This was such a fun experience! Luke creates an intimate and engaging performance that is lighthearted, entertaining, and incredibly impressive. Watching the tricks up close had me on the edge of my seat, grinning from ear to ear throughout the entire show. Impossible Occurrences is fantastic value for money and suitable for all ages. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something different, entertaining, and fun to do for a night out!

It was brilliant. Absolutely amazing illusions and tricks. Some were simply mindblowing. Luke was charming, funny and very professional. He made everybody feel very comfortable to participate. A great performance that nobody coukd be disappointed in.

Incredibly fun and entertaining show...even our teen guests loved it and kept messaging each other "how did he do that?" after the show...now they want to be magicians! Ha!

Had been wanting to go this for a while as had heard good things. We finally got there for the 7.30 show and were not disappointed. Great location at the Marriott on Exhibition St where you can get food and drink prior to the show. Our show was full with about 75 people in the room sitting in 4 rows. The show was amazing with lots of audience engagement. We really liked how the children in the audience were involved - they were all stoked. Highly recommend if you are in the city on a Friday night.

Luke is exceptional at what he does—it's magic! He expertly entertains the entire crowd throughout the show, encouraging participation both directly and indirectly. The tricks are specifically designed to involve every audience member. Luke is truly an excellent entertainer and a master of his trade. Thank you, Luke, for an unforgettable 80-minute magic presentation that simply breezed by. Highly recommending it!

My 23 yr old daughter came home from a night out with her boyfriend, that was so fun & so exceptional, they spent the next hour telling us about it. About every trick & every detail of an amazing magic show. A few weeks later I decide to take my husband on a date night too & go see this master of up close illusion myself. Luke is a seasoned performer who delivers his magic with gentle wit & family friendly commentary. He engages with the audience & brings the magic to you. He has the audience actively participate, which makes the evening so much fun. When we got home, my daughter asked about our evening and I told her about some of the magic we particularly enjoyed. Some of it was different from the magic she saw, which means Luke works to keep his show new & fresh. I’m planning on gifting a night out to see Luke perform for my nieces as their Christmas present. And maybe do a girls night out.

Awesome experience, quality show and a great magician! Enjoy this with my partner and grandparents. We all loved it. Plenty of audience participation and some interactive tricks that everyone could take part in. 10/10. Can’t believe I hadn’t done this in Melbourne before. Will be back 😃

Luke is absolutely amazing, funny, entertaining and gifted. I would definitely recommend this show. The venue was great, and a smaller audience enhanced the experience.

Brilliant! Book in advance, suspend your disbelief, travel back in time with luke. Pure entertainment, we went in a family group but plenty of couples, younger singles groups there, luke able to manage and entertwin them all. Promotion says suitable for 10 and above but we went with a mature 7 year old and he loved it. Not sure he "tricked" luke when he was called up to the stage and said he was 10 though 🤣 but 100% recommend - great show.

A fun wholesome night ,our group of four adults all agreed a good time was had,would see Luke again if we had the chance

Where to start? Well, Luke lives right up to the reputation generated in the comments here and is an excellent host. You will surely be entertained, laugh and be amazed many times over. There are echoes of late 19th and early 20th century forebears in what soon immerses you into a masterfully weaved show that deserves its name. It’s easy to go into this feeling a little sceptical. In fact, that worked out well as that turns to wonderment and then well beyond that by the end. We did this as a group of 4 adults and went to dinner at the Marriott Hotel prior, using the package deal. This was $80 for 2 adult people, including a 2 course dinner each and a bottle of wine. Service was also magically fast with dinner. I thought it was excellent value and would recommend. We stayed across the road at the GC and it was great luck that this show happened to be so close by. Melbourne Central is the next block if you travel by rail. Otherwise you could get a tram up from Flinders Station and get off near Lonsdale or walk up, depending on your situation.

A captivating show that was above expectation. Ensure you book well ahead as there are only 2 shows on a Friday night each week. Plenty of dignified audience participation and interaction. The room was small but everyone could see easily. Highly recommend this entertaining show even for children as language was suitable for all ages.

