Enjoyable experience. The staff were accommodating, friendly and very helpful. Location was excellent for exploring and right next to skybus, train, and tram stations. The room was comfortable and exactly what we needed. Cant recommend highly enough!
We had a fantastic stay at Mövenpick Melbourne. The location is absolutely brilliant, with the CBD, shops, restaurants, public transport and major attractions all within an easy walk. It made exploring Melbourne incredibly convenient. A special shout-out to Tim at the front desk, whose service was exceptional. He was warm, helpful and genuinely memorable, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He is a real credit to the hotel. Our room was compact but thoughtfully designed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, a wonderful experience in a superb location, made even better by outstanding service. We would happily stay here again.
I recently completed a three-night stay at the Mövenpick Hotel on Spencer Street. As an Accor Gold member, I was very pleased to receive an early check-in and a complimentary upgrade to a Superior King Room. Every interaction with the reception staff was fantastic—warm, professional, and entirely consistent with the high standard of service I have previously experienced at the Mövenpick Hotel Hobart. The primary reason for rating this stay four stars rather than five comes down to the food and beverage offerings. The bar area was consistently overcrowded, making it difficult to order a drink. Furthermore, when utilizing the QR code system, it took nearly 30 minutes for a beverage to arrive. The breakfast quality was also inconsistent; out of the three mornings, only one featured a truly plentiful selection of freshly cooked hot food. Because I have had such wonderful dining experiences at the Mövenpick Hobart's Italian restaurant, my expectations for the culinary offerings here were quite high, but unfortunately, they weren't entirely met. Overall, the hotel itself is excellent and the service from the front desk is top-tier. However, for future stays, I would likely look to nearby external options for dining and drinks.
I had to make sure I reviewed Movenpick on Spencer what can I say. Everything was amazing. The staff../ so helpful courteous and Nothing was too much trouble with any queries or requests The Miss Mi restaurant was an absolute dining pleasure. The rooms … Bed was so comfortable and the rooms so very very clean. The pool area was also extremely clean and was vey much enjoyed in this cold winter. And we can’t forget the Buffet breakfast and coffee.. Food coma was achieved all weekend. Will definitely stay again and will highly recommend Movenpick to all I speak with. Thank you all for a great weekend escape.
Such a great vibe and a fantastic location, with easy walking access to Southern Cross Station. I've stayed here before for work and loved the room, but this time I was travelling with my nine-year-old. The booking recommendation was for a twin room, and I wasn't quite prepared for the narrow single beds. They're perfectly fine for younger children, but I did spend the night feeling like I might roll off the bed! Next time, I'll definitely opt for a king room. One of our favourite touches was the 2pm Chocolate Hour in the lobby . The pool was a little chilly since it's partly outdoors, but we really enjoyed relaxing in the spa. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily return.
