Great way to see the Melbourne CBD sites! Got off the plane from US and jumped right into the tour! As first time visitors, we found Ondrej informative, interesting and truly knowledgeable of the area and its points of interest. Great way to quickly learn about Melbourne. Highly recommend,
Must be able to walk a lot! Received great first day overview of the area and history of Melbourne. Very interesting.
We had the best walking tour in Melbourne with Ondrej Foltin. He was very knowledgeable, professional and funny! We covered most of Melbourne, and his guidance, referrals and tips set us up to navigate the rest of our time there! Thank you Ondrej. 5 star
Rhonda was a delightful guide. Shortly after we were matched with her she reached out and even helped shape our itinerary. Rhonda is friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a better understanding of the history of Melbourne and its landmarks. We especially loved that she helped us feel more comfortable navigating by foot and tram. She went out of her way to give us food and drink recommendations. It was an absolutely perfect introduction to the city. If you have been matched with Rhonda, consider yourself lucky 😊
Karla was fantastic. She communicated well pre tour and was promptly on time and very welcome ! She had a very nice walking tour plan for us and had education all along the way. A good mix of history and local vibe! We enjoyed so much and, she had time, to extend our tour a bit to see more!
Rhonda was an amazing tour guide! She was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable throughout the entire walking tour. She never rushed us and gave everyone plenty of time to enjoy each stop, take photos, and ask questions. Her explanations were detailed, interesting, and easy to follow, making the history and culture come alive. We truly appreciated her friendly personality and the care she put into making sure everyone had a great experience. I would highly recommend this tour with Rhonda to anyone visiting Australia. Thank you for such a wonderful day!
This was a great way to experience Melbourne for the first time. It was a wealth of information and fun facts, lots of walking and interesting buildings and an extra fun excursion thrown in at the end of our tour.
We really enjoyed our walking tour of Melbourne’s CBD with Karla. She gave us an overview of the main highlights, along with hidden shops and sights that only a local would know about. She was friendly and engaging, and we had a great time chatting with her throughout the tour. It was a fantastic way to make the most of our short time in Melbourne, and her recommendations for further exploring the city afterward were very helpful.
Ondrej is an experienced guide and local Melbournian, and his walking tour of the CBD shows it. We hit all the high points in 3 hours time, with all the local color only a former journalist could provide. This morning or afternoon walk though the CBD is also a great way to get your bearings, if you are new to the city. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/UserReviewEdit-g255100-d14199409-Private_Tour_Guide_Melbourne_with_a_Local_Kickstart_your_Trip_Personalized-Melbourne_Victor.html
Rhonda was fun knowledgeable and shared her love for her home city! We learned the history. Saw the highlights and a few hidden gems. Just delightful!
What a fantastic day!!Alison was very knowledgeable and personable. We learned a lot about the history of Melbourne and the food scene! We saw a lot in 3 hours and she helped us get a reservation at Gimlet during the busiest weekend with the GP in town. I highly recommend Alison and would love to visit Melbourne again! Thanks for a great tour.
What a wonderful city, and what a fantastic tour guide in Michael! He met us at the tour port, and used the public transportation system to show us EVERYTHING! From the F1 track to the seashore to the entire downtown area...it was fantastic. The tour was much longer than 3 hours, thanks to Michael wanting to show us his city. And what a beautiful city it is. I wish it wasn't halfway around the world, or we would visit more often! But Michael made the tour. Friendly, knowledgeable, always willing to answer our questions - he was the consummate professional. And he was more than willing and helpful when it came to help push my wife around in her wheelchair (she got hurt on the cruise ship), so she missed none of the tour that Michael hosted. All in all, a great day and a great host showing us a fantastic city. Highly recommend!
Ondrej did a wonderful job showing us the city! It was a great introduction to the city and a fun way to spend the afternoon! Highly recommend!
Rhonda was an excellent guide. A great way to experience Melbourne. She was very knowledgeable & shared lovely stories about the history. Highly recommended.
The tour was truly amazing and we covered a lot of ground – saw a lot – learned a lot and experienced a lot as well. Rhonda did a terrific job and on top of this she deserve to be acknowledged for all she did that goes well beyond the call of duty. The extra personal communication before the trip to get to know each other and what we were expecting. She non only planned the day to make sure we had a great experience AND her follow up letter to share with us what we did that day and where we went. This was truly wonderful and perhaps the most thoughtful tour we have ever had. She even gave us some nice parting gifts of books and Australian skin cream. nice ! !
Great tour even though it was very hot! Rhonda was warm and accommodating.
Cherida’s tour was a highlight of our visit to Melbourne. She reached out with a proposed itinerary, then customized it to our interests, which made it a special experience. We learned much about the history of Melbourne, some of the important people who helped shape it, and visited some beautiful, historic buildings (don’t miss the State Library!). We saw some laneways and arcades, and ended at the Queen Victoria Market. Highly recommend Cherida’s tour.
A fantastic experience, went to lots of places we wouldn’t have gone to or would have found. A great pace of looking at things. Highly recommend Rhonda
We loved Maeve! She showed us a variety of places and was very well-educated on the sites we visited. She obviously has a love of Melbourne. She has also been very helpful in recommending places to eat, get dessert, etc.
