We took this tour, and Pete, our guide and driver, made the experience truly exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable, informative, and engaging, sharing fascinating insights about the region and its history. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous, with spectacular coastal views and plenty of memorable photo opportunities. A highlight was spotting koalas and kangaroos in the wild, which made the tour even more special. We highly recommend this tour, and if you have the opportunity to tour with Pete, even better. His enthusiasm, expertise, and personality made for an unforgettable day.

An unforgettable good memory was created on the Great Ocean Drive, thanks to Theo, our tour guide, who was excellent and very knowledgeable. He kept the entire group on the trip amused from start to finish. I had no idea what the trip would entail, but got more of beautiful Victoria than anticipated. Will recommend this trip to family and friends.

This was an excellent tour! I’m not usually interested in group tours but this was a great choice when I only had one extra day in Melbourne. We saw a good cross section of the natural area outside Melbourne—beaches, koalas, kangaroos, the rainforest—and yet it didn’t feel rushed. We had the right amount of time at each stop. The reverse itinerary and small group size helped too. But perhaps the best reason to choose this tour over others was the guide. He was great! Very knowledgeable about the local geography and history and a good storyteller. It helped us feel more connected to the places we visited. I highly recommend!

There are so many Great Ocean road trips from Melbourne and So glad I chose this one. From the pick up from my hotel at 6:15, the guide Peter has been fantastic. Really friendly and knowledgable. Being in a group of just 10 made all the stops and logistics very easy. The “reverse itinerary” took us to the 12 Apostles first, then back along the coast. As well as the amazing scenery, Peter knew all the spots for wildlife, and saw Koalas, Kangaroos and an Echidna. Fantastic- would recommend 100%

Awesome tour! The reverse itinerary allowed for viewing of all the stops with minimal crowds. The stops presented a great mix of Australia's natural beauty and wildlife. Melvin was a fantastic guide - provided us with so much about information about Australia's history and wildlife, all while driving and keeping us on time!

An excellent tour, Peter was an excellent guide and brought us to all of the important sites that included koalas and kangaroo- watching. A definite must-do if you’re visiting Melbourne

From booking the tour , to information , pick up to the day itself. David is a fabulous guide , very attentive , informative and create a very interactive atmosphere. He is accommodating and making sure eveyone is comfortable and fulfilling our wishlist. Saw koala , kangaroo and David know how to make the trip smooth and skip traffic. Highly recommend to go with them. Small group , wireless onboard , water etc

We spent 12.5 hours in the company of our guide and driver Peter He had a great balance of history empathy and expert driving. He worked hard to provide unique experiences on a well worn path visited by millions of travellers. He worked hard to keep us on time recommend eateries based on food preferences and provide local insight to the rest of our time in Melbourne. Keep up the quiz about how many rabbits can be made from a 24 to start and factoids about indigenous species. Well done

Our tour guide was Peter and he was great! It’s a long day and lots of time spent inside the van but he had a good balance of talking and giving us background information and just playing music. Some of the stops are quick but they’re able to pack lots of places to see so that’s good!

Wonderful day trip to see amazing sites along the Great Ocean Road. Guide Peter was excellent, providing history and knowledge of Australia and the area. Knew exactly where to find wild koalas along the way.

Wonderful day! Our guide Melvin was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining. Beautiful scenery and saw lots of wildlife. The van was very nice and Melvin was a very good safe driver.

I went with Melvin. From the pick up to drop off the entire experience is awesome. He took care of giving us a great experience finding Koalas and Kangaroos which I thought was beyond what a normal experience.

A long but very full day! Our guide Peter was excellent, very knowledgeable and looked out for the well-being of the group. Saw some amazing sites and wildlife too. There was some confusion about pickup due to the options provided on Viator so we got picked up much earlier than planned but it all worked out.

My friend and I enjoyed the Great Ocean Road trip. Marvin was our driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable. Long day but well worth getting out and about. Highly recommend this trip.

Comprehensive Great Ocean Road trip in small group with eloquent engaging driver/tour guide in Peter. Only complaint is that the Mercedes mini bus is clearly designed for those with smaller backsides than mine and was a little uncomfortable!

We had a fabulous day with Melvin! Would rate him with 20 stars! Very informative about the history of Australia and then background stories about all the sights along the way! We saw it all on this reverse itinerary and avoided the big bus crowd for a more intimate tour. Great lunch stop in Apollo Bay … don’t miss the scallop pie at the Bakery … a special treat !!! And don’t forget to give Melvin a nice tip … he earned every bit of it!!!

