The Prince

We stayed here for 4 days and we had a lovely time around St Kilda and exploring the beach suburbs of Melbourne, the front reception was very friendly and explained everything really well, including the car park and the lift the hotel was undergoing. Some fairly major renovations, but it didn't inconvenience us much at all. The rooms are really well set out and freshly painted and clean and the bathrooms are just like brand new. Don't let the outside of the hotel mislead you. Because it looks a little old on the outside. But the refurbishment and renovations inside make this hotel really nice and a very nice place to stay. It's perfectly located in the centre of St Kilda and you can walk to the beach or walk to the shops or walk around to the botanical gardens, it's a great location. I highly recommend this hotel..

Had dinner at the little Prince bar before show at the Prince Lounge. Great combined setup. Bar was excellent and service exceptionally good. Food a touch expensive, but its is St Kilda. Wine by the glass options excellent. Venue for show very good. Excellent night out and a return to the Prince of old!

From the first phone call when making the booking, to the chef sharing her secrets for fried tomatoes, speaking to each staff member was a delightful experience. Superb, stylish, clean and luxurious rooms, with long soft bathrobes, instant hot water and ocean views. The coffee was insanely great, the menu original and inspiring and the bar has a wide selection of refreshments including old favourites like Guinness. Highly recommended for interstate travel especially if you are catching an international act at the adjacent Prince Bandroom. If you like complete packages where everything is taken care of, then this is the place for you!

A great art deco style pub close to all the bars and restaurants, great to do a weekend! keep in mind to stay f seeing a show at The Palais Theatre. You can then walk to the Sunday markets the next day. Great to have parking and cooked breakfast of your menu choice too! great service and price. We will come back in warmer months and do it again!
