the hike were fantastic. The guide was great and I saw my first wombat on this trip!
We did a hike to mt orberon at Wilson’s prom it was great. wonderfull and friendly staff to assist us really good to communicate with them one of the best ones I went on it was good meeting new people
Amazing. Tour guide is so amazing! He’s well prepared, entertaining, and informative. Itinerary was well balanced. Small group size make it relaxed and enjoyable.
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. Everything went perfeclty: the car was comfortable and spacious, the group size was small enough that we got to know the other guests but also allowed us to keep to ourselves if we felt like it. Views were astounding, undoubtedly some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen! Our tour guide Shane was great and knowledgeable and knew exactly where to take us. We spotted emus, wombats and kangurus and saw them up close and running free, which was a much better experience than the wildlife sancutaries. We could not recommend Hike and Seek enough!
One of the most memorable days in Melbourne was the hiking tour to Wilson's Promonotory. Shane our guide was knowledgeable, gave us very helpful tips on how to walk on the sand dunes and knew the perfect place to spot the animals in their natural habitat. Our first hike was at The Great Drift. It's absolutely impressive, like being on another planet. At our second hike of the day at Mt. Oberon, Shane suggested that we carry our lunch, and nothing could have been better than sitting way up there on the highest point,on the huge boulders and having a picnic of delicious sandwiches on this beautiful clear day. I must mention that the sandwiches were very tasty. We purchased them on our first stop at Kelly's Bakery at Korumburra. After lunch and lots of photo sessions we were back down at Squeaky beach, which was very squeaky indeed and our tour group had loads of fun trying to make the squeaking sounds on the sand. The beach itself is picturesque and the waters an amazing shades of blue. The tour ended with an extra excitement and enthusiasm of spotting kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, emus and many birds in their natural habitat. Certainly a funfilled and a fulfilling day.
Oh gosh! We headed out on what I think was one of the windiest days, with some rain thrown in. But you know what? That's what made this trip so memorable for me. Shane, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. He took us on a ride with some amazing views and didn't let the weather put a damper on our day. We had a blast up on those sand dunes, even with the wind and rain – it was loads of fun, an experience I won't be forgetting anytime soon. Unfortunately, we couldn't hike up Mount Oberon because of the wind and fog. But Shane quickly came up with an alternative plan, and we ended up strolling through the Wilsons Prom rainforest, which was truly enchanting in that weather. We spotted wild wallabies and kangaroos hopping around in the rain. Although we were a bit disappointed not to see a wombat, out of nowhere, a wombat crossed the road on our way back to Melbourne.
AMAZING tour! Would highly recommend! Shane was a cool guide and the small group (only 6 people) was perfect. The landscape is beautiful, the hikes doable with an average fitness level, and we saw SO MANY cute animals: Wombats, Wallabies and Koalas. I loved it :)
Fantastic experiences for solo travelers, the tour guide is professional, friendly and good at driving. We had a wonderful trip.
Definitely recommend this trip if you want to take your time and enjoy aussie nature. There are some amazing views to be experienced. As well as chances for close encounters with kangaroos, and wombats (emus werr probably there as well somewhere) in the wild. And wombats really are something special 😍. Our guide was also great company, and the tour was organized very nicely, nothing felt rushed. I enjoyed this a lot 😊.
It was a wonderful trip to Wilsons Prom with Shane. We saw two wombats and lots of wallabies and the hike to the top of Mt Bishop is rewarded with a stunning view. Wilsons Prom must be one of the most beautiful national parks in Australia.
I had a really great time and my group on the tour were lovely. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I wish we got more time at the beach but just means I will have to try and head back there!
The leader was very good and personal. The hikes were different from each other and interesting. Loved it.
Our guide Marcus had endless energy! He was so patient his stories were very entertaining. I sat beside him during the trip and we shared travel experiences. I love travel guides who are well travelled as well. Till the next tour!
Amazing day spent with our guide Jamie. His knowledge of local history and nature is really impressive. Hiking was great with incredible views and varieties of landscape.
