Our stay at the Sebal was short, only the one night however on arrival we were greeted with a room update from 2 bedrooms to 3. The appreciate was spacious, clean, comfortable and had great views. Secure parking was an additional $15 for the night. Would definitely stay again.
Everything was quite nice initially Staff on the desk was lovely, foyer clean and tidy. But the hallway on level 9 STINKS of old cat litter and cat urine. Which was confirmed when I saw two cats running free from one of the other apartments on the floor. You have to hold your breath from the lift to your room because the smell is so bad. Thankfully it doesn't permiate the room, which was nice (although no doona on the bed in the middle of Melbourne winter, just two sheets) and it was clean and tidy. But I cannot get past the cat piss smell! EDIT in response to response: I'm ok with food smells and live in an apartment so understand the shared nature - but it is UNHEALTHY to have that level of cat piss in the hallway.
Stayed in a 2br apartment with views and balcony. Honestly it is probably the noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The room was old and the furniture was to large for the room size. The floor was worn and dirty. The windows have dirty hand marks all over them. You couldn't sit in the balcony because of the road and train noise. The hotel is not close to shops and you have to travel to get anything. When I checked out I told them how disappointing the stay was and how the noise was so bad. They said "I know" and nothing else.
We had a wonderful stay at The Sebel Melbourne Malvern. The team provided very friendly, professional service from check-in to departure and made us feel genuinely welcome as a family. The apartments are modern, spacious, and very comfortable, with great facilities that made travelling with family much easier. Everything was clean, well maintained. The atmosphere was a perfect mix of family-friendly comfort and professional hospitality. Great location, excellent service, and a relaxing experience overall. We would happily stay again and highly recommend it to families or anyone looking for modern serviced apartments in Melbourne.
We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t fault the service. From the moment we arrived, the team was incredibly welcoming and consistently went above and beyond to help us. All of the staff were fantastic, but we especially wanted to give a special mention to Pranav, who we dealt with the most. He was absolutely outstanding — friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a genuine smile. Reception staff were always happy to assist, whether it was storing items for us on multiple occasions, helping with printing and scanning, or organising deliveries. No request was ever met with “we’re too busy,” and we always felt fully supported and accommodated. The apartment itself was quiet and comfortable, which made a big difference, and having a dryer in the apartment was a huge bonus. The gym facilities were great, and the cleaning staff were always friendly and lovely to deal with. Overall, the level of care and service from the entire team made our stay incredibly easy and stress-free. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
