The Canvas Apartment Hotel

With the same rates, I will choose to live in an apartment with kitchen facilities and washing machine to do my laundry, keep my luggage till 8pm after check out, unlike an Airbnb. This makes my money worth. It is within the free tram zone, 10 mins walk away from southern cross station to take the skybus to the international airport. Request for a quiet room as the trains going to southern cross station can be loud. Reception staff for our check out on 4 Oct has been lovely and helpful. Thank you ladies!

The location is very convenient and just a short walk from the tram station. During my first stay, there was no hot water when I tried to take a shower. After I contacted customer service, the staff member on duty kindly took us to another room so we could shower there. Although the lack of hot water was frustrating and affected our experience at first, Yen, the staff member on duty, was extremely professional and friendly. She quickly helped us resolve the issue, and her excellent service was one of the main reasons I was willing to stay here again. I was very lucky to meet Yen again during my second stay. She was just as professional, considerate, and helpful as before, and she assisted us with both the check-in and check-out process smoothly. Yen is truly an amazing employee, and I sincerely hope the company recognizes and appreciates such an outstanding staff member. Thank you again, Yen! 🥰

My wife and I had our 2nd stay to the Canvas hotel and it was just as good if not better than our first. We booked through Airbnb both times. The rooms were very clean, well presented and the service was really excellent. The hotel itself is in an ok location near southern cross, and represents good value. A particular standout was receptionist, Dinithi, who was very kind and professional and made our stay extra pleasant and stress free after a couple of very stressful days!

Location is great, rooms are nice and spacious. Couple of gripes about this place though. (1) located directly beside a carpark, so if you’re a sensitive sleeper you might be affected by car engines (2) 1 functional lift for 27 floors. It takes us up to 15 mins of waiting for the elevator to go up and down esp during peak usage. (3) gym is only accessibld from 8am to8pm
