Great Ocean Road Tour Plus Koalas, Forest Walk And Morning Tea

My wife and I came to Australia from the U.S for our honeymoon. We’ve been here for 2 weeks visiting Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney and are finishing up here in Melbourne. Throughout our time we’ve done plenty of tours. Including the opera house in Sydney and lone pine in Brisbane. I can confidently say this was hands down the best tour. Theo, our guide, was phenomenal. He was funny, chipper, gave us very insightful facts of not only the great ocean road, but the wildlife (psstt… we got to see 5 wild koalas, alpacas, and alottttt of cockatoos). There was so much we got to see from the large green trees, the 12 apostles, the breathtaking coastline around Apollo bay and the Southern Ocean. If you’re in Melbourne this is a must do. Much love to Theo- we’re currently trying his recommendation Mr. Ramen San- it did not disappoint. This tour is absolutely worth the $, and may actually be the biggest bang for your buck in the city. In a word “Awesome”, the scenery was stunning / breathtaking, everyone visiting Melbourne needs to have this on their bucket list. Pat our guide was superb & had infinite patience with people who were constantly late. Fantastic to see Koala’s in the wild. A long day but well worth it. Highly recommend.

It was a beautiful day seeing all the sites along ocean road. Our tour guide Warren was wonderful, very knowledgeable and made the trip so enjoyable. It is definitely an all day experience so be prepared for any weather and to be driving a lot.

It was a great experience with lots of great views of some key locations on the Great Ocean Road. The guide, Tony, often gave information and told stories about the towns we visited and did a very good job at finding wild koalas and kangaroos for us to see. We did spend a lot of the day driving, and it is a long day so bring food and drink.

Warren was great! He was very informative and funny. My husband and I had an amazing time touring the Great Ocean Road. This is a must-do. The scenery is breathtaking and it was so fun getting to see koalas up close in their natural habitat.

Its an amazing and unforgettable experience in this ocean road trip. In particular, the driver/tour guide Warren did a brilliant job by bringing us to see wild kangaroos and kualas, which was definitely not arranged by other companies. Warren's voice was soft and with his knowledge about Australia's history, everyone of us was benefitted. I will give a big thumb up for those looking for similar trip.

This tour was fantastic and exceeded all our expectations. Warren, our tour guide was phenomenal and went out of his way to make sure we got multiple chances to see Koalas up in the trees. When we arrived at the 12 Apostles He pointed out the 4 different paths we could take to see different views. Warren is the best tour director.

Absolutely incredible! Theo was my tour guide he was so knowledgeable, friendly and funny! He made the drives much more enjoyable too. The day was amazing with so many views, lots learnt and to top it off I got to see wild dolphins, wales, koalas and kangaroos! I couldn’t not recommend enough and will definitely be re booking with this company.

The Great ocean road tour with guide Warren was a fantastic experience. He was friendly, funny, informative, and interesting. I really enjoyed talking with him and learning more about Australia and Melbourne. He did a great job spotting wildlife including koalas and grey kangaroos. We got stunning looks at wild koalas, and exploring the rainforest was a lot of fun. The coastal views along great ocean road were amazing. Overall, this was a great day.

We had an amazing Great Ocean Road tour! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the whole trip was very well organised. Tony was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the journey enjoyable from start to finish. He was especially great at spotting wildlife along the way, giving us the chance to see animals we would have otherwise missed. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne! It’s going to be a long day, so make sure to get a good night’s sleep and proper rest the night before to enjoy the experience to the fullest.

Warren is the friendliest and funniest tour guide I have ever seen. He ensured everything ran smoothly, with our safety as the priority. We got to see everything on the itinerary and even more koala spots, with some cute koalas sleeping and waiting for us to see them. His knowledge of the points of interest helped us learn; his knowledge of the area ensures great Ocean Runs and beyond.

It is my 3rd tour with this same itinerary over past 3 yrs. This round was the best as every stop was on time, smooth traffic and less crowd too. Warren as usual driver cum guide and he is still so funny, keeping the bus on high moods. Highly recommend this tour for 1st timer to Melbourne, a tour that must not be missed.

