Great hiking tour in a small group with Kurtis our guide. Worthwhile bookings the Grampians tour. It was not an easy hike but our guide made us feeling as much comfortable as possible. Great Atmosphere within the group and Amazing view at the top... Would recommend Hike and Seek for any type of hiking tour experience

Was amazing tour with a super friendly tour guide “Kurtis”! I went with my Mom totgetger to get a wildlife experience around great nature: we all got it! The hikes and lookouts were amazing, also he told us little things about each stop. The communication before and while the trip was easy and we were a small group of 5, so now stress and crowds. Would recommend to book it for families as well for friends or solo travellers! Cheers and big Thanks
Intimate experience with seasoned guides. Well organized. New van. Rigorous. Don’t hesitate. Peaceful.
The hiking portion of the trip was fun. Our guide, Andrew, was nice but did not provide much information about the area. There were no snacks provided and we were not told ahead of time to bring lunch.
Must-do hiking trip to the Grampians. Such an awesome day out, and our guide Kurtin was superb - helpful, friendly and always ensuring the group was OK and engaged.
We had a small group at the tour. Whilst the hike up was slightly challenging physically (at certain steep steps) for me, we were rewarded with amazing views at the pinnacle and the waterfall. Our guide Andrew is patient, knowledgeable and a very experienced hiker. The weather was beautiful too! It was a great experience and I look forward to visiting the Grampians National Park again
Excellent day, Andrew, our driver and guide, was great! We had a small group of 4. It was an absolutely perfect day; the hike up to the pinnacles was moderately challenging with steps and scrambling, and the views were amazing. We then made our way over to the waterfall, and Andrew took us on a little walk around where it was peaceful. Highly recommend if you only have one day to explore the Grampians.
The Grampians tour is definitely well worth the money. Jayda our driver was a very bright, knowledgeable and charismatic young lady who truly made the trip from start to finish so enjoyable. The scenery is breathtaking and well worth a visit.
Went on a day trip to the Grampians with Hike & Seek. Our guide, Marcus, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure everyone was safe and kept an eye out for hazards during the hike. He shared his knowledge about the local flora and fauna, as well as the history of the region and other towns that we passed along the way. His passion was infectious and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The itinerary is well planned with enough time for photos and breaks. Highly recommended.
I had an amazing day in the Grampians doing multiple hikes. Andrew was great. He was good at explaining what will happen during the day and also adapting to our pace. Small groups make the difference. The 2 hikes we did gave some spectacular views. And we had time at the end to find some wild kangaroos and stop in the town in the Grampians. One of the best excursions I have done in Australia.
Joined on 18th February 2025 We were so lucky to have Joe as our tour guide. Thank you for the amazing experience! I appreciate your patience, and taking care of me during the attire hike! Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our tour together. Thank you , Ismay
Joe was an amazing tour guide!!! Very informative and engaging. He really personalizes the tours to the interest and ability of the group.
Trip was amazing. After a not to long drive the mountains offer so many views and climb is pretty easy if you’re used to it. The falls also beautiful and again offer so many pictures. Marcus was great and kept the energy up.
We were originally scheduled for the hiking tour in the Grampians, but due to the brush fires there, it was rescheduled for the Great Ocean Tour. Marcus was our guide and he was awesome. He was great at communicating, and informative on a lot of the wildlife. He was also able to make any adjustments to our schedule as needed. This was definitely peak season with lots of visitors, but he planned and adjusted accordingly. We did great on timing due to everyone in our group being quick at all stops and we tended to stay ahead of the other tour buses. It is a long day, but plenty of stops and lots to see. The highlight was seeing a mob of kangaroos and a koala in the wild.
Matt was a great and friendly tour guide! He was very patient with any medical conditions and adjusted his pace accordingly throughout the hike. He was also very knowledgeable about the Grampians tour and made everyone felt comfortable. Thanks Matt!
Trip was amazing. After a not to long drive the mountains offer so many views and climb is pretty easy if you’re used to it. The falls also beautiful and again offer so many pictures. Marcus was great and kept the energy up.
A wonderful day in the Grampions with our knowledgeable guide Marcus. Good to experience the beauty of this area in a small tour group and supportive driver/guide. Recommended!
The tour was a great experience with a nice and easy hike and great views over the Grampians national park. Joe was a super nice and experienced guide and took very good care of everyone. Only thing is that they did not provide Coffee/ Tea as well as fruit and snacks as it was written in the booking so we had to buy our own food.
Such a good trip, the guide was so brilliant and knowledgable, had an amazing day! Will be back for more trips.
