Rhonda put together a great 3 hour itinerary personalized to my interests and it was very fun! I wish I would have booked a longer tour with her. Rhonda is so knowledgeable about Melbourne and it’s history. She’s also very engaging and a great storyteller. She made great suggestions for my trip of where to visit, shop, and eat and how to use the tram. We finished at an historic pub so I could try a good Australian beer (Carlton Draught). It was a great time! I highly recommend Rhonda.

Great personalize experience , you’re able to learn the unknown things of the city and real day to day life
Rhonda was knowledgeable and fun! It was wonderful to learn about Melbourne through her love of her home city! She had some hidden gem to share as well!
Outstanding! Michael was a fun and informative guide who tailored the walk to our slow pace. It was a great day!
Rhonda was a tremendous tour guide! She gave us a great background of Melbourne for our first visit and was able to customize our tour based on our interests. Very friendly snd great communication. 5 stars!
Rhonda our guide was AMAZING. She was so knowledgable, catered to our kids and we had the best time. I would highly recommend this tour.
Fabulous interesting insight to Melbourne with a local guide for the two of us. Rhonda was very friendly and helpful. Really professional too.
We like a walking tour and although my other half wanted to cut it short and go shopping (again), I think a walking tour with a well informed guide is a great way of getting a feel for a city. Emma didn't disappoint. Not sure where I goth the impression that Melbourne retained a lot of its colonial past, it isn't that, instead we found a modern and vibrant city with less of its past preserved than you might expect. We thought Emma was great and gave us a great foundation for more exploring during our stay. The Queen Victoria Market is a must, especially the food market.
Fab tour with Karla ..very informative ..personalised to our taste. Definitely recommend if new to Melbourne
Ondrej was very knowledgeable and passionate about Melbourne. This was much better than doing a group tour as we had 100% of his attention
Our guide Rhonda was great. We wanted a 2 hour overview of Melbourne and its history. Good tecoom nations for eating
Our guide’s name was Maeve and her knowledge of the city and its history made the tour a marvellous experience. She very quickly understood what we were interested in learning and seeing and she really made the tour tailored for our interests. She is a wonderful story teller and the three hours went by in a flash. It was worth every penny!
Great flexible introductory to Melbourne history, restaurant , museums and highlights. Very informative and knowledgeable guide.
Mike was a wonderful Guide! He showed us all the sites as advertised and was very genuine, friendly, and gave us many options during our trip! Highly recommended!
Wonderful city tour with tons of history . Our tour guide was so knowledgable and filled our day with amazing buildings, gardens, shops, arcades ( shop alleys) , street art walls and ended at the public library. We walked the entire tour and saw so many amazing areas with so many styles. Our tour guide Maeve had such insight to the history in Melbourne . She was a delight to spend the day with. Highly recommend booking a tour of the city .
It was personalized. My guide, Cherita was outstanding. Very knowledgeable. A really good mix of planned and spontaneous tour. Great personality and we laughed alot as we made our war through Melbourne.
Mike was an amazing guide around Melbourne and customized our experience to our specifications. From start to finish he was a class act, very knowledgeable and showed us hidden gems you would never know about just walking around without a guide. I highly recommend this tour and it worked out perfectly with our cruise in port hours.
We had a fantastic time learning about the city of Melbourne with Rhonda as our tour guide. We have been here a couple of times but only ventured out on our own. This customized tour is the best way to go if you are a first time visitor or have been here before. We saw what we wanted to see and didn’t have to waste time seeing things we weren’t interested in. The tour was ours to decide. We even cut it early when we were satisfied and had a beer with our new friend Rhonda. She even went out of her way to book me a hair appointment before we arrived, which was so helpful. Rhonda is the best!
Great tour, recommended for anyone visiting Melbourne to get familiar with the city and feel its vibe. Very much tailored to your liking.
Sebastien was amazing! He gave me, a solo traveler, a great tour of the CBD where I felt like I had a great overview of what Melbourne had to offer. He took me to some hidden gems like the State Library, which was fabulous. I highly recommend it!
I had a solo tour with Ondrej. Incredible, knowledgeable guy who brought me everywhere from the war museum to the MCG. Huge sports fan and a great dude to have a beer with.
Friendly, informative, laid back, really nice guy. Good amount of local knowledge. Would recommend.👍
Maeve was wonderful and friendly. Extremely knowledgeable about the city, it's landmarks, and history.
This was our first time in Australia. Cherida provided a wonderful tour that took our interests into account. It was a perfect introduction to Melbourne.
Michael was extremely knowledgeable and provided me with information that made Melbourne such an interesting place to visit. He provided cultural values and historical aspects that enabled me to appreciate my time I’m spending in this wonderful city.. He was an excellent guide and I enjoyed my time spent with him
I am so excited to have found City Unscripted! I can’t believe we had a dedicated, local tour guide for such an affordable price. They have you complete a questionnaire to match up your interests. Our guide, Cherida, was wonderful. She provided a great overview of the city for us. I will be looking for City Unscripted on all my new cities I visit!
