Private Great Ocean Road 12 Apostles Tour–classic Heritage Tour

There were 4 of us on this tour. Noel was our guide. We got off to a slow start because he said he could not see us outside the hotel that was our pick-up location. As a result, we left 15-20 min late - which is the reason for my medium rating for meeting/pick up point. On that note, the tour company said they could not pick us up at our hotel, Le Meridien Melbourne, because there was no where to park/pick up on the street. However, the hotel has a side drive, off the street, where other drivers/tour operators met us. The rest of the trip was wonderful. This was a "reverse order" tour with the idea being we would get to the "12 Apostles" first, before a mass crowds. The site was still very crowded with many big bus tours. I can't imagine how crowded it would have been had we not done the reverse order. After that, Noel took us to his "secret spot" close to the 12 Apostles, the blow hole. We had the place to ourselves and the site was beautiful. On the way back to MEL, Noel stopped at another of his "secret places" to show us Koalas in the trees (we saw at least 10) and then at a golf course so we could see kangaroos in the wild. Throughout our drive he entertained us with stories about Australia and what we were seeing. He was very kind and personable and took the time to take photos of the 4 of us together. Travelling along the Great Ocean Road was one of the best road trip experience I have had. With stunning views and The Great Ocean Road offers one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the world. The tour seemed disorganized at first. However when we were alas with our tour guide we loved the rest of the trip. Steve was an easy going guide with a fun sense of humor, great patience and lots of knowledge A fun experience enhanced by fun strangers sharing the ride!

My wife and I and our two friends had a great Ocean Road tour experience, made even moreso thanks to our very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining guide, John. He gave us great history and context for everything we saw during the tour. He taught us how to best spot wild Koala bears and then found places to pull over so we could get great photos of them. He was also very creative in finding a place for us to see and photograph wild Kangaroos. He also chose both a great lunch, and later in the tour ice cream, spot for us to enjoy. Our highlights were the 12 Apostles, the Loch and Gorge, the wildlife and the rainforest. All four of us highly recommend the tour and John-who made the tour even better than we expected.

Pretty much the tour was spent only in the car. We were promised lots of places and ended up seeing only 50%. Most of the other tours we spent with small groups were much better.

Steve-o was mildly funny and sometimes stayed on the road. I tried to get him to climb up the tree to wake the koala but unfortunately the car key fell out of his pocket and we had a debate instead about driving off without his key. Seriously it was fun and a great energy on the tour. I’d go again.

Timely pick up and extremely entertaining during the entire trip. Ive visited GOR several times and Stev-O took us not just to GOR but kangas and koalas were nice surprises. Will recommend...and I live in Aus 👍👍👍👍👍

Steve was a great tour guide. He shared lots of information about all the towns we went through and he was very knowledgeable with lots of facts. He had a great sense of humour and kept us laughing throughout the tour. We even had to make an emergency dash to find a toilet for one of the passengers and luckily made it in time. It was the running joke for the rest of the tour. Got to see all the landmarks and lots of native animals in their natural environment. Well worth the money and would definitely book with this company again

Steve was an excellent tour guide. Fun and witty while also full of information. Particularly like how he knew local spots (where the big tours are not) to see koalas and kangaroos. Well timed stops for coffee/breakfast and lunch, and also got to 12 apostles just before all the tour buses showed up and it got packed out. This is more important than you realize. Bus was new, clean, and comfortable and met people from around the world. He also helped take pictures at some of the stops. 10/10 - would absolutely recommend.

The Twelve Apostles is absolutely stunning, truly a must-see destination! Our tour started early at 6:15am, and the scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road was breathtaking from start to finish. Every stop along the way offered incredible photo opportunities. Our guide, Rafi, was fantastic — very knowledgeable, friendly, and shared lots of interesting facts throughout the trip. He made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne. It’s a long day, but totally worth it for the amazing views and smooth, well-organized experience!

he is a great tour guide. Rafy is attentive and caring to the passengers enthusiastically. the road will be a bit winding and make passengers carsick, if you are afraid you can bring medicine but Rafy will also prepare the necessary items for you. this is the best experience in my trip to australia, 5 stars for Rafy

We had a fantastic time onboard this Private tour of great ocean road! Jay was such a joy to have on board as our guide and driver. He is knowledgeable on the history of all the tour sites we visited. Normally tours don’t accommodate those with an upset tummy, but Jay made sure everyone on board was always comfortable. Definitely a must go for first timers as the views are incredible and you beat the crowds when going in reverse. We left and returned on time. We saw everything we wanted to see including koalas and kangaroos! The Mini van is quite comfortable with wifi and charging ports. Amazing experience for a great Family day out We loved the customised option. We could spend more time at places we liked. Overall We had a Great time 😊😍.

we were picked up right on time at our assigned area. Bill, our guide was wonderful and told many stories and told his history and lots of great information. He knew the area very well helped to keep us on time as we stopped at multiple different places. The sites of the great ocean River were gorgeous and we even had the opportunity to fly in a helicopter up to see the bay of islands, which was a wonderful treat for us.