Great day in the Grampians National Park with Jo! Beautiful hiking trails, amazing landscapes and wonderful opportunity to close encounters with wildlife animals!
Great hike with amazing views! A good amount of walking and definitely enjoyed doing as part of a smaller group. The drive is quite lengthy but worth the trip
Joe is a wonderful guide. He’s professional about history and all the nature. Really patient and caring in the whole trip. Best thing I have done in mel
My second tour with hike and seek, another brilliant experience. Matt is a great tour guide and has an amazing sense of humour and patience to answer any questions I had. The smaller tour groups are definitely worth the extra, I wouldn't go with any other tour group it's so comfortable and being a solo traveller it was perfect. It gives you a really good impression of the Grampians and the views and rock formations are crazy. I would note that you are not allowed to swim in the waterfall anymore so a swim is not necessarily on the cards for this trip but seeing so many emus and kangaroos makes up for this! Thank you Matt for making it an experience I won't forget.
Great day tour. Small group. The guides were super professional and attentive. We did the pineaccle hike, the MacKenzie falls and spotted wallabies and kangaroos. Totally recommendable!
Amazing views and a very fun hike! Our guide, Curtis, made the trip better too! He was patient to wait for others who needed more time, and readily offered to get pictures for us. He’s really friendly and held conversations with everyone throughout the trip as well! My friends and I really enjoyed his company and the hike!
We had an amazing time during the hike, outstanding views and a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend the experience, especially now that spring is starting and the weather will be perfect.
Patrick was an excellent guide. He was patient And helped our elderly father in law make it up to the Pinnacle. We really enjoyed ourselves
I didn’t know what came over me when I decided to book this 1-day hiking trip, but it was so worth it. The views, the hike, and the fact that it’s a small group made my trip to Melbourne worthwhile.
Markus made an excellent guide; friendly and chatty whilst been a great knowledge of worldwide cultures and languages. The hikes were straightforward, not too taxing, and led to some amazing scenery and locations. The small group size meant everyone got along and moved at a reasonable pace. Thanks Markus! Definitely recommend these tours if you’re after something more than a large generic group tour and want something a bit more energetic and involved.
The Grampians Hiking Tour from Melbourne is an exhilarating escape into Victoria's rugged wilderness. Led by knowledgeable guides like Marcus, you'll trek through ancient rock formations, cascading waterfalls, and panoramic vistas. Highlights include the Pinnacle lookout, Mackenzie Falls, and Boroka Lookout, each offering stunning views and rich insights into the region's indigenous culture and geological history. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or casual explorer, this tour promises an unforgettable adventure immersed in nature's beauty.
This is a well-run tour. The group was small (<12) and the guide was excellent. The hiking was fun and not very strenuous. The views were terrific.
The only negative for me was the start of the day. We were told to arrive at 7:20 am & would leave promptly at 7:30. A couple of people didn’t arrive until 7:45 and two more arrived after 7:50. Tour companies always threaten to leave on time, but don’t. So the rule followers like myself end up being penalized. That’s my only complaint. Other than that, it’s a very good tour. Our guide/driver Patrick was very patient, pleasant, and informative. I really enjoyed both hikes. They present very different views. The hikes are not long but you do get a decent workout. We also stopped by to see some wild kangaroos. All in all, a great day. Highly recommend this tour and Patrick.
Angie was an amazing tour guide! She was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a small group experience! We saw plenty of wildlife and the itinerary was perfectly planned.
It is one of the best and must-tour in Melbourne. The team was experienced and professional, and the trip was well organized with a small group. We had a lot of fun on the trip and a good hike. The trial is not long, but you need a pair of good hiking shoes to walk on the sandy rocks (which can be a bit slippy). The national park is amazing, with great nature views and cute wildlife. We love the tour and recommend it.
The guide was great, very friendly and passionate about nature. The area is beautiful for hiking. There is a lot of wildlife in the area; we saw kangaroos, wallabies and emus. Overall a great tour. I recommend to everyone who likes hiking and nature.
I had a fantastic day at the Grampians with Shane, our awesome guide, alongside other solo travelers. The hike was moderately easy, and the view was absolutely stunning. We were lucky to have good weather that day, and later, we enjoyed our lunch by Mackenzie Falls. the highlight was definitely spotting kangaroos and emus in the wild. Shane brought us to this incredible spot where we hung around long enough around them. It gave me goosebumps, for sure!
