Mantra Melbourne Epping

Stopped in for breakfast. While the food and atmosphere felt pretty standard—about a 3-star level—the overall convenience and effort from the team earned them a 4-star rating from me. A nice, easy place to start your day.

Arrived at the Mantra Epping on Tuesday 29 July only to find a boom gate and a sign stating that as a motel guest, you are now required to pay for parking. Now, given that; A) We travelled from Albury NSW B) There is no Trams or Trains within walking distance of the Motel C) I am a recipient of the NDIS and a person with a disability. D) We booked through Booking.com and there is no mention of paid parking or having to pay for the parking until you go through four (4) additional pages (Extremely hidden). When I spoke to the reception staff, one made a comment that "most of their visitors catch a Uber to their Hotel" ..... I replied, I am upset over a parking fee and you suggest I catch a Uber from Albury? (4.5 hours North). He then suggested I become a member of the Hotel chain. I said, "Will this remove the cost of parking?" He said, "No." So, here is my honest review, The Mantra Epping is now charging disabled people to park in the designated disabled parking bays. These bays are a purpose labelled bay that all Hotels are required by law to provide for the purpose of the said disabled person to be close to the Entry point for the purpose to limit any impact on such a person and the handling of their luggage. *Key point to be made here and understand is; No Goverment including local councils apply any such fee on any person's with disabilities. Shame on the Mantra Epping, Shame Shame Shame. You have lost my business and now the world will know. Any person reading this, please go onto Booking.com and see how hard it is to find out that the parking is not free. Charging disabled people for a need beyond their own control is plain and simply DISTGUSTING!

Great experience from start to finish. From booking on the phone to the small personal touches once in the room. The room was lovely with all the mod cons, most especially it was very clean and tidy. Hotel was ideally located, especially if you don't NEED to be in the city (but if you do the train went directly there). Very convenient location and close enough to the airport. It was a mixed business and family trip so accommodated for both. Staff was very friendly and attentive so a VERY BIG THANK YOU.

Checkin was smooth and efficient, Alyssia checked us in. Alyssia is an asset the Mantra. She made my family feel welcome and it felt like home. I could not fault this hotel or service. I will definitely stay here again. Rooms were clean and tidy. I could not fault this hotel. Thank you for making me and my family feel welcome
