Our tour begins at 7:35am leaving Melbourne we head over the Westgate Bridge towards Geelong.
Travel along the majestic Great Ocean Road from Anglesea. We will be keeping our eyes out to spot Australian wildlife throughout the day. If you’re lucky enough, you may see some Kangaroos and listen to the songs of lovely birds native to Australia such as Kookaburras, King Parrots, Yellow Robins, Fairy-Wrens, and much more.
We make our way to our first highlight, the Memorial Arch. Listed as a National Heritage, the war memorial archway is the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. Stop for a photo in front of the Great Ocean Road sign before we begin winding our way along one of the greatest coastal roads in the world.
We will visit the quaint coastal town of Apollo Bay in southwestern Victoria. Located on the east side of Cape Otway, Apollo Bay is a natural resort town where you can explore its rich rainforests filled with waterfalls, streams, lush vegetation, and exotic wildlife. We will stop here for lunch at your own expense. Enjoy a cafe dining experience or a picnic down the beach – the choice is yours.
Explore the Great Otway National Park with your tour guide and learn all about this ancient rainforest. See centuries-old eucalyptus trees, thousand-year-old ferns towering over a warm temperate rainforest terrain, a variety of native birds, and wildlife of all kinds.
Be mesmerized by the famous 12 Apostles and soak in the splendour of the rock formations’ allure and magnificence. Let the towering cliffs dwarf you as the raging waters of the surf pound on the rocks below. Witness the changing colours of the sky and sea as the sun slowly sinks behind the giant limestones. Get lost in the natural beauty of Loch Ard Gorge while learning from our tour guide some history of the area’s famous shipwrecks. There had been over 200 shipwrecks between Port Fairy and Cape Otway. Hear the harrowing story of two young survivors of the Loch Ard Ship Wreck in 1878. Marvel at the formations of Island Archway, Razorback and the Salt and Pepper Shakers
As we head back to Melbourne, we will have a quick pit stop in the town of Colac
Had a great time with Joe and his stories about places and even his personal experiences. He even stopped to see koala's up close. So I believe we had the best guide. But the best of the experience was, that Joe was speaking clearly, so I could understand him even tho English isn't my primary language. Thank you Joe, it was a pleasure.

This was a great trip. I would’ve been upset had I come this close to the 12 apostles and not visited. It was absolutely beautiful. We drove a substantial portion of the Great ocean road while stopping at the Loch Ard Gorge, and the Melba Gully Rainforest. The tour guide, Kiwi, was really good. He had an abundance of knowledge from the construction of the Great Ocean Road, to the survivors of the Loch Ard shipwreck to Koala bears, and even gave some cultural info of the Aboriginal people. The tour was definitely worth while. We made frequent stops in case of needing to use the bathroom. The tour provided sandwiches, tea, and snacks. The bus had phone charging capabilities and WiFi. I would definitely suggest this Autopia tour to anyone visiting Australia. If I return to Australia I will inquire about other tours Autopia offers.

Small group size, which was perfect. Joe, our guide, made a perfect road trip. The trip was well organised, sufficient time was given to visit the sites and Joe explained and provided interesting information along the way. The road back was bumpy, but Joe managed to get us back to Melbourne in time for dinner.

Joel was an amazing guide and kept everyone’s spirits up throughout the long road trip. Of course, visiting the Great Ocean Road was incredible, but what made the experience even more special was spotting koalas together, going on hikes, and getting the chance to visit his hometown. I really loved the trip and had so much fun, the place was majestic. However, I was really disappointed sonce we didn’t go to otway naational park, as this is the reason of my booking decision. It is listed amongst the itinerary destinations so I really don’t why this happened… :) . I hope this error is fixed.

Wonderful tour with very knowledgeable tour guide Kiwi! Beautiful drive along the southern Australian coast and all the stops. Lunch was good. We stayed on time and everyone was pleasant. I enjoyed Kiwi’s narration along the way, but some non-English speakers had a hard time following. Be sure to request language translation, if needed. Otherwise, awesome!
Absolutely incredible experience visiting the Twelve Apostles. The entire day felt like something out of a movie — dramatic coastline, massive cliffs, and views that honestly don’t look real in person. Every stop along the route was beautiful, but seeing the Apostles at sunset was unforgettable. The tour itself was very well organized, comfortable, and paced perfectly. Our guide, Anthony was knowledgeable and gave great background on the history and geography of the area without overdoing it. I also appreciated having enough time at each stop to actually take it in instead of feeling rushed

Great tour, the guide is very knowledgeable. He stopped at the rights places to spot Koalas and Kangaroos, and even managed to emulate the sounds of birds and locals species. Definitely recommend this tour.
Lovely full day (reverse tour) including 12 Apostles, Lock Ard, Ottaway National Park (with a stop off to walk through the rainforest), Apollo Bay and the Great Ocean Road Memorial. The reverse tour worked well for us and none of the places were too busy. Small group (around 16 people), with great live guide during the drive. Lots of freedom at the stop off points, didn’t feel too rushed at all. Managed to see koala’s AND kangaroo’s in the wild! Simple sandwich, fruit, tea and coffee for lunch (with option for dietary requirements) and Tim-tams! The Ocean Road Tour is beautiful and definitely a must do, this tour was great value for money and did everything we needed. Would recommend. Thank you Anthony and group!!

We had high expectations for this trip and they were absolutely 100% met!!!! Firstly Joe, our tour guide was exceptional! With detailed knowledge of the places we were visiting along the way, paired with a great storytelling personality, made this trip whole. Not only did we get to see these beautiful attractions but we were inspired with true stories and historical events. The trip wouldn’t have been the same without Joe. So thank you!! Joe was great! Even though it was a full-day tour, he made it enjoyable that the time flew by. He took us to all the top sites and tried to steer us around as many of the crowds as possible. I would highly recommend!

What a wonderful fun packed Great ocean Road day tour it was!!! Me and my cousin had a very pleasant time travelling through the Victorian country and visiting these beautiful sights along the Great ocean road. The highlight of course was the 12 Apostles!!