Our guide, Rhonda, was amazing. She knew so much about Melbourne and took us to all parts of the city. She was professional, personable and knowledgable. Very highly recommend her. We had so much fun! Plus she communicated well via email prior to the tour.
This was a great way to unwind after our long flight and get some fresh air as we explored Melbourne. Mike was a great guide- friendly, knowledgeable, and tuned in to our level of energy and interests. Highly recommend.
Ondrej spent four wonderful hours with us, showing us the city and giving us a real feel for Melbourne, not glossing over anything. It was truly an amazing experience. We saw some amazing street art and artists and toured the market, drank some wonderful coffee and ate some fantastic pastries. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Melbourne.
Really enjoyed my two days with Ondrej in Melbourne. Great introduction to the great city by someone who really loves it.
I am so excited to have found City Unscripted! I can’t believe we had a dedicated, local tour guide for such an affordable price. They have you complete a questionnaire to match up your interests. Our guide, Cherida, was wonderful. She provided a great walking overview of the city for us. It felt like we were touring with a friend. I highly recommend her! Warm, friendly and she even let us use her department store coupon for some shopping! We got a great feel for the city and even stopped for tea and fresh oysters. I will be looking for City Unscripted on all my new cities I visit!
Really great walking tour with a good introduction to Brisbane history and culture. Our guide Nicole was very knowledgeable as well as friendly and really pulled the small group together so it was like walking with a group of friends. Right pace and lovely ending in the river. Thoroughly recommend this to others!
Ondrej was a great host and really tailored the experience to our interests. He gave us great tips on how to get around the city as well.
Mike was excellent in this walking tour. His innate knowledge of the city of Melbourne is exceptional, He took the time to map out a great route and offered flexibility along the way, Enjoyed his easy going and fun demeanor. Overall, a great introduction to Australia for us and especially Melbourne!
Rhonda was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. I had a very pleasant time with her. She even showed me how to get on the train to get back to my hotel and waited with me to board. I appreciate all the care she took to assure that I had a good experience.
Very interesting to book with City Unscripted, our first time. Love the idea of being guided by a local and ask questions about current events, places to go, and what we're seeing around town. Our guide, Rhonda, did a great job taking us to see the interesting parts of Melbourne and answering our questions. Very nice follow-up afterword with an email on hiking, attractions, and restaurants for the rest of our stay.
Excellent introduction to Melbourne. I’ve visited before but not spent time wandering around the City. Ondrej showed us lots of places I wouldn’t have found. The National Gallery was interesting. We know lots of places/areas where we can go for dinner.
Our guide, Ondrej, was a local who was seriously steeped in Melbourne history and culture. We covered major sights and little known ones. We walked all over the city, exploring areas of interest to us. Great experience!
Maeve was amazing. Great communication, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable about the city of Melbourne both past and present. I told her she should have been a historian. Consummate professional. I would recommend her to anyone visiting the city.
Emma took us on a three hour walking tour in Melbourne commercial district. She met us at our hotel. She was very pleasant and friendly. She maintained a comfortable pace. She was well informed and flexible.
Our guide met us at the port. Guided us into the city.then took us on a 3 hr tour slow and easy as he gave us wonderful insights into Melbourne. We really learned a lot and had plenty of time.
Chris was a great guide - he showed us around the city center for more than 3 hours and was very engaging. Would recommend!
First there was major confusion about where we were meeting even though we were going to the location of our TripAdvisor confirmation. Next our tour guide was French and had only lived in Melbourne for 2 years. He had a heavy French accent that was very hard to understand at times. He kept asking us questions about Melbourne and wanting us to guess the answer? He was obsessed with getting us our card for the tram even though we told him repeatedly that we would take care of it ourselves. We ended the tour an hour early.
Michael made this experience. The history and architecture as well as some shopping guide. Terrific!! A+ and we have done a guided walking tour many places around the world.
Daniel (Matoso) did a great job of tailoring the tour to our requirements. He drove us to different parts of the city. We then parked and he led us to various sites while providing information along the way. He spent an hour more with us than what was scheduled.
Gaurav was great - knowledgeable, friendly and on time. We learned a great deal about the city as well as the life of the people there.
Chris was very knowledgeable and informative! He gave us the history and lineage of the area! We had a wonderful time!
A really great walking tour. Donna was fantastic. She knew a lot about Melbourne and took us to all the places we wanted to see and some extra places. It was very interesting and we learnt a lot. Thank you Donna for a lovely experience.
So much for having a private tour guide. This company is based in the UK!!! I thought VIATOR deals with the LOCAL companies of the city not yet another broker or third party which this one sounds like. So we were left high and dry in melbourne, trying to call company but of course, they are closed due to TIME DIFFERENCE. Not totally the tour guide's fault. She texted and apologized and t told us that she can't make the tour due to other commitments and has informed the company days before our tour date. WE COULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED SOONER. yes money refunded, but there is no price in WASTING A VACATION DAY not mentioning the stress and anxiety this experienced brought. ATTENTION VIATOR : I have used your company for many years and MANY COUNTRIES - it is wrong to give customers a company that is not local - so when we needed help - there was no one to call!!!!!!

