Stayed two nights. The room itself was fine. That is not why this is one star. The booking was meant to be about $270 all up. I barely used the room, did not park, did not have breakfast, and left it clean. After checkout my card showed five separate charges from the hotel: $372, $377, $32, $270 and $101. That card was never given to the booking company — only to reception. Trying to sort it out by phone was worse. Called six times about the billing and was hung up on six times. No folio, no explanation, just dial tone. A decent room does not make up for unexplained charges and a front desk that will not stay on the line for a billing dispute. Sort the account in writing and release whatever should never have been sitting on the card.

June 2025, we stayed for 2 nights and quite enjoyed our stay. The hotel is bit dated and rooms need renovation. We got upgraded to the nicer part of the hotel with view of the Albert Park and breakfast was included as part of Platinum membership. It's joined with Pullman so breakfast is served in the same restaurant, which is great. Would love to come back once the hotel has a refresh.
Is this supposed to be a 4 star hotel? There is a reason why Google reviews are 3.6 stars and not 4.6…. Here are a list of improvements: • TV too small and too old. The minimum expectation of a 4 star hotel is a smart Tv with Chrome Cast. If you don’t offer the option to connect to the customers streaming services then at a very minimum you need to provide Foxtel or some other pay tv. Watching channel 9 in a 4 star hotel is unacceptable. What is most frustrating is there is technically a way to connect to the TV by “screen mirroring” but it’s not possible because the staff don’t even know what the wifi password is, which is a requirement for screen mirroring…. • Time to replace the carpets. They are ripping, bubbling and sagging. • The hotel is generally quite old and needs a renovation, perhaps not immediately but very soon - that renovation should include soft closing toilet seats, draws and cupboards and safety chains on the door. • The Airconditioning seems to be set at its own preferred temperature regardless of how high or low the customer sets it at. • Thanks for fixing the wifi- good job….👍
I had a very disappointing experience during my stay at the hotel. The room was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. The tables were not cleaned properly, and the carpet was very untidy and dirty, which made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. Basic amenities were also missing. There was no toothpaste provided in the room, and I had to repeatedly ask for it every day. In addition, there were no slippers or bathrobe available during my stay. Overall, the level of cleanliness, housekeeping, and service did not meet expectations at all. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the standards for future guests.
We went to a show in Suburban St Kilda, and rather than drive 50kms home we opted to stay in town. The offering was good and being an Accor member we always get looked after. so while I made a budget booking we got an upgrade and extra 10% off. Parking out front on arrival was easy and after the show we got a free spot adjacent which made it better. the room was comfortable and a pleasnt night was had
