Harry was excellent and had a tremendous knoledge of the topic, we was engaging and easy to listen too.

Took my teenage grandson. Tour guide Chantelle was warm, friendly & knowledgable. Good small group of people. Interesting tour & great part of the city to wander around in as evening fell.

What an amazing evening walking the streets and laneways of Melbourne! Chantel our guide was amazing and quite knowledgeable and was happy to answer all our questions! 5 stars!!

Our guide was knowledgeable, charismatic, and kept the whole group hooked from start to finish. I learned things about the city I’ve never heard anywhere else — from Little Lon to the old crime scenes tucked between modern buildings. The walk was easy, the stories were fascinating, and the whole tour felt very professional. Highly recommend for anyone who loves mystery, history, or storytelling.

We had a great time on this true crime tour! The tour guide was professional, engaging, and really easy to chat with. The time flew by and we appreciated all the cool spots she brought us to. It was also a nice perk to have access to sit down sometimes while listening to the guide share stories. Thank you for a memorable experience and for being so kind!

A really fun evening walking around listening to some pretty bizarre stories! Chantelle was our host and she was great. Warm and knowledgeable, she told the stories with enthusiasm and humour. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour which filled me in on a lot of stories I knew a little bit about and introduced me to a whole lot of new stories of the dark side of Melbourne's past. Shantelle was a great host with an animated delivery which ensured the time flew by.

Tours like this depend very much on the guide and their liveliness to tell the stories. I enjoyed this tour and Darcy was a great host, friendly and engaging without being on rote.

My family attended this tour in Feb 2026. It was a great tour, with interesting and morbid stories of crime and murder that took place in various locales throughout the CBD. A mix of well-known and lesser-known crime stories, from mid-1800s to 2000s. Our guide, Harry, was excellent and had an amazing depth of knowledge on this topic. Highly recommended!

Really disappointing. Travelled from Gisborne to the city. Enjoyed a really lovely meal at a restaurant and just before leaving to walk to our meeting point, received a cancellation notice, 30 mins before tour start. It completely spoilt our evening

Did this tour with my husband and was a great way to find out some of the history of Melbourne, also a nice way to see some of the city. I have lived in Melbourne all my life and had no idea about some of the stories and people mentioned. Also shout out to our guide Harry, who was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helped make the tour a great experience.

Our experience with Dark Stories Tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Joanna was very informative and the way she told the stories about what happened in our city back in the day was wonderful. It made you visualise how it all unfolded and gave you that feeling of ‘WOW!’ I would highly recommend this tour even if you’re not into history. 😊

Yesterday I went on the true crime tour with my mother-in-law who is a huge true crime fan. Our tour guide was Bree, Bree was super friendly and energetic, she told each story in great detail and was a great tour guide. It was super fun learning Melbourne’s true crime history. Would recommend if you love true crime 10/10

This tour was fantastic! I fully recommend doing it. Darcy was very friendly and informative. I loved learning about key crimes through Melbourne most of which were over 100 years old. Lots of these locations have hardly changed so the atmosphere was great!

Last night my partner and I went on the True Crime tour. It was a spur-of-the-moment thing, and we're so glad we went. We had a private tour all to ourselves and we were led by the incredible Darcy. The stories she told were interesting and she told them so personably and it was all very entertaining. We also had a real-life true crime happen in the middle of the tour as we came across someone being attacked and Darcy was professional and competent. It was an intense situation, but she dealt with it really well. This tour was great and I'd recommend it to everyone. A brilliant way to spend an evening. Thanks Darcy!

Bree was bree-liant! She kept our group engaged and together, weaving us through the streets while pointing out landmarks we’d have otherwise walked straight past. Each story was told with infectious enthusiasm, bringing Melbourne’s shady past and colourful characters to life. I discovered corners of the city I’d never noticed before, learned fascinating trivia tidbits, and had a genuinely fun night out. Highly recommended!

Excellent for any Aussie true crime fan. Darcy (Darcie?) our tour guide, was fantastic!! They were a real pleasure, told the stories with empathy and a bit of humour when appropriate, definitely would do again/recommend!

We really enjoyed the Melbourne 2-hour true crime tour. The stories were varied and covered several centuries, which kept things interesting throughout. Our tour guide was absolutely lovely — very knowledgeable and also gave us helpful insights into other parts of the city. It was a great way to learn about Melbourne's darker history while also getting to explore more of the city on foot. Lots of facts and engaging storytelling — highly recommended!!

