Nesuto is the only hotel we stay at in Docklands. We love the kitchenette, and if you ask for a room overlooking the Melbourne Star (which is spinning again 🌟), it will be an amazing site at night. China Bar Restaurant is below the hotel, as is Woolies and Dan Murphy. The District shopping centre is directly over the road, there is a Hoyt’s and a Pancake Parlour. Reception staff were fab, and a special shout out to Ace for superior service. Thanks everyone for a lovely stay✨

The hotel is lovely, reasonably well priced at the time we stayed. Bookings are very flexible. Staff are always friendly on both of our stays here. Theres great views from the rooms, of either the city or the docks. Handy to many things, supermarket, chemist, and many dinings options as well as things to see. Parking is handy and better than on street parking. A short walk to the city circle tram stop.
Great location to stay with the kids and have ease of access to activities and a Woolworths supermarket right downstairs. There are multiple cafes and restaurants within walking distance and the pricing is not overpriced. The apartment was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Despite construction near by the block out blinds and soundproofing meant we were not woken up early.
My family of 6 and I stayed at Nesuto Docklands Melbourne from 18 to 24 June 2026, and it truly felt like our home away from home. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Melbourne. The biggest highlight is the location. It is incredibly convenient for families and travellers staying a few days or longer. Right downstairs is East West Marketplace, an Asian supermarket where we could easily buy groceries and ingredients. There is also Woolworths The District Docklands, which opens from 7.00am to 10.00pm on weekdays and 8.00am to 10.00pm on weekends. They also sell Halal meat! This was extremely helpful whenever we needed groceries early in the morning or after returning from a full day of sightseeing. Directly opposite the hotel is The District Docklands shopping centre. Although most shops close around 6pm, it has everything a traveller might need, including luggage, wallets, winter socks, travel essentials, restaurants, cafés, and one of the largest Australian souvenir stores we came across during our trip. There is also an ice cream shop nearby that stays open late, making it a great place to end the evening. Transport was another major advantage. The hotel is conveniently located between two free tram stops, NewQuay Promenade/Docklands Drive and Waterfront City/Docklands Drive. Tram routes 35, 70, and 86 made travelling into Melbourne's CBD quick and easy, and the Free Tram Zone saved us both time and money throughout our stay. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well equipped. Having a full kitchen, laundry facilities, and a smart TV with screen sharing made our extended stay extremely comfortable. It truly felt like living in an apartment rather than staying in a hotel. The staff were always helpful whenever we needed assistance, whether it was with the dishwasher, the TV remote, or arranging a 13cabs booking. There are only a couple of suggestions. When we checked in, the sofa bed had already been pulled out even though we had not requested it, so we simply folded it back into a sofa ourselves. As Muslim travellers, we would also appreciate handheld bidets in the bathrooms, which would make the stay even more comfortable. For fellow Muslim travellers planning to stay here, I would recommend bringing a portable bidet and sertu soap if you prefer to perform sertu on kitchen utensils or dishes during your stay. Overall, these were only very minor points. Nesuto Docklands exceeded our expectations in every way. If you are looking for a comfortable, well-located apartment hotel with excellent transport links and fantastic nearby amenities, I highly recommend staying here. It was one of the best accommodation experiences we had during our Melbourne holiday.
Stayed 6 nights at Nesuto Docklands Apartment Hotel and overall it was an okay stay, but there were definitely some things worth mentioning for families travelling with a baby. Location: The hotel is not too far from the CBD — around 15 minutes driver into the city area — but tram access wasn’t as convenient as we expected. Price: We paid around AUD $1,150 for a 6-night apartment stay, which was reasonable for Melbourne standards. Parking: Parking was AUD $150 for 6 nights. The parking area itself was spacious and always had availability, which was great. However, the system was extremely inconvenient. We paid for unlimited in-and-out access, but instead of the hotel providing a working QR code for entry, the QR system never worked properly. Every single time we entered, we had to take the free 90-minute ticket and then contact reception to extend it manually. Very frustrating and unnecessary for long-stay guests. Room: The apartment was fairly clean overall. Before arrival, I contacted the hotel requesting a high-floor room and extra attention to cleanliness because we were travelling with a baby. Unfortunately, we were placed on level 7, which felt quite busy with lots of people coming and going, plus noise from children crying nearby. Housekeeping: The hotel policy is housekeeping once every 4 days. If you request additional cleaning, they only provide a light service. Honestly, this isn’t very suitable for families with babies, especially when cooking in the apartment and dealing with a lot of rubbish daily. Overall, not a bad stay, but there are definitely areas that could be improved — especially the parking process and housekeeping policy for longer family stays.
