Skyline views of the city were amazing. Staff were polite and helpful! I definitely would recommend.

Itinerary
Get set for liftoff as you enter the Melbourne Skydeck express elevator, which will take you to level 88 in less than 40 seconds! On the Skydeck, be amazed by the panoramic views from the floor-to-ceiling windows that surround you. See Melbourne’s Central Business District, the sports precinct and Port Phillip Bay; if it’s a clear day, your view will extend all the way out to the Dandenong Ranges. Walk through the air lock and go outside to ‘The Terrace.’ Feel the wind rush in your ears as you stand 975 feet (300 meters) above the ground. Grab a pair of high-powered binoculars for up-close views of the city, and watch ‘The Edge’ in action as it projects out from the side of the building.

Staff were welcoming! Very organised! Great views and good coffee shop!
Well worth the trip, if for nothing else than to appreciate the sheer size of Melbourne and see how the city sits alongside the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay. For the more daring, there’s The Edge, a glass cube that extends out from the building. Not for everyone! There’s also a small café if you want to sit for a while, have a drink and simply enjoy the view.
This ticket can be used at any point of the day. My family and I decided to go up for sunset and had some incredible views of the city. Make sure to book in advance because the spots full up!
Ok. Nothing special but not helped by all staff under structure orders not to smile.
Turned up, considered options and decided the basic was fine, paid and ascended. Place wasn't busy, so no problem seeing out of windows. Pretty clear day so could see until mist obscured the view, but town was very clear. Spent some time looking out all sides and had a nice G&T; all very pleasant. Nice staff also. Seemed very good value and happy to recommend.
The view is fantastic from the 88 floors
I visited the SkyDeck after going on a river cruise for which the dock is nearby. I am so very glad I did. Both the free City Circle Tram and the river cruise audios mentioned this and I saw it from the street. Then going up to see the whole city from that view was outstanding. I especially enjoyed being up there at sunset, and on a clear day like we had was inspiring. One of my favorite activities in Melbourne. I loved the whole experience, including the external caged deck. I enjoyed the viewed got a glass of wine and a snack. Was up there for about 1-1.5 hr and it was totally worth it. Edge is where you get in a box that slides in an out and you can see through the glass below. That is an additional ticket and I did not do that. Was not interested. NOTE: - This is so minor and definitely not a deal breaker. I ate at Bar 88 and if you are sitting near there, when it’s dark the reflection of the lights and people show in the windows, so it can be difficult to see the city lights in those areas.
It was a brilliant view of the city at sun set. Worth the money to see it and a great last view of Australia with my friends
Nice view of Melbourne city centre from above. Viewed at nighttime with spectacular city lights. Outdoor terrace also.
You will have to line up (nobody ever tells you) and there will be so many people that you feel that you are in line like at an airport.
Being able to see Melbourne from all angles was awesome. We even saw a rainbow! They also have a bar/cafe at the top with yummy treats.
Awesome view of Melbourne. Friendly staff with very clear isntructions. There were kids & elderly people enjoying the views.
It was a wonderful view and you were able to the whole city from up top. It was a gorgeous day so you were able see a lot.
Well worth the money ,we did the whole experience, Amazing .
Good experience great view must see
We planned on having a few days in Melbourne on our way home to New Zealand from Tasmania. After wandering around Southbank we decided to do the Skydeck which is located on the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower 935feet above the pavement. We chose just the general admission but there are several packages available. The lift takes just 38 seconds to reach the 88th floor and your ears pop on the way up. 360 degree views of the city and beyond. There is a licensed cafe and toilets and lots of spots for photos or just sit and admire the view. You can go outside on to a viewing deck which is fully enclosed with a wire netting. On other tours you can pay to go out on a glass floor. Whilst writing this I found out that if you return within 36hours you can upgrade to a night time viewing for just $10 each so we took advantage of it as our hotel was just across the square. The night time viewing is magical, with the city lights. It's a must do if in Melbourne CBD. A fine day is best and at night with the city lights was amazing.
We enjoyed the skydeck and overlooking the city. The weather was perfect which always helps. Very organized and no long wait.
Whisked to the 88th floor in a merger 38 seconds, wow! The views were breathtaking and not very crowded. Wished that I’d thought ahead and videotaped in the elevator on our way down as we passed each floor.
Had to share the lift with several other families. There were 3 hysterical children who ruined the experience. How cruel to put very young children in this position. I would have loved it if our family of 4 could have been on our own.
This view will save a lot of walking if you’d like to see the city from one spot. Starts at 1200. Well organised, quick to reach the viewing area, great all round views of the city. Recommended.
This was fun, easy to find, was not crowded in afternoon, less than an hour total, great views of Melbourne! Ears will pop on way up!!
We enjoyed the great views from the Melbourne Skydeck. It was fun to get high above the city and see things from a bird's eye view.
Good view to enjoy the city Melbourn!! It was good to visit there sunny and birght day. Strongly recommend.
We went up to the skydeck in three cities: Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne. The view from there is the most impressive. It's interesting to see the movement of the subways and ships.
Bought a general admission ticket for a particular day, but you can't book a particular time. At popular times of day you can spend 1-1.5 hours in the queue, which was much longer than I spent at the top. There were a lot of frustrated people in the queue and we were all saying the same thing - at most attractions like this you would book a particular time slot so you don't spend an age queueing to get in.
Honestly crazy that its a one in one out policy. Why there aren’t time slots so people can organise their days, where as instead you have to stand in the baking sun for an unknown period of time (staff literally told us this) to wait for people to leave one by one. Hundreds in the queue going around the block, people leaving because they don’t want to stand in the sun for a potentially never ending wait time. Some people have limited time to enjoy Melbourne, if thats you - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Amazing panoramic views of the city, with lots of features highlighted through viewing lenses. It's the highest viewing platform in the southern hemisphere!