I was pleasantly suprised by this experience, and Theo was a brilliant guide ! We were able to see the major sites of the Great Ocean Road as well as wild koalas and dolphins.

What an incredible day of sightseeing with Warren. He even took us to a spot where we saw kangaroos in the wild. I did not feel rushed in any of the locations and feel like we had adequate time at each. My only complaint is there is no leg room in those small buses. My husband is 5'10" and his knees were hugging the seat in front. Pretty uncomfortable for a 12 hour day. And please don't put "morning tea" in your itinerary. A cookie and a juice box is a nice gesture but I was looking forward to something that never materialized. That's misleading.

Warren’s a great funny guy, jokes and information on a platter, engaging us. Sufficient time allocated to each stop along the Great Ocean Road. We saw kangaroos and koalas up close! Beautiful wildlife. The 12 apostles themselves were okay, but the journey there was absolutely beautiful.

This tour was everything I expected it to be and more! Warren our guide was fantastic and really knew his stuff! I’m so glad I booked this tour in particular as we definitely made the most out of the day. Weather was a bit dreary to start with but brightened up and the experience was fantastic! Even with the dreary start the whole experience was great! Thanks Warren!

Was an amazing trip with Warren today, went above and beyond with showing us different spots and gave excellent suggestions. Warren also gave other tourist some enjoyable entertainment with Sally and kept the atmosphere light, bubbly and informative. If you’re to go on this trip and get Warren as your driver, you’ll definitely have fun and just makes the entire experience a treat.

Did the Great Ocean Road tour on Tuesday with tour guide Warren. Had the best day in Australia so far!. Warren was relaxed, approachable and had hilarious jokes. He knew where to find the best spots for Koalas and Kangaroos. My husband and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and even made some friends on the journey. Overall an awesome jam-packed day seeing some of the most beautiful spots in Australia. The 12 Disciples is a must see for any traveler.

This tour is a very long but enjoyable. We have seen everything what was mentioned earlier, wonderful views, nice koalas, excellent guide, his name is Theo, who guaranteed the success of your day. Very informative, helpful and funny at the same time.

Warren was an excellent tour guide . Very informative without droning on and willing to answer any questions. He also has a great sense of fun and engaged with everyone. He was also very observant in being aware of individuals and their needs or concerns. So yes, it was a long day but definitely worth it.

The Great Ocean Road views are stunning, and we were lucky enough to spot wild kangaroos and koalas. Our guide Warren was great and shared some cool info along the way.

Long day, 6:40 am pick up, 7.20 pm drop off, but entertained and informed by Warren throughout. 13 koalas and great views of the Ocean Road and Apostles. Bring your camera and sense of humour.

Theo took us on an amazing adventure. He was very informative, knowledgeable and entertaining. He also had a keen eye for spotting animals. There is a lot packed into the day but we loved it. Great tour with a great guy.

What a fabulous day I had on this excursion! Our guide Warren went above and beyond to make this a special day. He was funny, helpful and knowledgeable, and he always could find the best places to see koalas and kangaroos. His suggestions for viewing the sights were spot on, and he went out of his way to figure out how we could see all of our planned for sights despite a wreck closing the normal road we would have taken to see the 12 Apostles. I would explore the Australian sights with him and this company anytime I got the opportunity.

It’s a long day with a lot of hours in the bus. Having said that, it was a great day out to see the wonderful coastline, koalas in their natural Habitat and the temperate rain forest. Our driver and guide, Theo, was fantastic. Full marks to him!

Very relaxed and informal tour with a good amount of stops and opportunities to take photographs. Warren made the day fun and went out of his way to make sure we saw as much as possible. We saw Koalas and even Kangaroos at a distance. The Twelve Apostles were awesome!

This tour was very scenic and informative. The time in the Van getting from one site to another wasn't bad at all. The tour guide was knowledgeable and safe throughout this tour. This tour I would recommend for anyone visiting Melbourne.

Great day trip in which you get to see many fantastic sights on the Great Ocean Road. the Apollo Bay beaches and the 12 Apostles just to name some of them. Theo was a great guide, who along with the sights and very helpful advice, knew where to find wild koalas.