I am very grateful to the tour guide and driver. From picking us up early in the morning to walking tours and finally sending us back to the city, He was full of energy! It is amazing that our mental and physical strength has dropped rapidly from the Pinnacle stone path to the waterfall! Everyone fell asleep on the return trip, but the driver still didn't even yawn! Also, I met a group of new friends to visit those amazing sceneries! Besides the CBD, there are many natural landscapes in Melbourne, which are worth visiting! But have to be attention to the weather forecast before signing up, those sceneries are even more beautiful! Highly recommend to people who like the natural environment!
We visited the most incredible place in Grampians . The tour guide is very friendly and thoughtful. Worth the trip! Definitely would love to come back next time!
A fantastic full day of exploration in the Grampians! The small group tour with Hike & Seek was definitely the way to go for those seeking a more active tour. We clambered our way up the steep, rocky trail from the Wonderland Car Park to reach the Pinnacle for spectacular views. Shane was an excellent guide - leading the way while also creating short breaks to make sure we all stayed together and helping us get some great pics. After making it to the peak, we had a short picnic lunch with the resident wild emu and worked our way over to MacKenzie Falls. Due to damage from the catastrophic flooding, we couldn't go all the way to the base but it was still beautiful and Shane shared some footage of the incredible water flows after the flood. On the way in & out of the park, the long drive was broken up by rest stops where you could get local pastries, pies, ice cream and more while seeing the local wildlife. Hot tea, coffee, and snacks were also provided with transport in a new, comfortable caravan. All in all, a very pleasant trip & a great way to spend your day! Couple of tips: Wear shoes with some "grip" since the trail can get slippery - trail shoes or hiking boots. Be prepared to clamber around a bit in the steeper areas. There is one very narrow section along "Silent Street"
It was a great way to get out of the city without renting a car and to experience the Grampians which we otherwise wouldn't have. It is a long drive (3 hours each way) which is the only negative. Otherwise, the guide (Curtis) was friendly and easy going and the hikes were dramatically pretty.
The grampians was absolutely beautiful and I really enjoyed our hikes through the park. Our guide was chatty and friendly and overall it was a really great day.
Fantastic day out in the mountains. Mike was an excellent guide who's enthusiasm and energy never seemed to wane despite a long day. The hike up was one of the highlights for me - certainly got the heart rate up - and the views were spectacular. The small group is perfect for getting to know people through the day and ours were a really chatty, friendly bunch. A great day out
Loved the scenery and the variety of this. So many great things to see. Even enjoyed the long drive and the nice bunch of people.
Our small group visit to Grampians was a great experience. While the ascent to the Pinnacle and the descent and ascent to the bottom of Mackenzie Falls were quite steep, the views were wonderful and definitely worth the effort. Our guide was very kind and there was no feeling of hurry from one site to another. The only thing I missed was that when she was driving the van and explaining something, it was a bit hard to hear everything when sitting on the back seats.
amazing trip - great tour guide - great views - great to go on a small trip. The tour guide was fantastic - i would happily go on this trip again.
Fantastic tour! Solid 12 hour day hiking to multiple lookouts. Shane, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable on the history of the locations and had a good sense of humor. He even made sure we saw some kangaroos and emus. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! If you book, make sure you have Shane! He made the tour that much better 🤙🏼
If you want to do a nice hike, leading you to a sublime look-out point, I would surely recommend to do this Grampians tour! The hiking level to get at the top is moderate. And our guide, Shane, made sure it was enjoyable for the whole group and at a good pace. No need to rush. After that, we had our lunch at the McKenzie waterfalls, stopped for some more lookout points and saw kangaroos and emus. Shane was so kind to drop me of at my hostel on his way. We didn’t had to say goodbye for long, because the day after I did another tour with Hike & See! Check out my review for the Great Ocean Road tour.
Hike and Seek is fantastic! Our guide, Micheal, was wonderful. It was great to have a small group and the scenery on this hike was amazing- even with the rain. The place we went to lunch was very yummy. If you want a beautiful trip away from the crowds with a fun and smart guide this is the trip for you.
Great small-size tour with a very relaxed schedule but following an itinerary. Our tour of the Grampians was so much fun — and we all lived to tell the tale. ٩( ͡❛ ᵜ ͡❛)۶
First off, I spent 2 days in Melbourne, and made sure I did this. A true hike, but smashed to fit a day trip, without having to figure it out, and without being grueling, and seeing the best of what the Grampians has to show, which is A LOT. You get a drive from and back to the city. I chatted Michael the whole way, he was a great guide and overall guy. I’d recommend having some off road shoes, but there were some in the group in trainers and they did fine. If you’re a sporty person, this won’t be too challenging, but if you’re a more casually athletic individual, you’ll be ready for a good rest after. If you want a great experience outside of the city, that also is good for you, look no further.
