Ultimate Yarra Valley Chandon, Soumah & De Bortoli Cheese & Wine

We had THE most amazing time !! Bill our driver was knowledgeable and accommodating. Pickup from our hotel was on time in a spacious van. Our group had only 6 people which made it great. The tastings were delightful and really good. Chandon and St Hubert’s were the highlights for us. Our lunch was a delicious three course meal after which we had a cheese tasting at St Hubert’s. I would recommend this to anyone that likes smaller groups and special experiences.

Stuff up It did not happen I had already paid$570 I’ve got a notice saying the money will be withdrawn on August 1 Rang Viator. Explain that it already paid. Poor communication. The Tour operator did not show up.

This tour is great for a small group. 6 people max. The driver Nicki was fantastic. The drive through the countryside was beautiful and we also got to see kangaroos up close. The wine tasting was very nice and also a great lunch was provided. I highly recommend this tour 👌.

A very good day, I think 3 tastings is enough we had an excellent lunch and a comfy transport to the region.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the region. The wine tasting was somewhat uneven. The wine tasting accompanied by cheese from the 1st vineyard was excellent. The wine tasting from the 2nd vineyard was mediocre but the lunch was excellent. The sparkling wine tasting was als excellent.

The day was very enjoyable - however lunch was disappointing it did not cater for gluten free my lunch was a handful of rice crackers A piece of chicken and a small amount of French fries for the money paid I would expect a way better lunch I was very hungry - the plater was mainly red meat which I do not eat and it had to feed 6 people I have done many wine tours in Yarra valley. the cheese tasting was enjoyable lovely cheese this tour is very expensive compared to other tours I have done to this region tour guide was very informative with information for the region overall an enjoyable day

Our winery tour with Nicci was fantastic! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so much fun. Not only did we enjoy excellent wines, but she also brought us to a cheese pairing and a chocolate factory, which made the day even more special. Everything was well-paced and organized, and I felt very well taken care of. I’m really satisfied with the tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.

A nice wine tour; the vineyards were lovely. The wines we tasted were ok, and the lunch was excellent. The only sour note was the tour guide taking a couple shots at our President; Trump supporters travel, too.

Booked this trip the day before. Our very knowledgeable and friendly driver Bill picked us up at our hotel. He was very attentive and did a great job on this tour. He had a wonderful attitude and it thoroughly seemed like he enjoyed his job. We visited three wineries and had a wonderful tasting at each one of them. The tastings were nicely set up with knowledgeable staff. At one of the wineries we were hosted by the owner. At another winery, we had a cheese tasting with each of the wines. Our lunch at the other winery was also very nicely done - We were all seated at a large table facing the vineyard and we started with a shared charcuterie board and then a choice of one of three main courses. There were eight of us total on this tour. The mini van has a total of 10 seats and we are glad it wasn’t entirely full. The van isn’t new & was a little bit of a rough ride on some of the roads, but thankfully that did not take away from the day that we had! I’m sure it would be quite expensive to purchase new luxury vehicles. My husband and I felt it was a good value for what we paid and would happily recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the Yarra wine region.

The venues on this tour were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed all three. Great wine and delicious food. The quality of the vehicle and presentation of the driver were not of the same quality.

The tour was absolutely fantastic! We were first picked up at an agreed spot near out home. The journey was just over an hour to the first cellar door. We were greeted well at every winery we visited and had an absolute incredible lunch. Nicky was amazing and absolutely accommodating to everyone's needs. There was only 5 of us in a clean and comfortable van which made the journey more favaroble. If you are a small group or simply don't want to be in entire bus full of randomers and want some amazing insights book this!

A wonderful day my driver Bill was fantastic we had three winery stops first was Chandon second was a small boutique winery this was also lunch stop beautiful food paired with your wine and then my favourite stop De Bortlie wines and cheese tasting all in all a very beautiful day

Bill was our driver/host and made our experience very nice. We felt safe and he added information about our journey for the day very enjoyable. Our adventure had four couples that have been married for 40+ years one at 37 yet I felt that is wonderful. They were all a delight to enjoy this experience with. I highly recommend this tasting of the Yarra valley wines. It was not only beautiful the wineries are top notch. The luncheon was great and we loved the wines . Thank you so much.

This trip was excellent. Our guide was Bill who was great and provided us with a lot of information on the Yarra wine region. Firstly, we were taken to a golf course to view the kangaroo’s, we were able to get up close for photos and to see the joey’s in the pouch! Then onto the Chandon estate which was exceptional on every level as you would expect from LVMH! We tasted 5 sparkling wines with tasting notes provided by an expert. Next stop was the Soumah estate for more wine tasting and a very good lunch with our choice of one of the tasting wines. Bill then took us to the De Bortoli winery where we had a wine tasting paired with five gorgeous cheeses with commentary from one of their guides. We would highly recommend this Yarra Valley wine trip.

