Catherine was a fantastic tour guide, sharing plenty of interesting stories from her time as a driver for the Australian Open. It was great to see the preparations underway for the upcoming tournament, with access to Show Court 3 and Kia Arena. Of course, the best part was getting to have a hit on the practice courts at the National Tennis Centre before concluding the tour just inside the MCG.

It was great and insightful. Loved being able to play tennis on the blue practice courts

Communications with organisers was excellent. Meeting instructions very clear. Michael, our guide, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining.
Lots of walking. Do not go inside enclosed stadiums except MCG. Lots of personal knowledge and interaction stories from leader.
It is pretty good and thanks for sharing all the background knowlege. Hope that there are some players and athlete retired sharing their story of the court.
Terri was great guide. It’s perfect experience for tennis lovers.
This tour was awesome!! The tour guide Michael was very knowledgeable and informative of the MCG and Rod Laver Arena, along with surrounds.
As tennis enthusiasts, this was definitely a must do! Quite an experience to be able to play where the Australian Open happens. Michael, our guide, is knoweldgeable and is warm. The entire tour was worth the money.
I highly recommend this tour. Ben our tour guide made us feel welcome and was very knowledgeable. We had booked court hire also and unfortunately it rained the whole time so Ben kindly offered for us to do the stadium tour.
We had such a wonderful experience on this tour. Ben (our guide) has a wealth of knowledge about all types of sports. His impressive background and credentials really add to the experience. He was engaging, informative and made the tour enjoyable for everyone. So glad we did this tour and would definitely recommend it!
Ben had great personal stories and worldly knowledge about tennis, football and cricket. Truly passionate for his hometown of Melbourne. Walking tour with several stops. Moderate distance.
I was hoping for a bit more tennis themed and maybe a hat or a ball or token of some description. And to play on one of the outlying courts for the price
Catherine was really good with us, she is very passionate about her job and you can see that. I think the price is a little bit too expensive for the tour but still is great, more if you are a tennis fan.
"An interesting tour of Melbourne's sports facilities with a nice and very explanatory guide. Unforgettable the opportunity to play tennis on the famous blue courts!"
I can highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves sports, and especially to tennis fans. The pickup at the agreed meeting point (near Transport Hotel) worked smoothly and without any problems. Together with our guide Ben, we were able to visit all the major sports venues in Melbourne Park. We even had the opportunity to play tennis on the public courts near Rod Laver Arena, which have a deep-blue surface. Afterwards, we had a short group photo shoot in the Kia-Arena. Unfortunately, it was not possible to visit the inside of Rod Laver Arena, as it is a multi-purpose venue rather than a dedicated tennis stadium. We then continued to the former Olympic site, where we learned a great deal about Australian sports, particularly Australian Football. The tour ended at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Our guide knew a lot about each of the sports venues and provided us with plenty of interesting information and background. Thank you for this amazing experience.
What an amazing experience ! Michael was the best .
This was a great your, and good alternative way to see and learn more about Melbourne beyond what typical tours give. Our guide was great and very informative. The only feedback is give is the description could be more clear - this tour includes a fair amount of time playing on the courts and it doesn't include a tour inside the rod laver arena.
An amazing experience for tennis fans and even non tennis fans ! Michael was a great guide who made things fun. Thank you !
Would definitely recommend this tour thoroughly enjoyed it and the tour guide was fantastic
Had a great tour being shown around Melbourne Park, our guide was fantastic he was so knowledgeable would definitely recommend you do this tour when in Melbourne
Cool tour, guide was super. We were lucky to have the tour on our own
It was a lovely walk but why not meet at the Tennis precinct. What if it’s wet.? Greg the guide was great. As a local, showing off to my German tennis mad niece, I was disappointed that we did not get into the venues or stand on the courts. We did have a bit of fun hitting a ball on the outside courts.
WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Our tour guide. Ben was wonderful! This tour is a huge bang for your buck! We had a great time touring the various sporting grounds and the time at the Australian open was beyond what we had hoped for! Getting to play on the tennis courts with the experience of a lifetime! Ben did not rush us and we had the best time! 10 out of 10 recommend this tour!
Our Guide (Cathy I believe but I am very Bad with namens) was Great. She had so many Stories to Tell and answered every question we asked. Also the tennis playing Part was Great! Would definitively recommend it
We had a lifetime experience in Melbourne! Our guide Michael is a super thoughtful and knowledgeable, he told us the Melbourne history and stories for many kinds of sports here. We got chances to see nearly every courts, and played tennis in the actual AO courts is an unforgettable memories. Michael also shares his experience attending the AO, we learned so much and can't wait to next trip to AO. Moreover, Michael taught us how to play Australian football, which is a brand new sport experience for us, and it is so special and fun. Thank you Michael, you made our Melbourne trip greater!!
Good experience. Very knowledgeable guide and well organized tour schedule.
Great Experience and Cathy was a fantastic knowledgeable guide - Different experience being in the complex when it's so empty and a bucket list tick to be able to play on the courts. Maybe include access to behind the scenes of RLA i.e. dressing rooms, walk of champions etc in the tour. Great Tour would recommend.
Ben was an amazing guide – knowledgeable, funny, and very interactive. His passion for Australian sports really shone through, and he shared many fascinating behind-the-scenes stories and little-known facts about the Australian Open, including his own experiences working at the event. A real highlight was getting to try different sporting gadgets and enjoy a genuine tennis experience at Melbourne Park. The only minor downside was the weather, which unfortunately limited our on-court time. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne, especially tennis fans!

Peter gave us great explanations on the various sports and the venues Getting to play on some of the courts was fun Great for kids
A great tour & a must for all tennis & sports fans. Ben our tour guide was so engaging & knowledgeable. It was amazing walking around the grounds of Melbourne Park, home of the AO & getting to have a hit on a court. A real pinch me moment. Walking around the impressive MCG was icing on the cake. Thoroughly recommend this tour.
Cathy my tour guide was absolutely 💯 GREAT Fantastic, perfect, brilliant person, very knowledgeable, funny, helpful. Great hearing Cathy stories i enjoy alot. Fulfilling a lifetime ambition playing on a practice tennis court at Melbourne park. Very highly recommended you will not be disappointed. THANK YOU VERY MUCH CATHY I WISH YOU HEALTH, WEALTH HAPPINESS IN YOUR LIFE.
This tour provides a thorough overview of Melbourne Park. Not just the tennis, but history of its development and other venues within the area.
Ben was an amazing guide whom had heaps of knowledge of the entire melbourne park and being tennis fans ourselves, he gave further insights into the history of the majors and also AO. highly recommended to go on this tour as you get to play on one of their courts as well :)
I had such a great time! I’m a sports fan and this tour isn’t only about the Australian Open, it includes the whole Melbourne Park with all its sports and history. And I found it so fun and interesting! The highlight is that you get to play tennis on the blue courts of course. And our guide was a very good photographer too 😄
Great tour. Extremely informative. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun.