This absolutely made my trip.

I am travelling around Australia and New Zealand for 2 months and Melbourne was my first stop. I booked a private bespoke tour with Cityunscripted and it was awesome.

I spoke with the cityunscripted team and they told me that this experience would help we get my bearings in the city and help me prepare for the rest of my time in the city. This was exactly what I wanted. I booked quite last minute, yet they still managed to booked me in with Olivia, an amazing Aussie girl who was wonderful. From the moment we met in the hotel, we clicked and made me feel like I was wondering around with a friend.

It was my first day in the city so Liv set me up with a Myki card. She also let me know that travelling by tram within the CBD was free, something I would not have know had I not met her. We started our day with breakfast at the Lune Croissanterie, an amazing bakery which I couldn't help but return to the next day so good!. After this we wandered through the area surrounding my hotel and she recommended me some of her favourite independent galleries, shops and restaurants for me to visit during my stay. She also sent these to me after our tour so that I would not forget them! I cannot express how helpful and lovely she was. My only regret was not booking Liv for longer, but I had already booked another tour for the afternoon. At the end of our time, I told Liv to join me for lunch if she was free and we went to one of her favourite food markets in the city, Queen Victoria market also highly recommended!

Thanks to Cityunscripted and Liv for making my time in Melbourne so great. This is my first solo trip and I was a quite nervous, but this first day in Aus put me at ease. I have taken many tours in my time, but this was the best by far.

We had given them the information beforehand, I was happy to be shown some interesting spots in Melbourne with commentary
Wir hatten eine perfekte Reiseleiterin, welche voll auf unsere Wünsche einging. Allein die Bibliothek in Hotelnähe war schon sehenswert .