Wow! What an incredible show! I absolutely loved every minute of it. The performance was top-notch, earning an A+ in my book, and the audience participation was outstanding. Not only was it highly entertaining, but also incredibly funny. I would enthusiastically recommend this show to everyone—I'm already spreading the word. At the end, he graciously allowed photos without any extra charge, and he came across as a genuinely lovely person, thanking everyone for their time. It made for a perfect date night, and the trip into the city was totally worth it. Before the show, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Yamato Japanese Restaurant on 223 Exhibition St, which was excellent. Though next time, I think trying the dinner at the Marriott for the full experience might be a great idea—it looked really inviting.

I’m not into magic but this is different! Everyone should see it with their family. The enjoyment you’ll experience is nothing compared to the cost of the ticket. Melbourne should have more shows in this category - fun & not costly!

Exceptional 2 course dinner and show package offered by Marriott. Included a good bottle of wine for 2 people. Choice of 4 meals across entree, main and dessert. Excellent service and food. Show suitable for young children with Luke engaging all attending. He is very talented and entertaining and we were amazed by what he did. A great night’s entertainment and we left with smiles on our faces. Great value at $83 for meal and show and a fantastic night out.

Great 80mins. Kept entertained and amazed! Very interactive. Luke includes numerous members of the audience and remembers everyone’s name, so by the end of the performance you feel part of a group that experienced the impossible together.

If you’ve never been to a magic show, this is a great start. Our experience comprised 90 minutes of thoroughly entertaining, fast-paced, and light-hearted illusions and sleight of hand tricks as well as some very dexterous card-handling. There was nothing scary or risky until the last act and it all ended well!

Absolutely brilliant. Everyone's seen magic tricks performed on the TV, but this was on another (stratospheric) level. The tricks were amazing, and so much better watching live and up close. I've learnt a few magic tricks but I have no idea how he did any of them! There was a huge range of different tricks too. Luke's performance was all light hearted, humourous and entertaining from the first to last minute. The tricks he did with a Rubik's cube....how on earth??? I was literally stunned!

Very clever , intriguing, his trick are fast coming. My daughter (young adult) & I attended the show it was full of fun and great value too.

Luke Hocking puts on a HIGHLY entertaining show! He is an absolutely fantastic magician and a great showman too. Add a 2 or 3 course meal as a package (we did the show with a 2 course meal at the Marriott for just $85 each). Most of the shows are on a Friday night but some are on a Saturday night. We did the 7.30 show but there was also a 9.30 one. Absolutely loved it. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for an awesome night out! We had a drink at the bar first as we got there early.

I booked this show as it looked interesting amongst the list of Red Balloon experiences that I could choose from with a voucher I’d been given. My husband and I NEVER get to leave the burbs and head in to the city for a date night, so we were looking forward to a fun night out. It was quickly apparent that Luke is extremely talented, hilarious and charming. His magic was mind blowing, equally impressive was his ability to remember the names of half the audience throughout the night. There is a LOT of audience participation and my introverted husband, who is usually extremely anti-participation, was called up, but no one was ridiculed or made to look silly so it wasn’t a problem. Introverts…..don’t be scared or put off. Luke said at the start that any participation will be a pleasant experience and we felt that it really was. The audience participation and the fact that Luke used so many people’s names, along with the small room & close-up seating plan, made for a really intimate and personal show. Didn’t stop smiling the whole time. Wonderful, amazing, fun date night. Thanks Luke!

We are in our late 20’s and wanted to do something spontaneous in Melbourne. We didn’t really know what to expect with it’s, trip advisor only, reviews.. But this was truly magnificent and one of the best shows i’v ever attended. I loved the intimate setting and Luke’s showmanship and ability to entertain a crowd was like nothing I had ever seen before. (And a true talent in itself). Intimate, interactive and some jaw dropping stuff. You won’t regret it - HIGHLY recommend.

It was held in a ballroom with less than 70pax, so it was an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. Great seating arrangement and you get to be up close and personal to all the magic and mystery. Luke left us shocked and amazed with his skills and showmanship. Well worth the money and time. Highly recommended!
