Perfect stay , not the first & definitely not the last! My bed was an issue as it was 2 singles put together, not great sleeping at all .

We had a terrible experience at Punt Hill Knox. To start with something positive, the staff at reception were friendly and the room itself was a good size with a comfortable bed. Everything else about the stay was shocking. We were locked out of our room multiple times and the parking area because the key cards didn’t work consistently. Once, it was nearly 3 hours at night time with our 1 year old. I had medicine inside the room that I needed to access at a specific time. No one was on site, the emergency number was slow to pick up, and security took a long time to arrive (though they were kind when they did). They processed a refund but that is the bare minimum that they could do. Another night, my husband was locked outside in the pool/gym area for nearly 2 hours. Their response was that he should have read the (small) sign even though the door opened. A sign isn’t accessible to everyone and a pool area should never lock you in. What if a child had opened the door and gotten locked in? That would be incredibly dangerous and stressful and, “They should have read the sign,” wouldn’t cut it. Not to mention the many drug affected individuals who were guests at the hotel. We came here for a week because we are in an already stressful circumstance. This experience was incredibly unhelpful. I would never stay here again.

I rarely make a Google review, but want to make an exception this time. I booked this to stay close to friends and relatives during Feb 2026. Then I saw a lot of bad reviews here. Not gonna lying I hesitated a bit, but didn’t cancel due to the location. I stayed in adjoining two-bedroom room. It’s much better and spacious than I thought. It’s not new, but functional. The hygiene is not perfect, e.g. the bed is not top-notch spotless but acceptable. The bathroom is clean. I stayed there with 2 different bookings and 2 rooms. Both rooms are good for me. I contacted them before my stay and they responded quickly. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful, too. The housekeeper staff are very friendly as well. Location wise, it’s walkable to a 7-11 and domino. Also walkable to the Westfield Knox shopping mall, which is convenient for me to do a bit of grocery shopping or late night snack. It feels safe to walk there as well. It may not be a good choice if your itinerary is around the cbd, but for us who planned to go to Dandenong, puffing billy railways, Hasting or Glen Waverley, it’s the perfect spot. Overall it is a good deal for me to stay there.
