From the beginning Perry was a great guide. He met, engaged and talked with each person. We had a coffee to go (included). Left on time and had a wonderful time. The Olive Tree winery/ lunch was great. The weather was very kind to us. The 3rd winery (Pt Leo) had fantastic wine and marvellous views and Pat who responded to the group and was very informative. Perry made everyone feel very welcome and made the day a treat for all. Thanks heaps

I would recommend this tour to any serious wine lover - the experience felt like a personal full-day wine tour, not a group tour. The four wineries/cellar doors that we visited were architecturally stunning, friendly, and most importantly, had amazing wine that typified the region. The tour felt bespoke, curated, and well thought out, as opposed to other wine tours that seem to pick the cheapest. The bus was clean, comfortable and well-sized. The views throughout the day were spectacular. The included lunch was even more spectacular (if Jenny recommends the lamb, get the lamb.) But the most impressive part was our guide Jenny. She was kind, warm, and friendly, and took the effort to get to know everyone on the tour so they felt welcomed and comfortable. She made the experience all the worthwhile. If you want to learn about the best wine the Mornington Peninsula makes, this is the tour for you.
Exceptional wine tastings and lunch. All the wineries were excellent. Wines and sommeliers were excellent with variety of wine grape and history. Our guide was friendly, polite and at times gave us a little history of Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. This a tour worth taking.
Overall, it was a fantastic tour. Although the itinerary changed from Ten Minutes by Tractor to Port Phillip Estate, every winery we visited was wonderful and offered many elegant wines. The final stop, Pt. Leo Estate, was a spectacular place to enjoy both art and wine. The weather wasn't the best, but we got to see a rainbow. It would have been difficult to arrange the schedule, transportation, and visits all on my own, so I am very glad I joined this tour. Having Wi-Fi available in the car was incredibly convenient, and our guide, Jordan, was extremely kind and helpful.
Had a good day out. Vineyards were pleasant & nice not to drive. Good small group & lovely driver. Overall a little overpriced & some poor communication initially as tour was one hour late leaving -the organisers had made a mistake with the bus & scrambled a tour at the last moment. No compensation for the mix up.
Our group of 7 ladies really enjoyed this tour. The destinations were a good variety and well picked. The van was very comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 2 groups on board. Perry, our driver, was friendly, knowledgeable and ensured we had a great day!
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Mike our guide was very informative and personable and helped make the trip just a fantastic day out. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys wine, good food, meeting people and great scenery.
Fantastic day out with Shelton from Local Way Tours, such a nice guy and very knowledgeable on all things Melbourne/Mornington Peninsula. Views from Arthurs seat incredible, Green Olive for lunch was fantastic and wineries we visited were top notch….beautiful locations and tastings delivered by staff who are very passionate about their craft, we loved it. Stand out for me was Pt. Leo Estate, fabulous artworks in a stunning location…. we couldn’t recommend this tour more highly, up with best we’ve done, thankyou team ☺️
Wonderful wine tour with Local Way Tours! Jenny our guide was fantastic in every way. Highly recommended as we visited lovely wineries and had a delicious lunch. Note: Do Not Book With TripAdvisor; instead book directly with Local Way Tours. Information on the TripAdvisor site was inaccurate and created confusion regarding the length of the tour. We had SUCH a wonderful time on this wine tour! Would 100% recommend, we started the day with a free coffee as we waited for everyone to arrive, our tour guide Ned was so lovely and friendly, he gave us some great local knowledge and history as we were driving round, and was a fab guide! We saw some gorgeous places, tried so many lovely wines, and had a fantastic day out. The weather was super wild, but it didn’t affect the tour at all as we had some great views from inside the wineries. There was a great variety of food and drink, and we didn’t feel rushed at all at any point - the tour was absolutely perfect, and we would definitely book again! Thank you for such a memorable and genuinely lovely experience ☺️
From the beginning to end, this was a fantastic tour! Teresa was the best guide, very knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. She also had the best playlist! The wineries and lunch were all high quality with delicious offerings. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed an eight hour tour of Mornington Peninsula and wine tasting at three wineries on April 4, 2026 with a group of eight. Our guide, Jenny, was helpful, personable, provided this Canadian on his first trip to Victoria some insight into local customs. Jenny provided good recommendations for options on the tour. She was a good, cautious driver, handling heavy freeway traffic competently. We visited three different wineries with different growing conditions and wine making techniques and aging. They were not to crowded and we were able to keep the tour moving. A nice menu selection at the included lunch. Unfortunately I was not feeling 100% so choose to be very careful and modest in sampling the wines.