I had a great experience on this tour. For one, I'm not really a tennis fan, but this tour helped me get an appreciation of the game and enjoy playing it. Our guide was very informative and went out of their way to explain the various bits of interesting history of the game and locations. All in all would highly recommend even if you, like me, aren't a huge tennis fan
Our guide Ben was full of knowledge. We had a great time wandering around the tennis centre and looking at it at a different view as there were no crowds. We had a game of tennis on one of the practice courts. We got to watch the Collingwood football team practice. We also got to go in and view the cricket ground. Definitely a fantastic tour . Thanks Ben 🤗
I just spent two weeks in Australia and New Zealand and this tour was most definitely one of the highlights. A huge shout out to our guide Michael! He taught us so much about Melbourne's rich sports history and this tour hit all the major highlights. First, touring Melbourne Park was the completion of my Grand Slam bucket list. I've now been to all four major venues. I must say- getting the chance to play on these courts was a dream come true. It was also fun talking about tennis with Michael. We discovered we share mutual admiration for some players and we vehemently disagree about some others (LOL!) It's going to be fun keeping in touch with him and poking that bear. Plus, Michael introduced us to Australian Rules Football. I'm now completely obsessed with that sport. I am currently trying to figure out how I am going to keep up with it and watch it here in the U.S. Michael made his case for the Collingwood Magpies and I am on board. Consider me part of the fan base!! #GoPies I have to tell you. I am a HUGE sports fan. However, my traveling partner David is not. That said, he really liked the tour as well. All of that credit goes to Michael. His enthusiasm and knowledge were contagious. After we left Melbourne, David said, "I enjoyed that way more than I thought I was going to." This is a phenomenal experience. If you're a tennis fan, BOOK IT! If you're an Olympic fan, BOOK IT! And, if you have room in your man cave and your heart for another sport to love (i.e. Australian Rules Football), BOOK IT!
Really cool to see all the grounds and Terri was an amazing guide! He shared so many interesting facts!
I had an amazing tour on March 12! Cathy was a great tour guide. She shared interesting stories about the different sports and really made the tour complete. We visited some beautiful spots for great photos. I had a wonderful tour!
Amazing tour - perfect for all fans of the Australian Open!
Excellent once in a lifetime experience Our tour guide Catherine was very well informed and passionate about her work . We had fun and memorable experience . Totally recommend to tennis lovers
Ben was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and passionate about Melbourne and our love of sport! Our friends from Switzerland absolutely loved the tour and playing on the training AO courts. We learnt so much and really enjoyed the experience Thanks Ben.
Our guide took us to the holy grounds of tennis, which was a very special experience. He gave us lots of background info from his extensive experience with the tournament and the players. Would recommend it to anybody, even non-tennis fans will have a blast!
Great experience and highly recommend Ben who is very knowledgeable and passionate. We learnt a lot about the city and history of sports/tennis from him.
I personally was impressed with your knowledge as it flowed naturally rather than facts and figures. This made my experience feel more individual as I noticed you appeared able to do this for each person. For 30 years we have managed up market lodges so I understand detail and making a tour feel personal. Thank you
I would first like to express my sincere appreciation for our guide, Ben. He was very dedicated and professional. Due to a sudden schedule change, he went above and beyond to notify all group members and ensure everyone was informed and coordinated, which was highly commendable. However, compared to my previous experiences with official tours at other Grand Slam venues or major sports stadiums, I must admit this tour fell short of my expectations. The overall experience did not feel as official or immersive as anticipated. Specifically, I have the following observations: 1)Having attended the Australian Open before, I had expected the tour to provide deeper access to iconic and functional areas of the venue. For example, I hoped to see the main arena (Rod Laver Arena), player locker rooms, player tunnels, and the media interview room. Instead, the access felt limited—we only entered the KIA Arena and what appeared to be an unused or secondary court. The experience lacked the "behind-the-scenes" feel and was not as immersive as I had hoped. 2)The one-hour tennis playing session was a great idea and enjoyable. However, it was held at the National Tennis Centre, which felt disconnected from the main Melbourne Park location. This created a sense of fragmentation in the tour's narrative and geography. 3)The tour was advertised as 2.5 hours long, but the actual content related to the Australian Open and the iconic aspects of Melbourne Park felt insufficient. A larger portion of the time could be dedicated to exploring the history, operations, and exclusive areas of the main complex to enhance the value proposition.
Ben took us on a lovely walking tour of Melbourne’s sports precinct. We learned so much about the city’s love of sports, accessibility for all citizens and the unique proximity of sports venues to the city center. We walked throughout the AO tennis grounds and played tennis on the blue courts! I particularly enjoyed learning about Australian Rules football on the practice grounds and entering the huge MCG. Ben was a great storyteller; I loved learning more about the Aussie tennis players. All around great tour for sports enthusiasts!