The tour driver Bill was brilliant, some challenges getting a date finalised, had to move dates three times. The wines were excellent in all venues, the 2nd venue’s tasting amounts were quite small. At the 3rd venue (Soumah) the wines were generous and the lunch was amazing! The owner talked us through all the wines at Soumah. At all venues you can buy additional wines by the glass and by the bottle (to take home). A great trip

Coordination of the pickup was dismal. VIATOR had confirmed the date and time of pickup, but one hour before departure, Epicurian called us and changed the instructions. Even worse, it turned that these instructions were erroneous. Fortunately, Bill who was the driver for the day called us and saved the day. The administrators of Epicurian were a disaster. Bill was courteous and friendly and made the rest of the day a pleasant experience.

The experience was great and we got to taste a lot of different wines and see some beautiful country.

We were booked to do another tour, but there weren't enough bookings so we were happy to be placed on another tour. Great communication from the team leading up to the tour! We really enjoyed our day out touring some fabulous vineyards of the Yarra Valley. Our guide Bill was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of info during the day.

I have been wanting to get to the Yarra Valley when I visit Melbourne and this was the best decision I made! Bill our driver was knowledgeable and good fun. A small group of us shared excellent wine and food the entire day. Highly recommend this tour!

We had such an amazing time with Bill who hosted us well and was so friendly from the start to end. Even though there was a small hiccup with the van, but he resolved it so quickly and kept us entertained with Tim Tams. Lovely experience throughout and lovely wine experiences. This was a great trip. Our driver Bill was knowledgeable, fun, and overall a great guy. We visited three wineries, two of which included lunch and a cheese pairing. The pourings were generous and the winery staff could not have been nicer. Bill even included classic Aussie snacks at the end of the trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Such a fun day out!

to whom it may concern: I booked this tour via Viator, Nicole from Epicurean called and said that she will cancel it and I can book it directly with her. I said Ok. Once we arrived to our first tasting, we were informed that there won't be a lunch and wine pairing. We ended up getting a terrible lunch at different place.She charged us full price but didn't deliver what she promised. We couldn't do anything about since we were already 90 mins aways from our hotel. I am sure I am not the only one that she did this too. Plus she overcharged for something that we didn't get.

DeBortoli was a great wine and cheese pairing event. EXCELLENT. Friendly, amicable, nice wines. Ferguson Winery the lunch was good but the tasting with lunch was sporadic/odd and the glass of wine with lunch never materialized. The servers seemed to not know how to deal with our group as they had an Easter menu/party going on so we were a bit neglected. Last winery Charon…we started late due to another group running long and then tasted 5 sparkling wines in 15 minutes…we were rushed…even our driver was a bit shocked when we came out so fast. Again, it seemed to be that the winery was overwhelmed by the Easter crowds. The scenery was beautiful, the driver was prompt and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the van was a bit dirty/grimy. Bottled water would have been a nice gesture while traveling.

The bus was old and uncomfortable. The tour felt rushed. The lunch was average. The first and last vineyards we enjoyed the wines. The vineyard where we had lunch, the wines were average. We did a yarra valley wine tour 15+ yrs a go and it was excellent, so we were hoping for the same. We also did a few wine tours in SA two years ago, and they put this tour to shame. Disappointed .

Our guide, Billy, was cheery and jovial. He set up a nice atmosphere for us to get to know everyone else on the tour. It was a small group of 6 people, and we ended up having so much fun together. Billy has been "around the world a couple of times and maybe more", so had so much to tell us about Melbourne and the Yarra Valley with a worldly view. The selected wineyards were all good with a broad selection of wines, and goes with the beautiful settings to enjoy them with lovely company. Lunch was absolutely gorgeous, both courses were delicately prepared with plenty of choices to choose from. I went with my husband, and it was exactly what we wanted and more...a nice day out in the Yarra Valley to enjoy wines without the hassle of having to drive.

Nicci & team were amazing in helping us to organise our wine tour with extended family in the Melbourne area. No question or problem was too much & overall it was a super Wine Tour, experiencing the different Wineries & the stories behind them was great. We would definitely recommended !

Great day tour to the lovely Yarra Valley, made even better by our excellent tour guide, Bill. Knowledge and professional, Bill kept us entertained for the whole 8 hours. Tasted 13 different wines at 3 different wineries. Had good lunch, including a kangaroo dish. Small 6 person group was a nice size for this trip. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Bill was so informative and very punctual. Each event was perfectly timed and we enjoyed lots of delicious food and alcohol. The small group made it much more personal and enjoyable. This trip was a 10/10 experience.

We had a wonderful wine tasting with Nicci. Our group kept talking about this day and what a highlight it was in a 2 week Australia vacation. Nicci is knowledgeable, friendly and adaptable. We felt like a bunch of friends by the end of the day. Please don’t hesitate to book this tour and hope Nicci is your tour guide. We especially enjoyed the Chandon tasting and the delicious lunch. The kangaroos were an added happy!
