Location was fabulous for getting to NGV and Federation Square, proximity to public transport and places to eat. As a solo traveller I appreciated the safeness of the hotel. Studio apartment was spacious, and well arranged, and fairly quiet considering where it is in the heart of the city.

Stayed at Punthill Apartment Hotels, Flinders Lane for a week. The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with a very convenient location right in the prime area of Melbourne and surrounded by plenty of cafes and restaurants. However, this may not be the best choice if you are looking for a very quiet and peaceful environment, as it is located in a busy central area. Housekeeping is also not done daily. When cleaning was provided, it was quite basic, mainly removing general waste and cleaning the kitchen area. A special mention to Miss Blessing at the reception. She was very friendly, helpful, and assisted me a lot during my stay. Her excellent service really made the experience better.
The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and a basic kitchen that was useful for preparing simple meals. The location is also excellent and makes it easy to access many attractions, restaurants, and shops. However, I was quite disappointed with several aspects of my stay. The noise at night and early in the morning made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. There was loud music, people arguing, garbage trucks, street maintenance, and other disturbances. The apartment was also not as clean as expected. All the surfaces were dusty, and the bathroom did not meet an acceptable standard of cleanliness. I had to call several times to request housekeeping. The most frustrating part was the parking. Although it is not cheap, the entrance and exit are extremely difficult to navigate and there is a high risk of damaging your car. The parking spaces are also very small, making parking quite stressful. Overall, the room and location were great, but the noise, cleanliness, and parking experience significantly affected my stay.
We are a family of three and stayed in interconnecting studio apartments for one week. The room was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very lovely. We had a comfortable stay and really enjoyed it. Definitely will come back. Highly recommended.
First impressions: What a large room, and a separate bedroom with a nice, clean bathroom off it. A nice kitchen area. It's all so clean. Enough seating and great lighting. Enough crockery and stuff in the kitchen. Does the aircon work? Yes it does - a bit slow maybe? Friendly, helpful young lady on reception. Parking area pretty grotty, but secure and only $35 per night. Also a lift straight from parking to the accommodation floors. Any shops nearby: Coles and Woolworth about 5 minutes walk. Restaurants and takeaways just nearby. What's the absolute worst thing? The window frames are a bit old and worn, but in the bedroom there is secondary glazing which is modern enough. This is just great. After a day or two: The bed is great for me. The water flow from the shower is pretty bad. The tap on the wash basin in the bathroom sprays everywhere. The toaster should be replaced. The noise from outside is really bad. Double glazing would be a huge improvement, but a big investment. Clean but needing a bit of maintenance - only a bit though.
