Hi there, I took my special needs adult son to your establishment last Saturday the 17th for a treat for him . Paid over $500 for the room with a great view , we went to observation wheel and aquarium all close by , however coming back exhausted we wanted to curl up and watch a movie and order room service , The tv would not stay on longer than 5 mins turning itself off . This was in room 1219 , I read on reviews this is common, so they shifted us to room on the 14 th floor , lo and behold the same problem. The female staff were lovely. the male staff was dismissive and quite rude blaming channel 7 , he hung around for 5 mins and of course dismissed us as rude as he was . Again all stations turned themselves off . The grilled chicken from room service was well overcooked and yuk , very disappointing. The best he could do was free parking and waive dinner . As a single mum and carer I saved really hard to treat my boy on a weekend in the city but was left heartbroken and sad for him and myself, for over $500 I could have stayed somewhere else with nicer male staff , that even pretended to care . The view was beautiful, the rooms lovely and clean but the service and food was woeful for the price 😞😞 I took a video of how often the tv cut out but can’t add it Thank you for letting me have my say

Chose the hotel for price and location to the Ice house. Plan was to spend a weekend relaxing in room and going to the Ice hockey finals. On arrival check in was smooth. Went up to the room, nice view of the Melbourne Star. Later on that night I went to turn the tv on only to find out it was not working properly. As my plan was to spend a lot of time relaxing in the room this was making up a lot of my stay so called down for assitance. Only solution was to move room as the tv was infact broken. Surely this would have been reported by a previous room guest and should have been put out of order? So with my dinner now going cold I am packing my bags and moving room to an 'upgraded room' - higher floor, smaller bed but extra bed ( of no use when only one person) and well that is as far as the 'upgrade' was there was nothing more special about the room besides more floor space. Unless you want to talk about the fancy lighting system where you have to have the bedside light on to make any of the other lights work and its like a lottery system trying to work out which light switch turns on what set of lights. How absurd! Oh and then we have the running toilet, everytime you flush you have to go back and re flush to get it to stop running. The views were nice, the beds were comfy, cleaners serviced the room when requested ( as I was in the room when they came by initially) , I am still waiting for the maintenece team to show up after 3 days to help with chrome casting as Im still connecting to the tv in the first room ( yes the one with the tv that wasn't able to work) so i guess they arent coming to help with that) Overall the staff were reasonable efficient when called on, hotel was clean enough. It was as I expected just would have liked the tvs and lighting to work a bit better.
Here’s a polished review that stays focused on your experience and avoids making claims that can’t be verified (such as saying he “looked guilty” or should be investigated for an unspecified reason): I had a very disappointing experience checking into Vibe Hotel Docklands at around 10:00 pm. When we arrived, there was no one at reception. We waited for quite some time, repeatedly called the hotel’s phone, and no one answered. We even asked a restaurant staff member for assistance, who told us the reception staff were in the office. I then knocked on the office door multiple times and still received no response. Eventually, Arthur came out of the office. Instead of apologising for the wait or acknowledging the inconvenience, he responded with an arrogant and dismissive attitude. When I explained that we had been waiting for a while, his response was, “Well, you can’t have been waiting that long since I was just here.” It was an unnecessarily rude comment and completely lacked professionalism or customer service. After being unable to reach anyone by phone, waiting at reception, and having to knock repeatedly on the office door, I expected at least a sincere apology. Instead, I was made to feel as though I was the problem. First impressions are important, and unfortunately this experience left a very negative one. I hope management reviews what happened that evening and ensures reception staff are present, approachable, and treat guests with the respect and professionalism they deserve.
We had a very disappointing experience during our stay. We chose this hotel based on its good ratings and reviews, expecting a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, the room we were given did not meet basic cleanliness standards. The bedding and bathroom were not properly cleaned, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of concern shown when we raised these issues. We did not feel that our concerns were taken seriously, and instead of relaxing and enjoying our stay, we had to spend time dealing with room-related problems. I could have made a much bigger issue out of the situation, but I chose not to because I did not want to ruin our special stay and spend our time arguing or complaining. We simply wanted to enjoy our time away, but the condition of the room made that difficult. As paying guests, we trust that rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and checked before arrival. We book hotels to relax and enjoy ourselves, not to deal with avoidable issues and room changes. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both housekeeping and customer service standards. Sadly, this experience fell far short of what we expected from a hotel with such positive reviews.
The customer service throughout our stay was genuinely outstanding — from reception and bar staff through to the kitchen and housekeeping teams. We were also pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade at check-in! A special mention to "Wahaj", who went above and beyond and really stood out. The location worked perfectly for us — central enough to easily explore Melbourne, with plenty of restaurants, shops and transport options right on our doorstep. Our room had a stunning view over the river and city, which gave the whole stay a really relaxed feel. Little things also made a big impression — the hotel's signature scent was lovely, elegant without being overpowering. The O&M haircare products throughout the hotel were a thoughtful touch too; a quality brand that really sets the standard. Breakfast had a great variety to suit everyone, and the pool was wonderfully warm — perfect for a dip on a cool day, with that amazing view as the backdrop. We'd absolutely come back without hesitation!