Great tour with Ondrej.. We booked 2 hours but recommend at least 3 to see the main sights. Recommend
$65 per hour for a 4 hour tour (with no transportation , walking) better be pretty good. This one was fair. Guide arrived late, tried to contact us. Asked beforehand what we wanted to see, I sent him a list. We went to some of the places on the list and others not on the list. Passed right by some of the places on the list and did not stop. Not too personalized.
It was the first time we had the opportunity to have a private tour customized based on our areas of interest. What a great idea to be sent a questionnaire prior to our trip, to help our guide plan it for us. Went for a three-hour tour on the day of our arrival in Melbourne after having traveled all the way from the east coast of USA. Our exceptional guide Rhonda kept us going and made the three hours feel too short. Highly recommended!
We had Maeve as our tour guide, and she made our day. What a joy to spend a day like this. I thought the 8 hour tour might be a bit long, but with Maeve the day flew by, and anything less wouldn't have been enough. Thank you so much, Maeve for a fantastic experience.
Cherida provided a very nice tour of Melbourne for us today! Her communication before meeting is excellent. She has a lovely personality, is very smart, funny and so easy to be with! It was like touring Melbourne with a friend (who actually knows the history)! We'd highly recommend her!

I had an amazing experience! It was such a thrilling way to explore Melbourne, and I can't wait to come back with even more friends and family! Thank you so much.
It was a fascinating tour guided by Rhonda, with excellent knowledge of the city and its anecdotes, we immersed ourselves with her help in the local culture, traditions and daily life, it was more than a sightseeing tour, it was a trip with a friend who showed us the best of her city and Australian traditions, highly recommended.
The views were amazing very friendly staff. Nice friendly atmosphere. Very nice rooms and id recommend to anyone looking for a nice vaccation.
Discover Melbourne’s top sights and hidden gems with a knowledgeable local guide on a fully personalized tour. Perfect for first-time visitors who want a tailored experience.
It was fantastic and i love being there all the time will recommend it 100%. Visit whenever you got time but anyway at last j loved it.
Took 8 tour with Ondrej in Melbourne, was amazing experience, got to see different parts of Melbourne, and many hidden gems and street art. Very knowledgeable, highly recommend this tour!
Maeve was AMAZING! She asked what was most appealing to us in order to ensure we had the best experience possible. When we shared that we were open to anything that was uniquely Australian, she catered our tour to bring in as much Australian history as could be compacted into a few hours. All the while, she was personable, funny, welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging.
Maeve is enthusiastic and knows many interesting tidbits of Melbournes . While walking to many interesting parts of the city to see historic sites we greatly enjoyed Maeve’s inside stories less known and her sincere love of her homeland .
We had Ondrej as our guide. He’s very knowledgeable about Melbourne & very accommodating to our interests. Took photos, gave us restaurant recommendations & showed us special sites in Melbourne! Highly recommend him !
Maeve was, in a word, amazing. Not only did she know Melbourne like the back of her hand, but she is very well read on the history of the city and Australia itself. We learned a lot of the "not so well known" stories of the city. I told her she should be a historian. She was prompt, communicated with us prior to our visit, and was an absolute pleasure to be around. My wife and I are so grateful we got to spend the time with her. She's a pro.
Ondrej did a great job showing us the highlights of Melbourne. He showed us key locations representing culture, art, history, sports, and dining options. He’s very knowledgeable of the evolution of Melbourne and current events. His experience as a professional journalist was really helpful. Highly recommend him!!
We had an awesome day exploring Melbourne with Chris. He is very knowledgeable , enthusiastic and fun guide. Thanks to him we were able to discover a lot of beautiful sites of the city and spend an hour at the beach. I am so glad that, Chris point out the famous Princess theatre, and we were able to get tickets for the same day evening show. Thank you for the great day in Melbourne!
My husband and I recently did a full day tour with Sebastien as our guide. This was the first "private" tour we have done and it won't be the last! I was able to send Sebastien a 2 page list of places we were interested in seeing - he was then able to work up a tentative route ahead of time. We ticked every item but one off the list!! We did a lot of walking, heard a lot of interesting historical facts and stories and got several suggestions of other interesting places to visit in Melbourne. I would take another tour with City Unscripted again!
The phenomenal knowledge of our tour guide made our experience exceptional. His expertise & narrative skills made us truly appreciate the history, culture and beauty of Melbourne
Got a very high level view and description of various key sites and buildings. The guide was ok and did not come across as being very friendly to tourists .. didn’t feel comfortable asking him to take pictures , which is very important for a tourist
I find that a day 1 tour of a new city helps you orient yourself and feel more comfortable for the rest of the trip, as well as plan better what things you want to see and when. On this one we made a well planned loop of the central city, helping me understand it better both in terms of layout and culture. BTW, if you are visiting Melbourne, go see the Old Gaol. It's a cooler museum than it sounds like. Also, the town makes surprisingly high quality chocolate.
Our guide had lived in Melbourne for 30 years and had an extensive knowledge of the city and its history. An enjoyable day.