Wanted to book a night tour and unfortunately a lot of night tours were already booked out or were too far away from Melbourne. I'm very glad I found this tour. The young lady (unfortunately I can't remember her name) was very knowledgeable about Melbourne's crime history. Would highly recommend this to a if you're interested in a short tour of the history of crime in Melbourne.

An interesting tour learning about Melbourne's history through true crimes. Our guide Chantelle was friendly and knowlefgeable, with excellent storytelling skills. The only downside was all the brisk walking but otherwise a good tour

Chantelle was super fun and a great story teller. The right amount of info at each crime location to keep the pace, a great variety of crime stories with people of different background /scenarios. Got photos to show you to put things in perspective. The night tour also brought the atmosphere to the storytelling. Nothing spooky/ creepy. Def a fun entertaining night tour!! Highly recommend!!

The tour was interesting, well researched and well presented by Chantelle. The weather was gloomy but that added to the mood :). An entertaining 90mins and I'd recommend it.

What a delightful introduction to murder, mayhem and madness in Melbourne! Our tour guide, Bri (?) could make a corpse smile with her effervescent good humour and cornucopia of 19th and 20th century crime. Who would have thought spending a couple of hours at night in the company of serial killers and armed robbers could be so much fun? Nothing gory or confronting, nothing to leave anyone traumatized. Just good, old-fashioned malefactors keeping the hangman at Old Melbourne Gaol in steady employment. Highly recommended!!

The tour was very enjoyable, however the walking pace of our guide Bree was too fast for the majority of the group. Bree was very informative and had a cheery personality.

The tour was really interesting, I’ve been to a few of these sorts of things over the years and found out some cool things I’d never heard. Our guide, Brianna was great, really engaging and personable. Would definitely recommend!

Great night. Great tour guide. Learnt a lot about the city I’ve lived in my whole life. There was story’s about high profile crimes and the not so well known.

It was a good walking tour that not only informed us about some historical Melbourne crimes but also covered some ground around the CBD , which involved some beautiful Melbourne Gardens , Melb Exhibition building , immersed us amongst Melbourne traffic and trams . Bree was our guide , she was easy going and fun to be around.

This tour was amazing. Bree was a lovely guide and an expert in Melbournes true crime history. She was very engaging and funny! We learnt so much about Melbournes true crime history and it was even cooler actually being able to see where things occurred many years ago. I loved every minute and would highly reccomend other true crime junkies to do this. Thankyou again Bree you were amazing.

The guide was too nervous, quiet and didn’t know her speech well enough. She needed to be able to make it more interesting as the stories seemed fine. She was a very nice girl though.

This tour was thoroughly enjoyed by us all. It was something different to do in our city. Our tour guide Harry was a fantastic story teller and we learnt a lot about interesting crime stories over the past couple of centuries. I highly recommend it!

Tour guide was great, friendly, informative and funny. I loved getting a look into the background of Melbourne and learning stories I wouldn't be able to find on my own. You don't have to be a historian to enjoy the history you learn on these tours. Warm clothing and comfortable shoes are a must, but even the walk was enjoyable. Not too tiring and its still early enough to enjoy the night out afterwards, or make it back to your hotel for a warm drink and relax. 10/10 recommend

I took my friend to this true crime tour for her birthday, because we both love learning about crime. It was a windy evening in Melbourne, which just added to the experience. Our host was incredible, she was hilarious, knowledgeable, and so engaging in her story telling. The stories she shared during our walk about each location in Melbourne had variety, each as juicy as each other. I highly recommend this tour, the 1.5 hour was the perfect amount of time for the tour and it was wonderful to see Melbourne in a different light.

Excellent range of true crime stories. An easy walk with only a few minutes between stops. Fun guide, Bree was great! It rained a little but there was plenty of cover at most of our stops.

Literally my favourite way to spend a Friday night thus far in my life. Bree was so incredible, I could listen to her tell these stories for hours. I can’t believe how much history is in our own backyard! Telling every single one of my friends, family, coworkers and neighbours to do this tour.

Such a good time! We were led by Bree, and there were certianly more sombre parts of the tour, but there were a lot of laughs along the way. Some little spots were visited that even my Melbournite friend didn't know of, so there is something there for everyone. highly recommend if you're looking for something to do! And thanks heaps to Bree for a spectacular night and dealing with us!
