We had a wonderful stay at The Langham. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a luxurious atmosphere and an incredible attention to detail that makes you feel special from the moment you arrive.

Stayed for about a week leading up to the Melbourne Marathon. Amazing hotel, amazing staff, located right on the river close to anything you might need. Ray Mills in particular greeted our first steps onto the premises, took care of our bags and welcomed us in. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options. Solid gym nothing too fancy, but gets the job done. Ray made the stay extra special with the gifting of the famous Australian snack the Tim tam, yummmm. Above and beyond my expectations. It was a great experience, thank you Langham staff. Thank you Melbourne!
The service at this hotel is impeccable. They go above and beyond every day. From the front door staff greeting us by name to handwritten notes by management and surprises if you’re celebrating a milestone. Fantastic service. Yes the rooms are dated, but kept exceptionally clean. The beds are super comfortable. The towels are fluffy and huge. Toiletries are the best quality. And the breakfast is incredible. If you can splurge on a a club room, it’s worth it. Wonderful afternoon trees and evening drinks. We loved every minute.
This hotel has a lot going for it. It has a great location and great views of the city skyline, some great staff, including the concierge team who helped me out a lot with dinner and activity recommendations prior to my arrival, and a great well stocked gym. That said, I had a bad feeling when I walked in and after one night checked out and moved to another hotel. The main reason is that the hotel and its facilities are incredible dated. Like seriously, you'll see the pictures, but all the furniture in the room was worn and cheap feeling. I will say that I slept well. Carpeting throughout was a time warp. It felt like I was in a hotel that was at its prime in the 90s. The much vaunted breakfast at Melba was not great. Huge line to get in, overwhelmed staff, and took 20 minutes from when I sat down to receiving my first coffee. Since I had paid for club access I had hoped and assumed they would have breakfast, but not on Friday apparently. Maybe I just had an off experience, but the dated decor just didn't do it. Staff were accommodating and friendly and waived my fees when I left. Overall, great location but this hotel needs a full refresh yo be competitive.
Our stay at The Langham Melbourne was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by the wonderful bell team and staff, who made us feel like valued guests from the very beginning.
The room was absolutely stunning, elegant, immaculately clean, and beautifully appointed. The bedding was unbelievably comfortable, making for one of the best night's sleeps we've had in a hotel. The evening turndown service was such a thoughtful touch and really added to the luxury experience.
The food was delicious, and every interaction with the staff reflected true five-star service. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every detail was executed flawlessly.
We honestly haven't stopped talking about our stay with family and friends since returning home. It was an unforgettable experience, and we can confidently say The Langham will be our hotel of choice every time we visit Melbourne. We would recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and impeccable service.
