We hosted a small event in Private Suite 1 on level 46 overlooking Melbourne CBD and what a stunning and decadently arranged location for a semi formal private event! The cocktails were tasty, the food was delectable and there was a variety to choose from for our 3 course meal - our bellies were full! Bianca, our designated waitress for the evening was friendly, warm and helpful. Corresponding with Marjorie was straightforward and pleasant. All staff members were eager to assist! Our evening ran smoothly and easily thanks to Shadowplay accommodating and adapting to our activity needs (ie: hiring dancers to come in, adjusting timings for our 3 course meal and delivering us our many requested drinks!!) Despite another big event happening nearby, we were able to conduct our evening with great privacy and security! Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience 🎊

We had a wonderful stay at Shadow Play by Peppers Melbourne. The apartment was modern, stylish, and spotless, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered beautiful city views that made the experience even more special. The location is fantastic—close to Southbank, Crown, great restaurants, cafés, and public transport, making it easy to explore Melbourne. We also enjoyed the excellent facilities, especially the pool, gym, and sauna, which added to the relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Overall, it was a seamless and enjoyable experience from check-in to check-out. Highly recommend Shadow Play by Peppers for anyone looking for a stylish and convenient stay in Melbourne. We’ll definitely be back!
I had a fantastic stay and wanted to thank the team for their outstanding service. Harvey was incredibly helpful both before my arrival and during check-in. He was proactive in answering all of my questions, and made the arrival process smooth and welcoming. A special mention to the night manager as well. At around 1am I realised I had forgotten a dental kit, and they were kind enough to find one for me. It was a small gesture, but greatly appreciated. The staff member working at breakfast (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) was excellent. She was very attentive and took the time to clearly explain how breakfast worked, which made the experience easy and enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented. I also really enjoyed the lounge and pool facilities, which were both great additions to the stay. Overall, the service was consistently warm and professional from everyone I interacted with. Thank you to Harvey, Ashley, Reyhan, the breakfast team, and the night manager for helping make it such an enjoyable stay.
This residential block has a number of floors available for Hotel short stay accomodation. Modern in style these apartments offer a convenience and reasonably priced option if you are attending events around Southbank. With a kitchen and dining area and lounge included is suitable for a multi day stay and the WIFI is good. The only downside I felt were that the bathrooms are tiny and the bedrooms are not big enough to allow for a suitcase to be in the room. I was pleased they gave us a 2 bedroom upgrade, so we could use the other as a dressing room. The other oddity is the air con was only in the lounge area, so the bedroom were stuffy or we had to leave the door open. The pool is tiny although refreshing but boy does the wind come up on the corner of the block. Be mindful you you are sharing with some 40 floors of residential young people, so it can be crowded. The highlight and standout though was the restaurant / wine bar called Edwin. Whilst not a huge menu the food was well above expectation with quality ingredients, carefully prepared and tasty. The service too was attentive and the wine list extensive and varied. After a long day of meetings just having a place where you can go and eat well and dont need to wander out makes a big difference.
We found the 2 bedroom apartment a good option for our family stay. It's a small thing but I found it really hard to hang towels as the bathrooms only had a small rack, no hooks and the rooms didn't have vents so they got quite warm at night. I also thought the pool was heated but it certainly wasn't so we couldn't use it which was disappointing for the kids. We did really like the location and the kitchen and laundry facilities were great. Breakfast was simple but of good quality.
