Tony was a great tour guide. Running through the city while explaining the history and answering all of my questions. I highly recommend this tour. A great way to see the beautiful city.

Thanks. I went with my non-running teen daughter and it was one of her highlights of the trip; chillly, architecture, history, culture and stories of Melbourne. Hits the highlights and got in some exercise.. who knows she may become a runner after all. Appreciate the memorable morning.
Such a fun time running with Matt and knowing about major landmarks and the history of Melbourne. Learnt a lot about the heritage bhuildings. Matt maintained a running pace that suited us and kept up the information with his lovely sense of humour. A great way to know the city!
What a great way to see the hidden treasures of downtown Melbourne and get a 'running commentary' 😁. My guide Matt was a font of knowledge and a great running partner. I thoroughly recommend Running Tours as a fantastic way to experience Melbourne. And then there was the Donuts and Coffee....amazing.
I had a great running tour with Tim, he was knowledgable and happy to run at my pace whilst taking great pictures. The tour was perfect for a quick trip to Melbourne as we saw all the sights and finished with a lovely coffee. Definitely recommend if you like running
Solo traveler from the US. I happened to be the only runner for the tour of the day so Tony my tour guide catered the day's run to my needs and wants. We stopped and took pictures quite often, then ran in between places. The pace was very doable, but Tony beat me in the game of endurance (not quite in cardio shape as him, but he let me walk quite often too). Would definitely do it with a friend if I come back! Tony showed me the best parts of the city and introduced me to some great places to explore further on my own. He also took a detour from the original path for me since I wanted to see the Queen Victoria market, then led me back on the tour. Very personable, the running tour made my day a great one! Thank you Tony!
Wow!!! What a great way to see Melbourne. I learnt a lot and saw things I never knew existed. Matty was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was such an enjoyable morning and I highly recommend this running tour to everyone.
Really fun morning exploring Melbourne with Matty as our tour guide. He had great knowledge of the history of Melbourne and the laneways artists. Highly recommend if you are a resident of Melbourne or visiting this beautiful city.
This was a fun experience. Matty was very considerate and looked after our group. We learned many interesting historical facts about the city on the run. A nice surprise was that we stopped for donuts halfway through at an amazing place called “Short Stop”. We saw many different laneways which i have not seen before and even saw the inside of the Manchester Unity building - an interesting site that I have seen many times but never bothered to go in to. I can recommend this tour wholeheartedly to anyone who is a local or a tourist. The tour concludes nicely with a coffee in Degraves street. Total tour time is around 2 hours. Pace is based on your ability so don’t be put off by this being a “run”.
After a week of business travel I had some extra time and booked the Laneway Discovery Running Tour. Highly recommend! My guide was friendly and informative and I got to see parts of Melbourne I would've otherwise walked right by.
Great tour with Tim, fantastic way to get to know the city. Good mix between running and time to learn more about the buildings and take photos.
Such a great day! I can’t believe I have lived in Melbourne and still never seen the laneways. Matt was a great guide, fun, down to earth and dealt with my mediocre running skills. Thanks for a great day!! Would recommend
I was only in Melbourne for a couple of days and it had been many years since my last visit. The laneways tour was a great way to quickly get acquainted with the city, while exercising at the same time. Tim was an excellent guide-knowledgeable and friendly. I got an overview of all the main Melbourne attractions and was able to take my family back to the things I wanted to see in more detail. I loved the fact that I only booked the tour the day before and was still accommodated. The pace was great for running and chatting and the photos were a great momento of the tour. I have already recommended this tour to my running friends.
I've lived in Melbourne for more than half my life and yet I still learned so much about the city I call home during the Laneways Discovery Tour! The artwork, of course, was great, but there was so much more - the history of Melbourne was brought to life for us! Buildings were no longer just bricks and mortar, our guide took us back in time to demonstrate how they were integral parts of the rich cultural heritage of the area that has always been there but I was previously unaware of. Did I need to be a decent runner? No ...not at all! The pace was relaxed and there were plenty of stops along the way to take it all in! Can't wait to join in another one soon!
It was great to start my day early with this running tour:) Thanks to my guide Tim, I saw lots of beautiful places in Melbourne as well as the hidden lane ways and unique street arts. Pace was good and the coffee at the end was really delicious. I recommend this tour for anyone visiting Melbourne who wants to learn and see more about the city from the local!
