An unexpected jewel of a find, recommended by a friend. Clean, spacious rooms. Digital key entry a new thing for me but worked seamlessly and the staff are on call via message for anything you need. Great location. Very affordable. Nice balcony. Much better than I expected for what I paid. Nice touches like lovely tea. Not a 5 star hotel but extremely comfortable, clean and convenient, with newly renovated bathrooms.
Clean and spacious double room apartment. Fully furnished and very comfortable. Great restaurant downstairs - delicious food and drinks. Check in was a little confusing, but access to and from the apartments was convenient and easy after the first access. Very impressive, and great value for money. Location in Brunswick near Sydney Road is also perfect.
Sadly the downside of unattended venues is having to phone for support when things go wrong - like no door code at check-in time. We were told the room wasn't ready, so waited in the lobby as we had a friend's wedding to get ready for. About 30 minutes after check in time, I texted to ask how long the delay would be, the reply came back immediately informing us the room was ready. If the communication was as good as the rooms, they'd have a good business.
If you walk out onto the balcony, expect to be locked outside in the wet & freezing weather with your toddler for an hour. Had to climb over the balcony to another room (explaining we were residents and not breaking in) after trying to hail a passer-by to phone for help. My only other complaint is there were 49261 varietals of green tea and no black tea (and only 2 coffee sachets).
A Very clean and comfortable large apartment at a very reasonable price. Full kitchen and laundry plus car parking if you need it. Close to trams and trains to the city. Great local shops, a variety of restaurants, bars and take-aways. Nearby well/stocked supermarkets. Quiet and secure building. A great place to stay.
