Beau was our excellent guide through the laneways of Melbourne. We were the only 2 people on the tour and it was rainy so he ducked us into into cozy, friendly and highly varied places where we could warm up with a drink and great conversation. It was our first few hours in Melbourne and a great introduction to the town. Highly recommend!!!

Such a fun interactive walking tour round Melbourne CBD. John has a passion for Melbourne and provides so many more tips beyond the places we went on the Tour. My wife and I did the Tour with Hugo this week and highly recommend anyone visiting to make this a priority early in your stay . Hugo took us to some great bars and shared some interesting facts regarding the ones we attended but also shared tips along the way regarding restaurants and other local tips . Great way to hit pubs/bars/etc you would most likely never find by yourself (or ever). More of a really, really nice bar crawl than a history/sightseeing tour, but exactly up my alley. Great guide in Hugo & really lucky to have had great people I met on the tour, especially since there was only 4 of us.
What a fantastic day out in the warm sun. Beau was fun, witty and welcoming. It was a small group so he asked what we liked and lined up some great bars to try out. Was like an evening with friends. We did the Whitehart, Caretaker’s Cottage, Whiskey and Alement, and Drivers Lane. But you don’t need to go by any list. Trust these guys for little gems across CBD.

Great walking tour. Simon was awesome! He was very personable and knowledgeable about the city and the different bars. He knew what to recommend at each stop. He knew the staff at the bars, which made the experience so much better and had background knowledge on the bars themselves. Travelling across an ocean to a totally new country can be difficult, but Simon made everyone feel at home and he made great conversation. Would definitely recommend this to any traveler to Melbourne... and even to locals!
We so enjoyed the four hidden Laney bars that Ian took our group to this evening. There was a god variety of both cocktails and vibes but all were excellent and he took us to some amazing gems f Melbourne!
Such a good experience. Hugo, our guide, was perfect for our group. He had plenty of commentary and stories, but wasn't overpowering or talk too much. We were with 6 friends and three others, and we all had a great time. Hugo made sure of that! The bars we visited were unique, each in their own way. We will definitely return to each one. We were also fortunate to have Alex from Depot with us on this tour, adding to the overall success of the night. Well paced walk with enough time to enjoy a drink or two, depending on your thirst, at each venue. The guide was knowledgeable with some memorable trivia on establishments we visited. I would do this one again.

A fantastic tour of some great places to enjoy a drink and talk to the local owners. We really enjoyed the commentary from Alex and Hugo learning about the history and chatting to some lovely people at each location. Highly recommend and if this is an indication of the srvice then any tour by the same company would be worth booking.
Fantastic tour with Simon, took us on a journey of quirky, amazing, glam, cool bars in Melbourne. We had a great time, tasted some new drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere of the bars visited. Will definitely try another tour an would love to explore the other tours available, especially the dining tour!

Each has its own unique character - just choose one to match the evening! Was struggling to think of something to do with friends coming into town. Decided to book the hidden laneways tour to uncover some new bars that I didnt know about and I was not disappointed. The tour guide was great, very knowledgeable given he was a local. It was a perfect afternoon walking around Melbourne's laneways uncovering some of the best bars I have been (our friends still speak about the bars and they are from NYC... says something about Aussie hospitality). Definitely worth booking, you will have a great afternoon
Great short little experience on this tour. Got to see a little piece of Melbourne and understand how Laneway Bars came into existence. Hugo was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and gave us lots of options for dinner and bars after the tour was over as well.
This was a great experience! We got to see some very cool bars, ones we wouldn’t have known about ourselves. The guide was knowledgeable and gave us a map of 15+ of his favorites. We are from the states and learned a lot from the guide and the others in the tour. Highly recommend this experience!
This tour was so much fun! Ian was such an excellent host, he knew so much about Melbourne and all the amazing history and trendy places to drink. There was something for everyone as the places we visited catered to many different tastes, people were able to get a beer or something more daring and fancy like a cocktail. We purchased the drinks upon booking and it was excellent value and I recommend doing this as it meant we had an excellent drink at every venue. Every place we visited was unique and had amazing cocktails on offer, these were places we definitely wouldn’t have found or visited on our own. Ian was so friendly and made time to get to know everyone on the tour, find out what brought them to Melbourne and what their interested in and then offered information that catered to their interests. We left the tour tipsy and full of other suggestions of places to visit. My only advice is make sure you wear suitable shoes as there is a fair bit of walking and it’s not a slow leisurely stroll, you need to keep up! This tour is definitely something I recommend if you want to explore Melbourne and discover some great bars!

Highly recommend this for something different to do in the city. 4 bars in 3hrs and we chose the pre paid option which allowed you to choose and drink of choice off their bar beverage list! She even gave us tips on other secret places to do on our own! Will highly recommend to others!!