The tour was excellent and Warren our guide was highly entertaining and thorough. The morning tea was a juice box and a cookie, so bring snacks as the first place for food is the lunch stop around 11:30. Beware, the route is very winding/curving along the coast. If you experience motion sickness, please take note. It would be ideal if your operators could mention this on the "What to Expect" or "Additional Information" sections. The bus is cramped in the last 2 rows, you are not able to see through the front as these rows are lower than all the others. But the tour was excellent. The Gorge, and Twelve Apostles are breathtaking. Easy walking even for a senior. The forest walk in a loop in the rain forest and can be steep at moments. We were able to spot koalas along the roadside, as well as kangaroos.

Warren provided an insightful, entertaining day. It's a long day, but well worth it considering the breadth of sights seen. Can't recommend highly enough!

Irs a long tour with adequate breaks at some of the best locations on the route. The guide was indeed very knowledgeable and provided informative insights about the history of places we went. Would recommend strongly as a must when in Melbourne

This tour with our guide Warren was amazing! Warren kept us engaged with vast knowledge and jokes! Highly recommended for anyone planning travel to Melbourne.

Trip duration depends on other participants respecting bus off/on times. Our trip did not allow for a dinner stop in Colac as mentioned. The music selection returning to Melbourne was turned over to a passenger which I found unacceptable. No music was better than what we had to listen to. The stops were informative. The rain forest had downed trees across the path so may not be manageable for all participants. Our driver was french so his english was hard to understand over the speaker BUT he was very nice. And lastly, I have a picture of a participant urinating on the side of the road while we stopped at a lookout point. Disrespectful!

Despite the trip being confirmed the tour operator didn’t have us on the roster and refused to let us on the bus. Furthermore despite the guide phoning the office, he was only willing to give us a phone number which had a recorded message - it took 9 hours to get a reply. We were only in town for two days - this not only wasted our day, we were also out of pocket for a few other expenses of making it to the pick up point very early in the morning. Left at roadside - in front of a coach load. Terrible treatment and very poor customer service from the tour operator. Tripadvisor got us a refund for the trip itself but this did not make up for the wasted day, the out of pocket expenses and the humiliation of being left at the kerbside. Avoid as if it goes wrong you have no way of contacting them and they clearly don’t care.

Maybe unusual, but I would like to start with Warren our guide. All positives. He is knowledgeable, humourous, empathetic and patient. The tour exceeded our expectations. We had done this trip before on our own. But doing it with a guide makes all the difference. So much to see, so much to learn about and such Instagrammable sites. The heat was a b*tch. The bus was not the most comfortable. Highly recommended tour, overall.

Warren was AMAZING!! Very funny and informative, the website however needs updated, we got 3 confirmations with a meeting spot which ended up being wrong. The stopping locations were not in order and it mentioned stopping for dinner which we did not do. Pack snacks/water.

This is an absolutely scenic ride if you are visiting Melbourne and a must visit. We went on a fairly sunny day and the views were stunning. Warren, our guide, had an excellent understanding of the place and answered all questions. However, he was a rude. We were about 6-7 minutes behind our scheduled start and he threatened to leave without us. While he was absolutely right in warning us for not respecting everyone else's time (and we apologized to everyone immediately upon boarding the bus) the manner in which he spoke was outright rude and disrespectful. He did however speak to us normally post that and even helped us take pictures. Apart from that would highly recommend Wine Hop and Coastal Tours. However, if Warren's your guide better not be late!

We didn't stop at several of the locations listed in the itinerary. The operator already knew that we couldn't stop at certain locations. Therefore, they should have either reduced the cost or changed the itinerary. I felt gypped! Also, the guide was not knowledgeable and could have been more welcoming of questions. His demeanor showed that he was not happy taking/answering questions. I would not recommend this tour for those two reasons.

This is an absolute must-do trip and this is the perfect way of doing it, going to all the main attractions with a perfect amount of stop offs and time at each place. Warren our guide was absolutely brilliant, extremely helpful, knowledgeable, clear, and very funny.

It was rainning that day but we really enjoy the view along the rode side. The audio in the van was good give us the detail of the places we visit. It was a long ride, the van was not very comfortable. The seats were too close together. Nice tour..
