Quest St Kilda Bayside

The hotel / services apartment are relatively basic however very clean and functional. Small kitchen and washer and drier. Pool and gym decent but just go walk 5 min to beach.

When my family or myself go away for business or short holiday we stay with Quest unless they are not available or there is no Quest in the area. By being loyal to them one would think that they would be loyal in return. Wrong, they do not care. You are just a number to them and the way they treated us today is the reason why I gave them a one star, It is a shame when business lower their standards and treat their customers in a poorly manner, it is the customer that builds their business. Many months ago Quest data was breached and they sent us an email informing us that I was one of the customers that had their identity and information taken. No apology just a email, but still I stay with Quest. I rang Quest St Kilda Bayside, looking to book accommodation for next year, but instead given the run around or put on hold, I was then told that the reservation branch will ring back, this never happened. I gave up waiting and rang reservation who put me on hold as they rang Quest Bayside, the operator came back and offered a deal that was the same as an online booking agent but came with a catch, if you cancelled you lost what you paid. I explained to the operator that on the Quest web site it mention that if you find a deal through a booking agent and ring Quest direct you should get a better price and/or best deal guaranteed. The operator gave us another price which was higher than the online booking agent, I told the operator that it would be easier to book with the online agent and let Quest pay the commission. The line went silent for a while so I said goodby and ended the call. The above should have been a simple booking but instead became complicated, frustrating and cost several hours of my time. So why should I stay a loyal customer when Quest has no respect for their customers or cannot honour their own guarantee.

I recently stayed at Quest Bayside for work. Overall, the accommodation was comfortable, but it does feel a little dated and could benefit from a refresh. The room was clean and tidy, and I appreciated having cooking facilities along with a washer and dryer, which made the stay much more convenient. The gym was very limited, which was a little disappointing, and although the weather was cold, the outdoor pool was covered in leaves. It gave the impression that the grounds weren't being maintained as well as they could be. On the positive side, the reception staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout my stay. My biggest concern was the $300 security bond. It seemed excessive given the condition of the rooms, particularly when there were no stocked food or drink items in the apartment that would typically justify a bond of that size. A more reasonable bond, or clearer explanation for the amount, would have made more sense. Overall, it was a decent stay for work, but with some updates and a little more attention to presentation and facilities, it could offer a much better guest experience.

Stayed at Quest Bayside St Kilda for 2 nights. Walking distance to Luna Park, Palais Theatre, Acland Street Cake Shops, Cafes & Restaurants. Quiet Location, comfortable room, kitchen facilities, washing facilities, nice hot shower with good water pressure. Offstreet parking. The staff were friendly & helpful 😃