We had a fabulous day, visiting Arthur’s seat and four wine estates, all very different and interesting. Three estates where we had a tasting included. Our guide Russell was so knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts and information on the history and current events about Melbourne and the locations we visited, all with great humour and care. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable day. The day is well planned out and the lunch at Green Olive was excellent. We would highly recommend this lovely day out.
We loved this wine tour of 3 wineries for tasting, one of which we had lunch at and another for viewing the Sculpture garden at Pt Leo estate. It was a small group of 5 of us, we all had lunch together after an hour drive to the peninsula and a short walk at Arthur’s Seat- then 3 went off to do the Hot Springs trip and my husband and I continued to 2 more tastings. Nathan was an excellent considerate host, guide and driver.Sadly he had a minibus that had been troubled by mechanical issues , and the side door was jammed for half an hour before he was able to fix. Luckily we were given a complimentary glass of wine at the vineyard while we waited. Lovely lunch at the Green Olive and a paddle of wine to taste.Super knowledgeable wine guides at the vineyards we went on to-Trofeo and Port Phillip Estate.Disappointed not to be taken to 10 minutes by tractor which was on the tour itinerary and one of the reasons we booked it.
Nice tour but was combined with the hot pools tour due to low numbers. Made it a very long day!
Great trip to the peninsula. With guide Mike, who was informative numerous and knowledgeable. Great mix of people on the minibus we were on. Really good vineyards, though could possibly drop St Leo's as very busy and staff seemed under pressure. Compared with the other vineyards where staff welcoming, informative and able to take time to describe their wines and their vineyards.
One of the best tours I’ve had. Lots of time spent on wineries so not being rushed. The chosen wineries were also great. Lastly the small bus and nice driver (Perry) made it the best. Thanks for this great experience!
Fantastic day exploring the Mornington Peninsula with our wonderful guide, Shelton! We began the day soaking in beautiful peninsula views — the perfect relaxed start to our experience. Our tasting at Trofeo Estate was excellent, made even more memorable by an engaging and knowledgeable host who brought each wine to life. The selection evolved from good to great as we worked through the tasting. Port Phillip Estate impressed us from the moment we stepped into the stunning tasting room, with sweeping views across the vineyards and trees down to the bay. Their wines were the standout of the day — particularly the Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Our final stop at Pt Leo Estate offered something special for everyone. Two of us wandered through the unique sculpture garden while the others relaxed on the patio enjoying a final tasting — a perfect way to end the afternoon. Throughout the day, Shelton took exceptional care of us, keeping everything running smoothly while sharing insights and ensuring we stayed on schedule without ever feeling rushed. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who appreciates quality wine, beautiful scenery, and a seamless, well-hosted experience.
This was a great wine tasting experience! Perry was a fantastic host and was very knowledgable about the area. The whole day was planned very well and we had a great time. We would defiantly do this trip again!
We had a fabulous day on our Wine Tour. Mike our tour guide was friendly and informative. We had a small group of 10 and by the end of the day we had made new friends. The wineries were amazing. Pick up from The Arts centre at Melbourne was easy and you start the day with a complimentary coffee for The Protagonist Coffee Shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
Ned was an excellent tour guide, gave interesting insights and kept the tour group informed and entertained throughout the day. Wineries were superb and especially loved our lunch place Green Olive.
We had such an amazing tour! Theresa was a great guide and driver- she added a lot of fun and knowledge to our tour. I loved the wineries we stopped at and would definitely recommend this tour!
Led by Perry, this was a super tour of four wineries with lunch at the first, wine tastings at the first three and the option of a further tasting, some more food or just a regular glass of something that took your eye at the fourth. As the fourth winery was Pt Leo Estate on our itinerary yesterday, you also had the option of walking around the sculpture park which was fun with awesome views across to Phillip Island. Perry was a chatty and fun guide who brought the Peninsula to life. he interacted well with all the groups on our minibus and really contributed to the experience. We had a great day out!