The skydeck offers the best 360 viewpoint of all views Melbourne, so if you want to truly experience the cityscape from the highest public viewing deck, this is it. During my Wednesday visit there were no queues, and I had bought my general ticket through a booking app which had them $10 cheaper than the official price. Keep in mind Skydeck has some of their own discounts as well as 2 for 1 promos quite regularly, something to keep an eye out for. In terms of activity, there was only one model display on the ground level besides the extra VR experience which I didn't do. The viewing deck has some positives and negatives, the positives were the cleverly designed binoculars focused on one main area. Secondly was the range of seating, most viewing platforms usually don't have much and here they had a lot, but this was also part of the negatives. The reason there were a lot of seats around the place was due to the skydeck being mixed in together with Bar 88, which I thought was ridiculous. You have people trying to appreciate the view, then you have the party people mixed in together all in one. There's a reason why most viewing decks across the world keep the bars/restaurant areas separate from the general deck. Recommend visiting only when they have specials as that's what I think it's truly worth.
It's a bit pricey for what it is, but it seemed worthwhile as an introduction to Melbourne. It gives a good overview of the layout of the city, especially the downtown, and the views are scenic. I had no idea that Melbourne was so close to the ocean - something that a visit here makes very apparent. The ticket was bought online, which was easy to do, and which also gives a slightly reduced price.
Nice experience visiting Skydeck whilst staying in Melbourne. Booked with Klook (good booking experience as always!). Friendly service on entry to Skydeck. Wasn't wowed but still really glad we booked and came (comparing to Skytower in Bangkok which is much better experience). Recommend you do this at least once. 👍
It was a great experience even on a cloudy day. It was drizzly outside, so there was hardly anybody there. That was a bonus. I still was able to get a great photos and great view.
Amazingly fast ride to the top. Far-reaching 360 views. Cafe lunch food available. The gold bees on the wall outside the entrance were a surprise
Well organised and a great experience ! Cloudy but could stiĺ see for miles ! ...great staff attention ....the lift on its own was amazing
The Melbourne Skydeck (formerly Eureka Skydeck) is one of the city’s top attractions, and for good reason. Located on the 88th floor of the Eureka Tower in Southbank, it offers spectacular 360-degree views of Melbourne. The Edge Experience – a glass cube that slides out from the building, suspending you almost 300 metres above the groumd.Inside, the Skydeck is modern, spacious, and well-organised with interactive displays that point out major landmarks. The bar and café area also make it easy to sit back, relax, and take in the views with a drink or snack. Visit just before sunset so you can enjoy the view in daylight, at dusk, and with the city lights.
We had clear skies and good views. There are viewing lenses at intervals, identifying particular landmarks, which is nice. It’s expensive for what it is for families though. The website says the recommended duration is “60 minutes of family fun” but our kids were bored quite quickly. We didn’t do The Edge, as we were worried the waiting times would be too long.
Very expensive. The views were good, but far too many people. The wait for the glass deck was over an hour. The bar seating along the windows makes it even harder to get the best views.
This was really good! Minimal queue, Nice view, there was a silent disco on. Didn’t get any of the extras and don’t think we missed anything important by going that. Round the corner from Southbank Boulevard play space which the kids enjoyed too.
The city views from the Melbourne Skydeck were absolutely insane! We went up at night and were completely mesmerized by the sparkling city lights below. It felt like we were on top of the world.
The Skydeck offers nice views of the city, especially at sunset and at night. We had pre-booked our tickets and there was no line to go up.
Got tickets online, went to the skydeck, there was a 100 person line and we didn’t have the next 3 hours to spend. Tried rebooking and we couldn’t because it was within 3 hours of the booking. Absolute scam, looks like a tourist trap. AVOID.
not so good, the food is very expensive and other people are rude sometimes . . . for the thrill seekers only i think
Enjoyable experience in this great city. So much to see here and the Skydeck gives you a fantastic vista of this stunning city
We booked this experience via Booking.com and received excellent value for money. The lift that takes you up to the viewing area is so fast, but you hardly feel it moving. Its great looking out over the city and spotting landmarks. We noted the festival on the Yarra that we visited that evening. The docklands, MCG and further afield are all within sight. We visited on a clear day wich was a bonus. There is a food counter up there along with a gift shop. There is also a gift shop at the bottom as you exit the building. Well worth a visit.
My wife and I visited the Eureka Skydeck as part of a booked shore excursion from a cruise ship docked for the day in Melbourne. I am a keen photographer and was looking forward to snapping some good photos from the elevated viewpoint. While the morning atmosphere of Melbourne was not perfect for photography, it was improving and I was able to take many good quality photos of locations such as the MCG, Prince Albert Park and other views, including our cruise ship docked at Station Pier, some considerable distance away. We did not have time to sample the refreshments on sale there but made use of the (limited) facilities. Highly recommended.
On a clear day u get great views of Melb, worth searching for deals as it is not cheap. Plan to go on sunset if possible
Just a short stay in Melbourne so decided to take the elevator up to 88th floor and get a full 360 degree view of the city and suburbs before exploring some on foot!!
I chose to experience this, mainly to try to overcome my fear of heights. Very much enjoyed the experience and hadn’t laughed so much in a long time
If you buy a ticket the internet a few dollars cheaper than at the tower. It was fun to go up and extra thrilled to do the glass room, of course, you have to pay extra $$ but once your lifetime...is worthy of life journey. The picture was extra $$ too My girlfriend and I had a blast time at the Eureka tower
Excellent panoramic views of the city and surrounding areas. The cage is awesome and not to be missed. Good value