We were greeted that on time at our hotel by David he was a great Guide very knowledgable and made our day very easy. The downside was his commentary. Mike did not work which was hard for him. All our stops were great and we were on time for most of the day. Well we’re doing great way to see the great ocean road and all the sites it’s got to offer

Melvin was a brilliant guide. He was clearly very knowledgeable about Australia and Victoria and did his best to make the group interact. He was also a very safe driver on the twisty and bumpy roads The walk around the rainforest was a pleasant surprise. For those who don't want a meal in Port Apollo, I'd recommend a walk around the harbour and breakwater. It was a lovely 30 minute walk.

Really enjoyed the tour! Our guide was friendly and chatty, and shared lots of interesting stories about Australian history. Easy to understand even for non-native speakers. He was very caring, and the frequent short toilet breaks were a nice touch. Beautiful scenery too!

Great tour! Pick up was on time, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Melbourne and the tour stops. Time allotted for us to roam around and take photos was just right. I do hope the van came with a cup holder at least for our tumblers/coffee.

Peter was exceptional - he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming to our entire group. He planned the trip out so we could avoid most crowds whilst giving enough time to explore locations. All in all a great experience and I would recommend to anyone thinking to go ahead and book. 10/10.

Our guide was incredibly professional. He flexibly adjusted the itinerary according to Melbourne’s unpredictable weather. Very knowledgeable, he shared all kinds of information and fun facts about Melbourne along the way. He was also really skilled at spotting koalas and kangaroos. Even though it was rainy and cloudy today, we had an amazing time.

Awesome journey, safe and steady drive! John have picked us up right on the time, we arrived at the twelve apostles and explored it from several different locations that were few visitors there and it was wonderful. Also we saw koalas from very near distance, and dozens of wallabies!!! It is amazing!

Overall the tour was nice but the reason I gave a 3 out of 5 is because there were spots that was written on our itinerary that the tour guide did NOT do 1 - At Apollo bay we were meant to choose on our own a place to eat but instead we were told by the tour guide where to eat as these people were quick at preparing meals 2 - our itinerary said that we were meant to walk in a volcanic rock beach and we didn't 3 - on our itinerary we were meant to be at The Great Otway national park for 30 minutes and we didn't do that either 4 - we were also meant to have gone to the Chocolatier on the great Ocean road and we didn't do that either. I went with such excitement to do all these things to feel flat coming coming back as I know they were not done. That is the reason why I booked this tour as I liked what I read and to get only half of what was presented. We should all get a partial refund as we didn't get exactly what we paid for

Reverse tour is a great idea if you want to avoid the crowds in the key attractions. Our guide was great, knowledgeable and very engaging. For the 11.5 hours we had, he managed to pack a lot of interesting things to see…..managed to even spot koalas and see kangaroos.

Peter our tour guide and driver was absolutely awesome very knowledgeable great personality and we had fun at so many different locations. Great day. Driver Peter was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and a safe driver. No big crowds for photos doing reverse itinerary with a small group of 10. Morning tea, lunch and chocolate/icecream stops were all tops. No issues with you eating on the bus, which was very clean to start the day. Small amounts of walking required to get to the 12 Apostles and other sites but this would be the same for all operators.

Peter was the most kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable guide. What made this tour extra special was the little touches like genuinely being interested in every traveller, their story and background. At the end of the tour we received a small token of appreciation in an unexpected gift. The weather was so beautiful and doing the tour in reverse meant we avoided a lot of the crowds. I’d defintely do this tour again 😊

We had a fantastic experience on the Luxury Great Ocean Road Group Tour, and a huge part of that was our driver and guide, John. John was funny, personable, and genuinely passionate about the Great Ocean Road and everything we were seeing along the way. He drove like a local, knew the area incredibly well, and kept the day entertaining without making it feel overly scripted or touristy. One of the highlights was seeing koalas in the wild. John made a real effort to make sure we had that experience, and it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the entire day. The Great Ocean Road is spectacular on its own, but having a guide who clearly enjoys what he does makes a huge difference. John made the trip fun, relaxed, and memorable. I would definitely recommend this tour—and if you get John as your driver, even better.

John is an excellent tour guide and driver. We felt safe and comfortable in his care. He took notice of the little things and looked after everyone’s needs. He has excellent knowledge of the history of places we went and stopped so overseas passengers could see kangaroos & koalas in the wild from a close distance. He explained things of interest on the journey, the history of various areas and briefed us in advance before each stop. He really looked after all of us.