Had an absolute blast running the laneways of Melbourne with our tour guide Matt. Matt is very knowledgeable about the history of Melbourne and the best places to get coffee and of course donuts . Booking a tour was simple and easy and the information on how to arrive at the starting destination were spot on. Such an awesome thing to do even if just visiting Melbourne or if you live here .
We ran as a group in the Coffee & Donuts tour on one fine Saturday morning. We were tourists in our home city, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that! There was much to see and learn about the history of Melbourne; the buildings, alleyways, the famous street art and a lot of hidden gems that we weren't aware of. We ran at a very relaxed pace, and had ample time to explore and observe each location, as well as to take many happy snaps. The tour took around 2 hours. Plenty of walks and breaks, means anyone of any fitness level can do this. To top it all off, we were treated to some delicious and fancy donuts and coffee along the way. Running tours is a really neat concept to see and learn about our wonderful city in a fun and unique perspective. Whether you're visiting Melbourne, or live locally, I highly recommend doing it! Many thanks to our very knowledgeable tour guide Matt for looking after us and ensured that we all had an amazing experience! Will have to come back some day to do some of the other tours on offer!
This was a fabulous city tour with two knowledgeable running guides! Strongly recommended to learn wonderful trivia about the city!!!
Thankyou to the team for organising, at short notice, a personalised experience for me whilst in Melbourne for a conference. With my engaging, knowledgeable guide, I visited many landmarks, and some hidden gems, and had a great workout to boot! I really enjoyed it.
So much better than being stuck in a tour bus on a beautiful sunny morning in Melbourne! Thank you Matt for 2 hours of easy running, walking & exploring Melbourne. This is a great way to do your weekend (semi) long run while discovering the hidden gems around the Melbourne CBD, with coffee and donuts included. And who doesn't love donuts, right?!? Matt was very knowledgeable and kept the tour very interesting and fun throughout. He was very accommodating to our running/walking pace and our interests. I loved discovering the hidden laneways full of street art, and running through Old Melbourne Goal which I've driven past hundreds of times. For tourists to Melbourne - highly recommended, get out of that tour bus. For Melbournians - discover your city, you'll see and learn lots of cool stuff that you didn't know was here all along.
Very interesting run through the historical sites and parks. Visit around special lanes with different stylish street painting.
I had the opportunity to run along Tim for a 2hours long tour of the city this morning. Tim was an excellent and friendly guide who provided great insights about the city and its history. Not to mention the nice suggestions for photography opportunities :-) If you worry about your fitness suitability for this trip - you most probably don't have to, as the 8km trip is completed almost effortlessly thanks to a well-picked track, regular (lane-crossing) stops and great chatting sessions with your guide. These tours probably represent the very best way to visit the city thanks to the pace of the tour which allows you to visit twice as much locations and places than you would possibly do on a regular "walking" tour. Highly recommend! Yannick
Interesting tour of the laneways of Melbourne - learn new things along the way. Loved discovering the restaurants and bars hidden in the lane ways with Graffiti art - AC/DC lane, Hosier etc We chose to walk which was great.
I was given a gift-voucher to use and the laneways of Melbourne are renowned for their quirkiness and incredible art. Matt was exceptionally knowledgeable and kept an entertaining flow of commentary for the whole tour with lots of interesting facts and funny anecdotes. Well worth doing, looking forward to hopefully trying some of the other tours on offer!
This was a great way for a traveler to get exposure to Melbourne and also learn the history of the city. Matt provides a great explanation for everything and the importance of each site. Some of the stops that we hit on the run were the South Bank, Immigration Museum, Melbourne Library, Old Melbourne Gaol, AC/DC Lane, and Hosier Lane. Great tour and would recommend to anyone!
I'd just moved to Melbourne with my partner and she decided to combine get me this as a welcome to the city present. We had the pleasure of Tom's company, young but very knowledgeable about the city. We saw Yarra River, lots of historic sites, all the laneways and also discovered some great food/drink places to try later. We had also done a walking tour a day earlier and whilst some stuff would be repeated, we did see a lot of things we hadn't seen before. There was additionally a lot of photos taken and they have made very good profile pictures. Over the course of the morning Tom made us feel very welcome and adapted to our pace/fitness levels.

Andrew really enjoyed his run and the interesting way Matt explained the History of the Melbourne area.