Pickup at 10am back in Melbourne at 6:30pm. There were no highlights of the tour as everything was great. Ray’s a good tour guide. It’s a small group and small comfortable bus ride.
Michael was a great driver, friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself was great- the winery was fantastic(service food and wine top notch, and the welcome from 2 beautiful 4-legged friends were adorable) and the thermal springs were wonderful. A lovely day out. Highly recommend.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Jordan was our driver and guide,he was excellent, didn't talk too much but was still informative.
I did enjoy this tour, Perry our tour guide was fantastic. The view from Arthur’s seat of the bay and back to Melbourne was a great way to start the tour once we got to Mornington. Lunch was very good and the plates were generous portions. The three vineyards we visited after lunch were good and I really enjoyed the unique way the second vineyard made there wine. Overall a very enjoyable day
Great day out, great tour guide in rod, good food and wine at the winery recommend the soup option and the red wine tasters especially the Shiraz and rose, and a great day at the hot springs, weather wasn’t the best as it was raining but not constant, but you’re there to get wet in the hot springs, recommended trip
Excellent trip. Ray our Guide and Driver was spot on with his advice and as our tour guide. Friendly and knowledgable is all you want on a cold day out and about. Ray was excellent
Wonderful tour! Perry was an excellent guide, he was so friendly and helpful. Great trip to multiple beautiful wineries. Would definitely recommend!!!
A very pleasant tour which I would highly recommend. The wineries chosen were just beautiful and it is clear that the company is passionate about what they do. Shout out to my tour guide on the day Mike- friendly, knowledgeable about the region and a consummate professional 😀
It was a relaxing day to visit sites in this rural peninsula. There is some driving down time to get there and back. It was nice to eat at a winery. They did a great vegan/garden plate at green olive winery. The lookout was pretty w great trees (the views on the drive up are better than at the lookout point at top). I wish I had taken the cable car up bc it has unobstructed coastal views. The highlight is the beautiful hot springs. Tip. Buy the robe, locker, and 2 towels. Put one towel in your locker so you can dry off before you leave. Your other towel and robe get soaked and cold pretty quickly. Wear flip flops. 3 hours was just the right amount of time there. Our guide Mike was really nice.
Our guide Russell is awesome. He took great care of us and shared a lot of Australian culture and history with us. He was a friendly and entertaining tour guide. I would definitely like to take another tour with him. Thank you localwaytour to have such a great guide. One suggestion is that it would be better if we spend more time in the hot spring. But overall, I enjoyed today's trip.
We had an amazing day with Russell! He is so professional and super Nice! Share a lot of Aus history! Also delicious lunch and relax hot spring
Perfect day out, the food was amazing and the wine tasting was a great experience. Tour guide, Sheldon, was very knowledgeable and made the day complete.
Great day at Mornington peninsula. Perry was a great guide who took us to 4 wineries plus Arthur's Seat look out. Especially liked lunch at Green Olive. Tour went from 10am to about 6.30pm.
Great day visiting wineries on the Peninsula.. also the beautiful views from Arthur’s Seat. Sue was an awesome tour guide sharing information on the area in a relaxed fun manner. Highly recommend
Great small group tour with Ray. Tasty food plates for lunch. Good selection of wines throughout day. I would have preferred to sit down rather than stand for some of tastings, so possibly mention this when booking if this is your preference. Also, to have a nibble with the wine, but this doesn’t seem to be how the wineries do their tastings. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and worth doing.
We had a great tour visiting 4 wineries and the cable car. Couldn't fault the itinerary but the tour driver was a different story.
Local Ways tour company arranged a great itinerary for the day. The wineries that we visited were beautiful and the bus transporting us was very clean and comfortable. Our tour driver was the only disappointing part of our day. I would highly recommend the Company but would not return if I was to have the same driver/tour guide.
Exellenttour with ray who was very knowledgeable indeed various intresting stops very nice lunch plus three other wineries one of which yo pay extra for if you want a tasting all the wines tried were first class as was the lunch ray dropped everyone off were they wanted on the way back and was very obliging
It was a very well organised tour, with extensive tastings at each winery and a wide range of wines. Lunch was also very good. Mike, our guide, confirmed before the tour so we could participate with peace of mind. Mike was a very good guide, very friendly but very courteous to everyone and made a great impression.
